From left to right: Bonnie, Freddy, Chica, and Foxy.
An... interesting take on the premise of Five Nights at Freddy's by Hotdiggetydemon. You may find the video here.

The Fazbear crew are all just hanging out at the restaurant when they realize they're under surveillance. They grow curious as to who's watching them and head to the security room, eager to greet him with friendly smiles. They finally confront Michael Schmidt, protagonist of the first game. Bonnie tries to say hello, but Mike is terrified, and for good reason. After Freddy chops a hole in the door with an ax, he opens it and attempts to befriend him once more... only to find out he got out of dodge. And so, they split up to find them, only for them all to be killed by Mike via shovel until Freddy remained. At this point, Freddy seems to be fed up with Mike, and attempts to fight him... only for 6:00 AM to roll around and they settle down to explain the situation. Freddy doesn't seem to care that he only thought he was a sentient bear, but was really a possessed animatronic, just as long as he gets to entertain the kids. Then they step into the back room, where it's revealed that Freddy thinks Mike is a naked endoskeleton, and sees fit to put him in a Fazbear suit.

Not to be confused with the animated series by ZAMination.

Fazbear and Friends provides examples of:

  • Adaptational Heroism: Freddy and his friends are not actually malicious here compared to the games. Or not, depending on how you interpret the ending.
  • Added Alliterative Appeal: This gem:
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: In addition to a new animation style, Max also gives Freddy and his friends new accessories.
    • Freddy has his signature top hat and bowtie, but in addition also wears a red waistcoat.
    • As part of his redesign into a lanky Goofy Expy, Bonnie wears overalls, a bowtie and White Gloves.
    • Chica gets her signature bib as well as a chef's hat. And pizzas for breasts.
    • Foxy wears a boot on his right foot, and a peg leg in place of his left leg.
  • Affectionate Parody: Not only of the original game, but also of your average Slasher Movie as well.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Just like in the original, this is what leads to Freddy thinking Mike is an endoskeleton, which also leads to Mike's demise.
  • American Accents: Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy are all given southern accents.
  • And I Must Scream: Bonnie is still alive when Mike mutilates him, and feels every single second of it.
  • Aside Glance: Foxy gets 2 somewhat silly ones: One when he refuses to eat the pizza Chica makes, and the other when he refuses to pay Mike a visit. (Ironic, since it's him who barrels down a hallway just to jumpscare you in the actual game.)
  • Battle Cry: Freddy initiates one when confronting Mike personally.
  • Big Bad: Mike Schmidt. While he's no Purple Guy, he manages to shut down three out of the four animatronics nearly effortlessly.
  • Covert Pervert: Foxy, who undoes Chica's bib (which looks more like a bra from the back) and flips out when he sees what lies underneath.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Foxy's lines usually involve him saying something sarcastic before turning to the camera. Twice.
  • Death by Adaptation: Mike doesn't fare too well in this version, presumably.
  • The Determinator: Freddy really wants to make friends with Mike.
  • Easily Forgiven: Chica forgives Mike for beating down Foxy and attempts to hug him... only to suffer the same fate. Also, Freddy after Mike dismantles all three of his friends, but then again, it was 6:00.
  • Expy: Bonnie is very clearly a parody of Goofy.
  • Gag Censor: invoked Chica's bare chest is censored by two miniature pizzas. However, according to Word of God, Chica literally has pizzas for breasts.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: Freddy brings Mike to a room full of replacement suits of himself before closing the door.
  • Gosh Dang It to Heck!: Compared to Max's other cartoons, there is NO foul language in this.
  • Grey-and-Gray Morality: The Animatronics want to befriend Mike, while Mike is scared for his life and defending himself. Possibly subverted by the ending, which implies that Freddy might have a more malicious side. Lampshaded by Chica, who tries to be sympathetic to Mike right before he kills her, commenting that she's sure that he's just acting out of fear and confusion.
  • Hell Is That Noise: Foxy using the classic "SCREEEEEEEEE!!!!!" and Lor Toreador playing when the lights go out.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: The whole reason why the crew went after Mike. Well, except Foxy.
  • Jerkass: Foxy comes off as a mild example, being the only one not interested in making friends with Mike, coming off as surly and disinterested in general and also being slightly sleazy towards Chica (who, admittedly, doesn't seem to mind).
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Seeing what Mike has done to Bonnie pisses off Fred, complete with his signature glowing face and leitmotif, to the point of dropping his usual friendly demeanor and confront the shovel-wielding maniac personally, arming himself with flaming cupcakes, and dropping a Pre Ass Kicking One Liner before the two start charging at each other. They get back on good terms immediately the following day, though.
  • Lighter and Softer: Compared to Max Gilardi's other animations, such as the PONY.MOV series and Luigi's Day Out. For one thing, the characters are much more sympathetic here than in the aforementioned videos. This is somewhat ironic considering that the video's source material is darker than that of PONY.MOV and Luigi's Day Out.
  • Ludicrous Gibs: Bonnie's demise has him in pieces, and Mike later pulls out Foxy's head when apologizing to Freddy, which implies that Foxy suffered the same fate.
  • Machine Blood: What remains of Bonnie is all leaking oil save for his head.
  • Mood Whiplash: The ending of this animation goes from a lighthearted take with a simple misunderstanding where nobody died... to exactly what happens to night guards in canon.
  • Mook Horror Show: Mike comes off as a slasher villain to the animatronics as he hunts them down one by one and bashes their heads in.
  • Non-Mammal Mammaries: Chica, which is what can set the viewers off in whichever direction.
  • Nothing Is Scarier: The very end of the short takes a turn from the funny to the unsettling. Is Mike really an endoskeleton? Is Freddy seeing him as an endoskeleton just as he sees himself as a friendly cartoon bear? There are no answers.
  • Nothing Personal: In the end, Freddy doesn't hold any sort of malice towards Mike even after the latter previously tried to bash his friends' heads in with a shovel, but nonetheless explains that endoskeletons (i.e Mike) are required to be put in Fazbear suits as per policy, before closing the back room door behind them.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Foxy's Aside Glances always involve him pulling Jim's trademark expression whenever the latter does the same in The Office (US).
    • Freddy breaking a hole through the security door with an axe before peeking through it. Sounds familiar?
  • Shovel Strike: How Mike dismantles 3 of the animatronics.
  • Something Else Also Rises: Foxy's eyepatch when he removes Chica's bib.
    Foxy: Weh-heh-hell, ahoy matey.
  • Surprisingly Creepy Moment: The ending goes from lighthearted to creepy, with Freddy ready to stuff Mike in an animatronic suit.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: The mascots genuinely see themselves and each other as lively, colorful cartoon Funny Animals with unique personalities rather than the creepy, Uncanny Valley robots Mike sees instead. As such, they cannot comprehend why the security guard would flee in terror even though they have no ill intent towards him, then dismantle them mercilessly with a shovel in return.
  • Wham Line: One from Freddy, which reveals that he might know even more about the situation than he lets on.
Freddy: It's Fazbear's Pizza Policy that all endoskeletons remain in costume at all time, as to not scare the kids. You're new here, so I know you didn't know, but we're gonna have to get you in one ASAP.
