For Career Week for Ham and Judy, Ham works at MommaPoppa's Ristorante, an Italian restaurant, while Judy works the for newspaper The Lone Moose Wind, hoping to write her first scoop. While working, Ham discovers the restaurant owners, Momma Marita and Poppa Paul, prepare the food in an unsanitarized way and he's conflicted on what to do with this knowledge. Meanwhile, Bethany does her Career Week on Beef's boat hoping to fight pirates and Moon develops a crush on her.

Tropes:

  • Apathetic Citizens: Even after Judy and Ham expose Momma and Poppa's nasty food practice to Lone Moose in their local newspaper, the citizens, including Wolf, don't care that they're eating reused, rinsed noodles and continue to eat there.
  • Couch Gag: The boat in the opening is "Hangin' with Mr. Grouper".
  • Cutting Corners: Poppa saves money on pasta by rinsing and reusing uneaten noodles, including the ones from dishes collected in the bus tub, and he's been doing this since the beginning when they couldn't afford to buy more pasta.
  • Dance Sensation: The end credits song is about Noodie doing the dance called "The Noodie".
  • Destroy the Evidence: After Ham takes pictures of Momma and Poppa's food practice as evidence to expose them using his phone, Noodie takes his phone away and shows it to Momma and Poppa. After Ham refuses to keep Momma and Poppa's disgusting food practice a secret, Momma drops his phone in pasta sauce and Noodie throws him out of the restaurant. But unfortunately for them, Ham had already uploaded the photos into the Cloud and was able to print them out.
  • Faking Another Person's Illness: Poppa tries to convince Ham to not expose their food practice by claiming Momma is sick. When Ham doesn't believe him, he said Noodie is sick but Ham points out he can't just switch who's sick.
  • Gilligan Cut: After Judy and Ham expose Momma and Poppa's disgusting food practice in the local newspaper, Judy thinks Momma and Poppa have learnt their lesson and declares their restaurant will be shut down for a long time. Thirty-six hours later, their restaurant is opened up again.
  • Goofy Suit: Noodie, the mascot for MommaPoppa's. The guy wearing it never speaks nor takes it off, and menaces Ham several times. And it inexplicably has only one arm.
  • Karma Houdini: Even when Ham and Judy expose Momma and Poppa's disgusting food practice in the local newspaper, their restaurant remains open and people are still eating there.
  • Like a Son to Me: Momma and Poppa try to invoke this trope to manipulate Ham, to the point of guilt tripping him when they unveil the mold based on his dessert and start sobbing about "their son" betraying them. Ham finally tells them to cut the bullshit and exclaims he's not their son, at which point they stop sobbing, shove the display dessert into his hands, and tell him to get out.
  • Nightmare Sequence: Ham has a nightmare while he's taking a shower where spaghetti noodles are filling up his house and he tries to run away but Noodie stops him and he gets buried in noodles.
  • A Pirate 400 Years Too Late: Bethany comes to the Tobin's boat expecting to find pirates. To please Moon, who is infatuated with her, Wolf and Honeybee disguise themselves as pirates and board the boat to give Bethany a good show.
  • Precocious Crush: Moon develops a crush on Bethany and he's fully aware that she's too old for him but he said he'll ask her out when he's ready to date in 20-34 years.
  • Properly Paranoid: When the Tobins, Honeybee, and Jerry are eating at MommaPoppa's Ristorante, while everyone is eating the pasta, Honeybee can be seen not eating it. After Ham reveals the truth about their food to his family, Honeybee reveals didn't eat a single bite at the restaurant because she felt something was off when she saw Noodie the Noodle.
Honeybee: I have good people sense, and also good noodle people sense.
  • Pun-Based Title: The episode title is a pun off of the term "tasteful nudes".
  • Stating the Simple Solution: When Judy tells Ham they need evidence to expose MommaPoppa's, Judy plans on disguising herself as a storied princess from a faraway monarchy whose father has sent her to find the perfect restaurant to hold the coronation of his heir, but Ham points out he could just take some pictures with his phone.
  • Trash of the Titans: Momma and Poppa are both living in filthy conditions: Poppa's office has stacks of papers everywhere and he has large fish tanks along the walls, several of which are coated in algae and have dead fish floating in them while Momma's car is full of trash, there's a parrot cage inside with several parrots in it, and Ham discovers she keeps her salad starter inside a bag that was used to hold mice to be fed to snakes.
  • The Unreveal: We never get a chance to see who's wearing the Noodie costume. Not even Ham knows who's in the costume since he mentions that the person wearing it never even took it off when he's off work.

♫ Hey, there, kids and hey, there, parents
Hey, there, guy alone named Terrance
This is fun for all, not just the foodies
It's a little dance we like to call the Noodie
The Noodie
Stand tall like a tube with your legs and feet
And wave your one little arm to this funky beat
Now spin around and shake it loose
You're the funniest noodle in all of Lone Moose
Rinse off your body, wash off that sauce
Swivel your hips like you're the boss
If you're wearing a frown and you're feelin' moody
Just cheer yourself up by doin' the Noodie
Cheer yourself up by doing the Noodie. ♫

Pasta Rinsing

Poppa saves money on pasta by rinsing and reusing uneaten noodles, including the ones from dishes collected in the bus tub, and he's been doing this since the beginning when they first couldn't afford it at the time.

How well does it match the trope?
