I really like Accel's suit, but I gotta say, his finisher last ep was kinda unimpressive.

Another thing I've been wondering - is Masquerade unique in that it can be mass-produced, or what?

...and now we have a woman cop that shoots down mooks and doesn't afraid of anything. Hopefully she'll get to be badass and stay that way. ...also, she's kinda hot.

I prefer OZC-Live's subs for W. They translate Accel's catchphrase as "Your despair lies beyond the finish line." And his other one is just "don't question me," none of that "don't ask me questions" nonsense.

Anyways between four flights and some downtime at my parents' house I watched up to episode 32 of Ryuki. This show is So. Fucking. Good. It's really rekindling my love of Kamen Rider. I may have just dropped $80 as a downpayment for the SHF Ryuki Survive + Dragranzer set that's coming out in April. I don't know, it was all a blur. I'm thinking next paycheck I'm going for Kamen Rider Odin. I only saw him in one episode but he was such a badass in it that I can hardly resist. I'll definitely have finished the series by then at least.

I've been wondering... jackass secondary Riders; why is it a thing?

Sure, I think I get the polar opposite with the title character thing, but holy shit there are so many these days.

I may need to rewatch some shows to make me understand them, but if I was any of the title Riders, I'd probably not give a damn about their opinions. Not with the attitude they have, anyway.

Kazami Shiro will definitely beat some sense into Terui Ryu. Climax Heroes Fourze even have them as some sort of rivals. Makes me wish that there are some translations floating around online.

Probably because they think making the secondary rider a Bad Ass Anti-Hero will make them popular.

I agree that we see too much of them truthfully, but friendly secondary riders don't always work out either.

I think we do see too many. I've only finished Fourze, Gaim and Drive, as well as being up-to-date on Ghost (also much of original KR but the secondary rider thing didn't work that way back then) even that small sample shows the annoying tendency. Sometimes it helps the story but sometimes it's just painfully obvious that they'd achieve their goals better by working together.

Kind of interested in how Ghost is going to go now. With the revelation that Specter wants the eyecons to resurrect his sister, they either need some way to save both Takeru and Kanon without it seeming like an Ass Pull or somebody's just staying dead. Or they just do an Ass Pull, which is unfortunately an option.

Makoto does say Kanon, because Takeru lets him, then finds out that Ryu's wasn't responsible for them getting sucked into the Ganma world. Everyone is pissed at him, and he swears to find another way to help Takeru return to life as penance.

I think it's obvious that the old guy in black was the one responsible for throwing the siblings into the monolith. Would be surprising if Takeru's dad WAS somehow responsible, but I kinda doubt it.

Hey, a theory; what if Kuuga's Rising Ultimate form isn't an upgrade, but a limiter to the normal Ultimate Form?

Yeah, it's obvious to everyone but Makoto. He hasn't even considered it, likely due to his issues with them for forgetting him. That old dude is playing him like a fiddle, and after his bullshit about calling Takeru naive.

Why would Rising Ultimate be a limiter. Isn't it supposed to be stronger than regular ultimate?

Gaim is good when watching weekly but I imagine binge watching it would suck because it's actually quite terrible in terms of pacing and its characterization.

Eh, two-parter shows like Double and Wizard are even worse for binge-watching IMO.

The ONLY thing that Ultimate Form Kuuga did in the show is smack Daguva around a bit and break his belt. Everything about its power level being enough to destroy the earth with one kick is just fanwankery mixed with non-canon crossovers and games. Admittedly I haven't seen Decade, but Ultimate Form Kuuga is a major letdown within the context of its own show.
