Requests to Unlock Locked Pages

Ah, okay. I'm not always up-to-date with the changes taking place; I mostly stick around the main site rather than the forum. Well, having those tabs would make it easier, then; I didn't realize that there was a plan to replace the Main tab. (And since I was working with a videogame page I didn't recall that other pages had their own already.)

Can someone unlock the page for Ctrl Alt Del? Believe it or not, it actually ended and it's getting rebooted.

Does that mean it's now less controversial?

The Inheritance Cycle hmmmm....I'm not sure the rage has died down with that, even though it's in dire need of update. It's definitely still a cool-to-hate magnet. I would only unlock it tenatively if there were devoted curators.

I would like to request the unlocking of SandBox.Instant Death Bullet again.

This time to aide in clean up associated with the last TRS. Due to limits of the discussion section and the large amount of material that has to be moved around it is more practical to place the material on the sand box page. This can be linked in both the discussion page and for the Special Efforts thread that I am going to create to help clean up and sort through the examples.

There is a thread in Tech Wishlist for Disappearing Sandboxes where you can ask for restoration.

Sorry for the missing link, I am currently watching TV.

It is not cut just cleared and locked. But if I need to ask in that thread all the same I will go dig it up.

Hi. I'm re-namespacing all the pages that have been made for the Character Development Threads by putting them into their own namespace, CharacterDevelopmentThread/. Previously, they had been backwards, with namespaces like Heist/ for Character Heist and Cantina/ for Character Cantina, for instance, and Septimus Heap alerted us to fix that. I discovered that the proper page for Character Titanic, CharacterDevelopmentThread.Titanic, was locked.

So, yeah. That's the page that I need unlocked.

This technically is wearing a Goron tunic straitjacket, but Darth Vader The Eldritch Abomination. (For the record, it was cut for being The Same But More Specific to Ron the Death Eater.)

I don't think the page it self should be recreated, but what's wrong with resurrecting it as a redirect? Redirects Are Free, after all, and redirects, not the PRLC, are for page redundancy. That's what we did with tropes like Dead Baby Comedy.

EDIT: Also, IIRC, it was cut and locked before the autolocking system was first put in place, and thus, was assigned to the permanent red link club by default.

Redirect to what?

Ron the Death Eater.

It's a really bad title. Why would you make a redirect for something like that unless it's come into use enough that people would search for it?

It's just that calling a villain an example of Ron the Death Eater just doesn't sound right, mainly because Ron isn't evil, and secondly, Darth Vader The Eldritch Abomination is about exaggerated evil that already exists in canon rather than simply just a character who may or may not be evil being Demonized in fanon. It's not different enough to warrant a hard split by any means, but there's a very slight difference. I think it might warrant an Internal Subtrope.

But you bring up a good point, the name is a bit painful on the ears... or eyes... or whatever. However, it is easily remedied... how about "Boba Fett The Sith Lord"? That's consistent to characters and parties within a work, and rolls off both the tongue and fingers on the keyboard much more easily.

But this is really more of a discussion for the Trope Repair Shop which is

Isn't this just a form of Flanderization anyway?

Calling a hero in canon Darth Vader The Eldritch Abomination doesn't make much sense either and most of the examples were heroes in the canon.

Could a mod please do this for me quick? I've been holding onto the page content for a whole week and I'm getting tired of it.

Main.Garfield Specials is locked, which causes confusion to newer sight veiwers as to where to go for the "main page". It might be nice to unlock it

We've had several requests for Michael Cole to be unlocked in discussion. With things having settled down any chance it will be?

Do we know that it's settled down? The pro wrestling fanbase hasn't spontaneously gotten more mature the last time I looked.

If I may ask what would it take for you to accept the page can be unlocked?

X Japan to be remade about songs, not band rumors. Requested since they have more than enough songs and lives to qualify as this and other visual artists including Gackt have a subpage there.
