So, as a counterpoint to the other thread, this is where we talk about entries that we find incredibly amusing and intelligent. To start us out, I present the entirety of Real Life, which had me cracking up when I first read it.

Okay, so the Sleepaway Camp movies, or at least the first one, sound scary. But this entry from the main page...

I always get a chuckle and a smile from the entry that says Louie from The Princess And The Frog isn't a "Himself Moment". :)

The payoff to this entry on Casino Royale:

* Kung-Shui: The freerunner hops a fence, Bond hijacks a bulldozer. Freerunner flips through a narrow hole in a wall, Bond powers through the wall. Freerunner hops down several flights of unfinished stairs, Bond hops on a hydraulic lift and smashes the hydraulics. BOND SMASH!

Several entries on Cruel Twist Ending are rather amusing, particularly the ones that describe silly B-movies which added a random downer ending just for the sake of having one.

It's probably mean-spirited to laugh at this, but North Korea is one of my favorite pages on the wiki for its gold entries. For example:

Examples of a Deadly Euphemism

  • "Brief shortages": Years of Holodomor-level famine.
  • "Violating military discipline": We have nothing on you but you are going down anyway.
  • "Technical difficulties": Nothing works.

Examples of Blatant Lies

  • Their railway system is entirely electrified, apart from the bits that aren't. That is to say, all of it.
  • In 2010, the Norks claimed that Kim Jong-Il had set off a worldwide fashion trend with his "distinctive" clothing style. In case the lie isn't obvious, just ask yourself: how many people have you seen walking around in grey or khaki colored Mao suits with oversized sunglasses?
  • This incident is particularly egregious, considering two things. Firstly, the context in which this happened-South Korea discovered a tunnel leading under the border into their country from the north-leading North Korea to declare that the tunnel was absolutely not a route to invade South Korea and was totally a legitimate coal mine. Secondly, North Korea is a coal-producing nation, so not only should they know better than to think anybody at all would fall for this, but they had access to actual coal that they could have, at the very least, planted in the cave.

(after an entry details the American rescue of some North Korean sailors)

Not that 99% of North Korea's population even knew about that part. It was all because their Supreme Leader swam down there, and rescued the vessel Beowulf-style.

Plus the snark written near "Our Presidents Are Different"

Our Presidents Are Different: Kim Jong-Un, so very much. In fact, he's technically not even president; the actual title of (Eternal) President of the Republic belongs to Kim Il Sung, his grandfather. Who passed away in 1994. It is unknown how much respect he will command from the people if Korea can't start at least acknowledging that a person can't be a president and be dead at the same time.

And this only troper-written material that I laughed at, not all the trivia on that page about what's actually going on in North Korea. I'd have to list the whole page if I counted those.

The page for Haze also made me chuckle a few times, mostly because every single trope on the main page has a passive aggressive insult towards the game. Some highlights:

Doesn't Like Guns: The development team, seemingly; Doak went on record saying he disliked the image of gamers "knowing how to field strip an AK-47." This results in, among other things, a shotgun that looks like it was pieced together from copper pipes and melted lumps of plastic.

Elite Mooks: Mantel Black Ops, professional soldiers covertly used by Mantel to cover up their dirty deeds by eliminating any standard Red Shirt stormtroopers who get out of line (such as yourself). They're introduced by having a group fastrope down onto a cablecar you're riding, followed by, in all likelihood, at least half of them walking off the sides and falling to their deaths. Boosh?

Enemy Chatter: Do you remember your promise to Merino?! No, but we will bring Mantel to its knees!!

Metaphorgotten: Nectar is a metaphor for propaganda! Except later it's a metaphor for oil, and Shane talks about actual propaganda. So people fight wars so they can have more propaganda? There are two different kinds of propaganda, one of which is like oil and the other isn't?

Playing The Player: Unfortunately, it's given away on the back of the box. And in the manual. And if you wait more than ten seconds on the title screen. And by your fellow soldiers being evil. And in the trailers. And in numerous previews of the game.

Too Dumb to Live: In one mission, you throw grenades at Mantel artillery, damaging but not destroying it. The artillery pieces promptly continue to fire several times, bits of them flying off from the recoil of each shot, until they collapse and explode.

Verbal Tic: Duvall says "buddy" a lot, buddy.

From Beam Me Up, Scotty!:

  • Famous lines never said by Winston Churchill:
    • "Don't talk to me about naval tradition. The only traditions of the Royal Navy are rum, sodomy and the lash."; his personal secretary, Anthony Montague-Browne, said that although Churchill did not say this, he wished he had. (Note that the British Navy abolished the practice of flogging in 1948, and that rum rations were discontinued in 1970. The modern navy runs on sodomy, and sodomy alone.)

From Anachronism Stew

  • Samurai Shodown is a clearinghouse of this. The games are set in 1788-1811, yet Texas and San Francisco are part of the United States, Amakusa Shiro (1621-1638) and Hattori Hanzo (1542-1596) are both alive, Prussia is a feudal kingdom with castles, armored knights, and an Arthurian king, the White House has its modern appearance, and there are robots.
Jubei Yagyu (1607-1650), and the two principals and their stage are based on a legendary duel that happened in 1612. At least these are big names who could justifiably be put together in an "all-star" swordfighting game. Houston and San Francisco are a lot harder to justify, as there are plenty of colonial locations that would be suitable (Boston and Atlanta, for example).
  • One of the ninja characters is a blonde-haired blue-eyed American surfer from California. This does not gel with the stated year of the game in several respects.
  • One of the other characters marries Queen Victoria, who wasn't even born until 1819.
  • It would be easier to list the things that aren't anachronistic in Soul Calibur's version of the 16th century.
    • Let's see: there's no electricity or telephones, aaannnnd... we're done.

What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.

The Scunthorpe Problem page in general is a funny read, but this example (talking about Fark's autofiltering) made me literally chortle (emphasis mine):

While not profanity, the phrase "first post" is filtered to "boobies". This eventually lead to the word "boobiesulated". Similarly, "first comment" becomes "Weeners", and "last post" becomes "minimum post" (even on the profile page). The most well-known example within the site is when a "this day in history" post of "Benjamin Franklin became the first Postmaster General of the United States" was translated to "the boobiesmaster General of the United States".
