That's a HORRIBLE adaptation!

A surprisingly deep treatment for a videogame-based action movie, focusing on the theme that Kratos is his own worst enemy. However, many critics found the moments of crass physical humor mood-breaking, and everyone was confused by the ending. It strongly hints that the entire story is the fantasy of a four year old boy (named Kratos) who's having a temper tantrum because his big sister broke his favorite toys.

Eventually, the play gets derailed and they all stab each other.

The whole story is told via GIFs that have nothing to do with the story — it doesn't even have anything to with the series (instead, they have to do with Doctor Who, Sherlock, etc). There is lots of Ship Tease, with Mario / Daisy, Luigi / Peach, and even Mario / Toad. It is also packed to the brim with social justice things.

The Cheetahmen are all Ambiguously Gay and secretly want to abduct the Action Gamemaster into their clan. Dr. Morbis is incredibly sarcastic and eccentric this time. The Cheetahmen and the Action Gamemaster go time-travelling for some reason.

Sweeny Todd is armed with a laser razor that shoots beams of explosions, and the Phantom of The Opera can pùnch things into exploding. There's an explosion once per minute.

Valve Software's Daikatana.

After a few engine changes by the time of the handover, Valve overhauled the entire project and stuck with the same engine throughout, resulting in some years of development. Said overhaul paid off, as the final product is actually good, albeit still with some minor quirks with the AI allies.

Terrance and Philip: The Crime Drama

Terrence and Philip are two criminals on the run for farting explosive farts. They must use their wits to run from the mounties and the Québécois.

Christopher Nolan's Neon Genesis Evangelion.

It's a surprisingly fairly direct live-action adaption of the show as a movie trilogy. Evangelion fans like it, but everybody else is confused by it.

D.W. is kidnapped by ninjas! Arthur must trust on his friend's help and his sheer badass to take her back from the gang of Russian mercenaries led by... D.W. herself in a weird Ponzi scheme.

Sayonara Zetsuboi-sensei: The videogame by the creators of Deus Ex Human Revolution.

It's a somewhat faithful recreation of the original Deus Ex: HR, but fans only play it to hear a nanomachine-augmented Itoshiki-sensei complain about his life once every level: "I'm in despair! I never asked to be in despair!"

Yu Gioh as an actual children's card game.

The cards are designed with cute little monsters, and the game itself is much less complicated, being closer to Go Fish or Crazy Eights.

It is extremely campy and has lots of TWGTG related in-jokes. Focus is on lampooning the Persona series and analysis of movie tropes instead of psychoanalysis.

Cartoon Network: The Reboot by Richard Stallman.

Bump. Bump. Bump? Bump! Bump.

Due to Mr. Stallman's belief that the end user should have the right to use, study, modify and distribute cartoons, the existing cartoon studios refuse to work with him. Thus the new Cartoon Network has to rely on public domain cartoons and new works created by young hungry animators recruited off the Internet. The results are mixed, but continuing hassles with the RIAA and other industry groups sends Cartoon Network into bankruptcy.

Superman the cat video series.

The entire film is a young man and his grandmother picking up their cats and making "woosh" noises. The ilm itself is cute and funny, but it makes no money as its only viewing place is Youtube.

Neon Genesis Evangelion as a young adult's novel, written by John Green

It's done as a V Log and has lots of psychoanalysis and regularly attacks the viewers for not taking Shinji's, Asuka's and Rei's issues seriously, and shows how traumatised they all are.

Guys And Dolls, the Disney animated film.

Disney is unable to secure Frank Sinatra to play the part of animated Nathan Detroit, so they have to "settle" for Dean Martin, instead. Martin pulls off the role admirably, but audiences are quick to notice that the film was specifically animated to have Sinatra's likeness as Nathan, and they raise a stink.

The fanmade spinoff of the two works is not well recieved due to being somewhat unfaithful to both series' lore and canon. It ends up becoming a cult classic in a matter of months due to its errors.

It's faithful to the Disney film, but all of the actors are British. Adele notably plays Elsa in place of Idina Menzel.

Grand Theft Auto V made by Platinum Games.

The game effectively becomes Saint's Row, but with accurate period pieces inside an approximation of a real-world city. The playable characters are a James Bond-style supervillain, a Katana-wielding psychopath, Bayonetta, a Spider-Man expy, and an angry Taxi driver.
