What about "Dichons", as in dichotomy?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Is a modern based setting. Is now just a mini continent who is the last place of the world (the rest of the world is less than dust now). Actually is a ok place to like but some Evil Overlord can turn it into a really bad place.
Dichons is good. But i had the idea of: Taolitiers (if they are named by the humans) Watch me destroying my country
Sancturia or Sanctum? Since the rest of the world is a mess, it's the last living sanctuary/sanctum of sorts...
Dichons sounds pretty good to me. Hmm...

...ehehDoes anyone know of a good Mongolian-to-English-and-vice-versa online dictionary? I need a Mongolian word that could be used to denote a state of rage-driven berserker-style frenzy; perhaps a word meaning "fury" or some other synonym for "anger". Compare the real-life term "musth", which is of Indian origin.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Hmm
On the translator, when I type in "anger", "rage", and "fury", I all get the same thing: уур хилэн (uur khilen)
...eheh... But that's two words.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. So? Languages are not meant to translate into each other, they do not have to obey each other's rules.

Nous restons ici.Except that it's a very simple concept (anger). You'd think you don't need more than a single word for it in any language. Now, naunced variations of said simple concept are a different ballpark.
Huh. Apparently it can translate to one word, namely "уур" or "уурлуулах"... However that is supposed to be pronounced.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus."уур" is apparently pronounced as "uur". "уурлуулах" is apparently the verb "anger" (to make someone angry)

...ehehWhat kind of man does "Keegan Drake" sound like?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. In a viking. A badass one.
Watch me destroying my countryA morally ambiguously business man.

British.
Nous restons ici.He is a British Army officer and quarter Norwegian, so perfect.
(He does get approached by a shady businessman as well. )
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Looking for a couple of "cop" names for a pair of British detectives - one is the slick, smooth-talking "good cop" of the duo while the other is the impulsive and aggressive "bad cop". Ideally, something with a Meaningful Name element to reflect their personalities. Having them only be referred by their last names alone would more than suffice as they're mainly side characters.
I've tried looking up British weapons from WWII for inspiration but nothing really clicked. Any nominations or suggestions? Thanks ahead.

From the sounds of it, it sounds kind of cliche in terms of cop partners. Depending on the tone you want to set, you can pick cliche-like names. I can suggest names like Raul and Butch if you want to go serious. Look up popular British names too.
I need a name for a protagonist who's forgotten his name and past due to a terrible catastrophe. He's a scavenger and loner, and was found out in the Siberian wasteland. He wears a balaclava that covers everything but his eyes.

Life is hard, that's why no one survives.Do you want the given-at-birth name, or the name he gives himself because he forget his given name, or both?
The latter can depend on the story. 'What's your name?' 'Er... *looks around, sees snow*... Snow. Yes, Snow.'
Or even name him after the color of his eyes, possibly justified by everyone else calling him based on his eye color.

So I'm looking for something to call a civilisation which is kind of a cross between the Time Lords and The Fair Folk. Any suggestions?

The Elder Kind, or maybe Wandering Watchmen? Not sure if that's the kind you need.
Rejoice!Depends on the balance between those two. But presumably like The Fair Folk themselves, it would be a mortal-given name meant to avoid offending them. "The Clever Clockmakers," perhaps?
I need a name for a Brazilian arms manufacturing conglomerate specializing in high-end, high-quality arms, personal armor, and vehicles for police, counter-insurgency forces, and cyberpunk-level "corporate security".
EDIT: Scratch it. I'm going with "Pereira-Merquior".

I need a name for a fictional USA-based news agency that operates across multiple media (i.e. it has its own TV and radio services, prints its own newspaper, has an online news service, etc.)note , and delivers news on a diverse variety of subjects, both domestic and foreign, with an emphasis on freedom of the media, willingness to present dissenting views, and humanitarian issues. Politically, it can be classified as "independent", "postpartisan", and/or "transpartisan" (though opponents would probably use much more negative terms). Alphabet News Network is acceptable, though not required, and if you go this way, please don't just offer a random combination of letters.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Nothing fancy but what about "Liberty News"?
That would've been perfect... if it were not already taken; see also here, which lists the "Liberty Media" and "Liberty Global" companies among others. That said, adding a qualifier before the name should solve the problem, and I don't see anyone using "Daily Liberty", "New Liberty", or "Global Liberty News".
Or maybe I should name it after the personification of America. "New Columbia Media" (a la New America Media) has a nice ring to it.
Hmm... "New Liberty Media" (NLM) or "New Columbia Media" (NCM)... Hard to choose.
Any other suggestions?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I'd say go with "New Liberty Media", it has a nice ring to it.
Rejoice!
"but with modern tecnology and society"
Wait, what kind of setting does the work take place in? Modern times or Fantasy? Is the continent a good or bad place to live in?
So anyway, I had an idea for a race of enemy aliens in a game. Their ability is very overpowered, yet they're easy to beat with the right strategy.
First things first- they're immune to any form of harm, except one (which will be shown below). Not even Reality Warping is able to hurt them at all. Not even the strongest Story-Breaker Power will harm them, nothing under No Saving Throw or Unblockable Attack works, and Anti-Magic and Power Nullifier does jack.
Secondly, these things are spawned in pairs within their home dimension. They cannot be spawned or created by any other means, not even Reality Warping or The Power of Creation is able to do so. It's also impossible to shapeshift or transform oneself or anything else into them.
So, how do one even beat them, you ask? Whenever each pair is spawned, they're spawned quite a bit of distance from each other. Each pair gets an opposing trait (said opposites are usually easy ones and found in kids' books). The ONLY way to beat these aliens is to bring both opposing ones together- once they reach a certain distance, they will attract each other, then cancel each other out in an explosion, dying in the process (they can't escape death once attraction happens). Thankfully, they do chase down the first non-alien they see, so it's easy to lure them to their opposite to destroy them.
Due to having adjectives, all of them have different traits. They otherwise look similar to each other unless their adjective makes them look different:
Now the problem. I've yet to find a name that fits this alien race. "Opposers" sounds pretty silly, I'd probably want the element of opposites to be more subtle.
