And a rather well known work as that. There's only a "The" difference between Return Of The King and The Return Of The King

We could use the ''WorldOfWarcraft'' parody option: "Hey, the king's back!"

Yes, I'm joking, but this trope is so Exactly What It Says on the Tin that its unfortunate we can't keep a simple name.

Just leave it be. It is simple, clear and concise.

Not 'clear'. May be confused with the work.

I wonder, however, how much people link to any book/film of the trilogy separately. Usually it just goes to Lord Of The Rings.

Is it being misused?

Return Of The King found in: 177 articles, excluding discussions.

This title has brought 80 people to the wiki from non-search engine links since 20th FEB '09.

Check 13 (about the Square Root of 177) random Wiks, and if you prove misuse, we'll talk about renaming.

[down]If you want to demonstrate differences in links, you should use a . instead of a /. Main.Lord Of The Rings and Film.Lord Of The Rings.

Besides, it isn't as if someone would have to know the plot of the work with a similar title to understand the trope name, so there is no Fan Myopia involved. Also, we have to seperate work page of The Return of the King novel or book. We use The Lord Of The Rings for the books and The Lord of the Rings for the movies.

One could easily argue that the book's title was named for the concept. Misuse is suspected, though — a wick check might be in order.

I like "Hey, the king is back." it's a Shout-Out, an example and gets the trope across. (funny too.)

The King Returns would be a feasible (if bland) alternative, but is a simple "the" enough reason to disambiguate?

We would need to check 50 wicks by the way - the formula is only the square root of the wick-count when it's above 2500 (i.e. 50 is considered the minimum when there's more than that)

Shouldn't we be kicking the works into the proper namespace?

[up]Wouldn't mean much, as the redirect would still stand.

[up][up]Seems bad. The sample is too small, but this is definitively not a good start.

I'd be fine renaming to something similar like The King Returns or Restoring The Rightful King.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

That's definitely misuse. Vote to rename then.

Can someone make a crowner for voting on a new name?

So, you've got a biased sampling method?
