This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

It was formatted like a quote, meaning that it was pretending to be one.

Swapped and linked to appropriate work.
Fight smart, not fair. And yet, in the years that this trope has been around, you're the first one to have been confused by it.
There's no absolute rule against self-quotes, as far as I know. It's discouraged, but not forbidden.
And we can always attribute it to "unknown." Still, I see no reason to remove the quote on Hailfire Peaks.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Somebody changed the quote in Guilt-Free Extermination War, I think the old one was better, agreement?

Fight smart, not fair.Absolutely, especially since it was actually an example.
There's a mention in the discussion, me and one other person agreed, that'll make three agreements on the old one.
Fight smart, not fair. Also agree that the old quote was better.
Load-Bearing Boss can benefit from a quote that doesn't mention the Collapsing Lair.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Why We Can't Have Nice Things has two quotes. I think the first one should stay, since it sums up the trope with fewer words.
The first one. Second sounds more like it is about the phrase.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanActually, I think the second one is better (although the first sentence could probably be trimmed). The first quote doesn't actually indicate that any damage has been done—I'm just assuming that there has been based on the page context.
Prison Episode has a quotation from a character who is behind spoiler tags, because his characterization earlier in the movie is different from that later in the movie. I think it could use something more clearly specific to prison, though. Here is one alternative idea, I'm not sure whether it's better or worse than the Toy Story 3 one...
Sonic: And this cell must be mine!
Robotnik: Oh, nonononono NO! I have a special cell for you! In fact I have a special wing for you! A wing that even you, my supersonic pest, CANNOT escape from!
Sonic: AAH! That's one fast-talk trick that just backfired. Sonic, ol' bud, you're in trouble.

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartI'm not too fond of the Stuff Blowing Up quote. It's more about bashing films for using explosions over plot (which at best fits Polish the Turd) than informing the trope.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. You Can Keep Her! has as its page quote a bit of prose that some troper made up. I would prefer having an actual quote from media; can we find a suitable one?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!plenty in the example section
Hudson Hawk
Darwin Mayflower: I'll kill your friends, your family, and the bitch you took to the prom!
Hudson Hawk: Betty Jo Bialowski? I can get you an address on that if you want.
Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid
"What are you doing?"
"Stealing your woman."
pause "Take her"
Or, of course
Take my wife. Please.

I like the second quote on the quotes page: "Explosions! MORE explosions! I got to have more explosions!"
I think any of the ones abk () mentioned would work well (as long as the third one actually has an attribution).
Strange Minds Think Alike needs a better quotation. The current one doesn't actually demonstrate the trope at all.
The trope:
The current quotation:
"I like the second quote on the quotes page: "Explosions! MORE explosions! I got to have more explosions!""
There is also:
- "A nice explosion now and then keeps the mind sharp."
- "There are no problems which cannot be solved by judicious use of high explosives."
- "I got to draw superfluous explosions, though! Those are my favorite kind!"
- "I don't have to blow up everything I see. I just like to."
- Donos: Pretty. What do we blow up first?
Wedge: Write that down. That ought to be Wraith Squadron's official motto.
And... plenty of others.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I like both the "more explosians" and "superfluous explosians" ones.
I'm vaguely considering adding this quote to the quote- and quotepage-less Comical Angry Face, but I'd like a second opinion — does it work without context and visuals? (Page.)
->Elon: Why must you always put yourself at risk like this? We all know how dangerous the forest is! Furthermore-!
Myari: That's easy! I like it when your eyes bug out!
Elon: My eyes DON'T bug out!
I think that works.
Yeah, I'm okay with that.
Any opinions on what specifically to use for You Can Keep Her!?

I like the Hudson Hawk quote.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdNPC Roadblock needs a new quote; the current one's garbage.
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
It wasn't pretending to be a quote, it was just a jokey way of starting the description.
