Angel (in story): wake up screaming. One of her recurring nightmares is seeing her family killed by monsters/demons. She lost most of her family in the plague when she was very little.

Your character is cast on a talent search style reality show.

Cora: Definitely Does Not Want To Be There. She was probably goaded into it by a friend, and would argue in front of the cameras that she has no demonstratable talents. Technically a lie, but she's become acclimatized to magic in such a way that she does not consider it a "talent" due to her ineptitude at it.

Ran: Good-naturedly tries to think up one of her skills besides magic, and settles on her ability to solve puzzles really, really quickly. She gets buzzed off the stage by every judge but that one very nice British fellow.

On that note: The next character is trying to gain entrance into a building, but to do so, the guards are insisting he/she solves puzzles at every floor in order to advance.

The next character is trying to gain entrance into a building, but to do so, the guards are insisting he/she solves puzzles at every floor in order to advance.

Jaryl: (thinking) <Shouldn't they, oh, I dunno, guard the building? As in, not letting anyone unauthorized, such as myself, even get near the building? But no, all they do is giving us ''puzzles'', in hopes that we fail to clear them somewhere along the line ...>

Jin: *solves the puzzles in the meanwhile*

Your character gets sent on an errand, and finds himself swiped up in a scheme bigger than everything he thought.

Anna (in story): goes out to "get food". In despiration she tries to loot a convience store, and meets Athena. 3 days latter Anna has a new name, Ace, a new drug addiction, and she works for the Pheonix foundation. She just goes with it. Happy to now have a way of feeding her kid. Ocasionly she worries about what she has become and what kind of example she's setting.

Your character falls out of a tree and brakes her arm.

Trevor: Puts his uninjured hand to his head and does a spell to dampen his pain, then gets up and goes to find help.

Your character finds a half-naked, sobbing stranger in his/her bathroom, obviously in the process of having a mental breakdown.

If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.

A srtanger having a mental breakdown :totally normal. A stranger having a mental breakdown in one of the Phoenix bathrooms: interesting. Assuming a female stranger in the lady's room. Ace finds the girl and approaches slowly to see if she is violent. If not physically attacked, Ace would call Athena. Athena would sedate her and take her to the infirmary for medical treatment. Insanity and emotional breakdowns are symptoms of plague relapse. Assuming she lives and wakes up reasonably sain she works for Pheonix now. If she wakes up completely insane she may become a lab rat.

Your character is given a motorcycle.

  • Beowulf stares at the thing and plays with the various gadgets quizzically. All he's able to figure out is that it's big, made of steel, and very heavy.
  • Ditto for everybody else from the 6th century.
  • Jack should not be allowed to drive anything, not even a motorcycle. (he normally gets around on Angela's pillion), he revs the thing into action and flops over in the middle of traffic.
  • Angela compliments the make—good, but not quite her type. She prefers the feel of the good old Sabra.
  • Everyone else from the 20th or 21st century reacts in a manner similar to Jack as they aren't bikers.

Your character meets their deity (or the deity the people of their culture believe in, if atheist) in person. If a pantheon, one of the deities.

Cora: Makes a few very awkward attempts at being respectful—sure, she's not personally an adherent of Lit's, but her friends would never forgive her if she was rude. Luckily, Lit is a pretty easygoing goddess, and Cora leaves the situation feeling vaguely giddy.

Ran: Is much better at being respectful, and, in her kindest and most sideways way, she probably asks them why all that crap with Archons has to happen to Nick.

The next character goes skinny dipping, and then discovers their clothes are missing.

Lynette assumes John took them, and calmly walks back to the house naked, secure in the knowledge that his old-style views on modesty are going to leave him feeling more awkward than someone who grew up around shapeshifters.

Seth already gets that power over females, so he'd probably just be more of a dick towards the males.

Suzu would panic about it at first and then let it all go to her ego.

Jessica... would stop talking.

Edward would use it to rule the world with an iron fist.

Your character is given three wishes, what would s/he wish for?

Angel: cry. Ace can't stand making Angel cry, it makes her feal like a monster. Angel knows this.

Anyone else: If the family member is bing unreasonable or histerical check them for plague symptoms emotional outbursts can be a sign of relaps.

Evil Alex would suffer an extreme Freak Out, as his ultimate plan is predicated on the assumption that there isn't Anyone Else up there to stop him. Once he got a hold of himself, he'd likely go to Plan B.

Your character's pet, or other animal they're close to, is suddenly killed in an accident.

Cora: A world of hurt would be upon the poor soul who dares do harm to Mango. Even if it may not be magically-inclined, a staff beatdown would probably be forthcoming. Even if it is an accident.

Ran: Would probably be more immediately concerned with consoling Nick, since the talking cobra Samantha was his Parental Substitute growing up. If it was an "accident" kind of accident, she'd let Apollo and Alex take care of the beatings while she hugged Nick and let him cry. And probably cries a little herself.

The next character arrives at a party only to realize it's a costume party, and they weren't prepared.

Try to pass of what they have on as a costume.

Ace or Tango : " dude I'm a soldier/medic"

Ghost or Julian : " I'm death"

Angel: "uh, I'm a hippy"

Phoenix home base :Do nothing that's what the watchers are for.

Uncle Jack's house: Grab a coat and a weapon say a quick prayer and confront the proweler. However considering the location it pretty likly to be an animal or Ghost.
