This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Scaled Up has two quotes, which would should stay?
New theme music also a boxNot the Methods one. It's not a straight example.
Evil Overlord List is better.
Check out my fanfiction!and Agree.
Agreed (on the basis of lenght), and executed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman->Paden: Did you offend anyone? ->Emmitt: Not for five years. ->Paden: Jefferson City? ->Emmitt: No, Leavenworth. —>— Silverado
Just seems weak. Nothing about it says "just" out of jail, and the dialog just seems awkward without context. Also confusing are the location names... it's not clear if Paden is asking about Jails or if he's just learning that Emmitt was in jail.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yeah, that is junk. Ditch it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanEvil Phone has two quotes. Neither of them really speaks to me. Nor do any of the ones on the quote page.
The meme one might be the best at actually suggesting the trope, but it makes me cringe.
Hoping for other opinions, and, if we're really lucky, maybe a completely new suggestion.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.OK, meme sounds really horrible.
The other, Doctor Who and 1408 make no sense.
The Elm Street quote makes no sense if you don't know Freddy Krueger.
I so wish we had an article How To Survive A Horror Film. Is anyone familiar with horror enough to find a quote?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAn idea?
"Ringing? What's that about? Ringing? You're not even a real phone, and you're ringing?"
—> Doctor Who, The Empty Child
You mean like How to Survive a Horror Movie? (Athough that's actually a work page, so it probably won't help—but the work might.) :)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Mental Picture Projector has two quotes. Given how small the description is, the quotes are about the same length of it combined. Which one should stay?
Macron's notesI'd say the second quote is clearer.
Yeah. The first can be interpreted metaphorically.
Check out my fanfiction!Second quote. First looks metaphorical.
Also, Xtifr, I was talking about one of these many horror survival guides that float around on the Internet. Like "Never investigate strange noises/lights", "The person walking through the forest at night with a hockey mask isn't friendly" and so on.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAgree on the second quote for Mental Picture Projector, so I went ahead and moved the other.
Meanwhile, Oh, My Gods! also has two, and again, I'm really not sure (though unlike last time I said I'm really not sure, this time I don't hate both).
eta: I'm pretty sure the book I mentioned is a print version of the sort of thing.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I'd prefer the Asterix one, because I do not quite understand what the Superman one is about.
Also, I was thinking of an analog of the Evil Overlord List, not just a work page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAgree with the Asterix quote for Oh, My Gods!.
Sounds good to me. Done. I note that the examples themselves are full of quotes in any case... :)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Sleazy Politician has two quotes, which one should be kept on the page?
New theme music also a boxThe second one, for lenght.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe first, for being more on-topic and relevant. (And for being a classic from a massively influential work, though that's definitely a secondary reason at best.)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I'm good with either.
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
I agree. The HP one is talking about Sirius Black, when everyone thought he was a Death Eater who had betrayed Harry's parents, but that's not clear if you're not familiar with the context.
