A recap of chapters/episodes in the story The Return To Gravity Falls. Unless otherwise specified, each title makes up two chapters of the story, so the story is approximately twice as long as the number of titles here would lead you to believe.
Season 1
- Season One Prologue: Three years since the twins left Gravity Falls the first time, they go back to attend their Grunkle's funeral.
- Summer, Idle No More: When Stan's body disappears from his casket, the twins attempt to find out where it went.
- Familiarity: The twins discover a Doppelganger is walking around as Dipper's twelve-year-old self
- Old and New Faces: Mabel catches up with her old friends while Dipper tracks down a new enemy.
- A Mabel of Perspective: A meditation lesson goes awry when Mabel accidentally swallows a Pixie.
- Identity-exe not Found: After a fight with her brother, Mabel accidentally zaps Tambry with the glowing blue cylinders.
- Classic Rock: In order to impress a group of paranormal investigators, Stan sends the twins into the forest to bring back something paranormal.
- Birds of a Feather: The twins become friends with a brother and sister who are being hunted and who have secrets of their own.
- Strongholds and Serpents: Soos, Wendy, and the twins play a cursed game of Strongholds and Serpents.
- The New Circuit: After the twins accidentally zap several people with the glowing blue cylinders, the creators of the cylinders return.
- The Town That Time Forgot: The twins, along with their new friend Yuki, discover exactly what caused the glowing blue cylinders to be needed, and the three attempt to reverse the effects.
Season 2
- Season Two Prologue: Mabel's Paths master, Arline, is given an assignment from her master to go to Gravity Falls and protect the twins. Waddles returns!
- Totally Real Paranormal Mystery Show: The paranormal investigators return to the now Mystery Manor with a crew to film the premiere of their networks new paranormal investigation show.
- Bragging Rights: The twins compete in a Talent Show.
- American Werewolf In Oregon: Mabel turns into a werewolf.
- Mammoth Problems: A carnival comes to town, and Pacifica asks the twins to find a paranormal attraction for it.
- Duskhope: The twins meet a rock band and take the members on an investigation.
- The Warlock Returns: When a business convention comes to Gravity Falls, the Warlock makes his move.
- Fender Gender: After a fight with Mabel, Dipper discovers crystals that turn him into a girl.
- Ashes in the Sky: Jace and Jess return with their phoenix in tow, but when a storm causes the phoenix to crash, the twins have to help them rescue it before the townsfolk can hurt it.
- A Summerween Carol: A Christmas Carol parody.
- Summerween Returns: The twins' Summerween fun is put in jeopardy when Wendy's secret is revealed.
- Calm in the Storm: Following the events of the night before, Dipper tries to track down Wendy. Meanwhile, Mabel spies on Yuki and Pacifica while they are on their first date.
- Monster Politics: When the problems of the forest creatures come to a head, the twins attempt to find the culprit.
- Draconic Tendencies: Mabel helps Pacifica decorate the mansion for the 4th of July celebration, but the festivities are interrupted when Pacifica is kidnapped by a dragon.
- I Dream of Deals: A djinn comes to town offering cure-alls in exchange for a special possession.
- After the Shadows: Omir Steindorf asks the twins to help him track down the Warlock. A traitor is revealed.
- Operation Search and Destroy: The twins attempt to prevent the plot they discovered in the previous episode.
- Fires of Hate: Questions are answered, battles are fought, people get hurt... and worse.
- Cleansing Rain: Everyone attempts to deal with the aftermath of the previous episode.
- Broken Earth: Zander leaves town while the twins and Arline go in to fight.
- Winds of Change: The Portal is reactivated and changes the town forever.
- Halloween 2015 Extravaganza: Three stories- the first about Wendy and her secret, the second about a magic, shape-shifting belt, and the third about Yuki fighting a monster.
Season 3
- Season Three Prologue: The Guardsman sends the twins, Soos, and Wendy to find what is needed to undo the damages caused by the Portal. The Warlock takes over Omir Steindorf's company and gains his own apprentice.
- Daybreak: Mabel helps a boy vampire and a girl werewolf fall in love.
- The Parents Traps: The Warlock attacks the twins' parents.
- Home, Home on the Range: The survivors run into Bud Gleeful and attempt to prevent a herd of anthropomorphic Bison from destroying a small desert town.
- Warriors of Groom Lake: The survivors investigate Area 51.
- The Shadow of the Chupacabra: The survivors run into the paranormal investigators from the first season. Waddles is kidnapped by a chupacabra. Soos meets Kelly.note
- Bighair V Bigfoot: The twins defend a group of swamp creatures against Gideon in court.
- The Weary Path: The Warlock's forces track down the survivors. The Guardsman and his students come to protect them.
- Ye Olde Fair-Wells: The survivors attend a Renaissance Fair that is being haunted by a Knight.
- The Haunted Mansion: A mansion on a deserted island is haunted by almost 1000 ghosts.
- Spectral Revelations: The survivors take in a new member. Zander gets married.
- Summerween: The Beginning: The original Mystery Trio is haunted by a shadow creature.
- Fight or Flight: While investigating in Pittsburg, the survivors run into Jace and Jess, who are again being hunted.
- Soos-Less: Kelly shows Soos what life would be like had he not been involved how he was.
- The Devils Dude: The survivors go to New Jersey to track down a stash of Starkissed guarded by the infamous Jersey Devil.
- Montana Jeffreys and the Last Arc: With the Starkissed in their possession but inaccessible, the survivors head to Niagara University to get the help of the guest speaker, Montana Jeffreys.
- The Rising Grasp: The survivors unite with the Guardsman and his students, the time to complete their mission nearing. The Warlock offers an ultimatum.
- Tears of Corduroy: When the Guardsman does not return as promised, his students and the survivors must figure out how to move forward while Kelly offers someone the chance to change their past.
- Time Trouble: After going back to two thousand and nine, Blendin Blandin arrives to warn the survivors that any further tampering with the timeline could cause a temporal shift of what is to come, endangering the set future! Now the twins have to rescue Wendy from her enchantment before things get worse.
- Gaunter Haunter: Hoping to hamstring the recruitment efforts of the Rising Grasp, everyone sets out on a dangerous hike to the Warlock's new compound, deep in the heart of Yellowstone National Park. However, local legends may prove to be more threatening than the cultists he is creating.
- Possession is 9 10ths of Reality: Centuries of secrets are revealed as the survivors explore the Guardsman's mind.
