Fantasy High

• Right in episode 1, Riz' mother, upon realizing that they don't have enough milk, giving her son the milk from her cereal bowl and reluctantly advises him about investigating a kidnapping.
• In episode 3, Riz and his mom rendezvous in the parking lot after Riz snuck into and out of a crime scene. She calls him reckless since, even if Doreen was right about the faculty, that would mean Riz was alone in a room with one, potentially two adult criminals. She says she'd rather have Riz safe than the case cracked.
  • As they're leaving school, Fig and her mother form the smallest of connections as Fig's near death experience meant she knew about her father riding a motorcycle. Calling it pretty metal, and allowing them to leave with some form of proper understanding and care. Perhaps the happiest of the student/parent combos at the end of their bad first day.
• The thoughtful presents the Bad Kids find in their lockers in episode 9, like Riz getting a new suitcase and business cards with his initials, a book about different religions for Kristen, an axe holder for Gorguk, car wax for the Hangman for Fabian...
• When visiting Biz in the hospital in episode 9, Riz and Fig both reassure the pixie that he did his best, causing Biz to cry with emotion.
• Gorgug gives Ragh his first kiss at prom, after Ragh has spent the whole season agonising over his sexuality. It comes on the heels of Ragh being queerbashed by Dayne, with whom Ragh was genuinely in love, after Ragh admitted his feelings to Dayne. Ragh is at his lowest point and convinced that nobody will ever accept and love him, when Gorgug proves him wrong.
  Ragh: Nobody's ever...I'm just an idiot, and I'm ugly...nobody's ever gonna like m-
  Gorgug: [kisses him]
  Ragh: [sniffles] Wow, I got kissed at prom...
• The above moment causes Ragh to accept his sexuality completely, turning him against Kalvaxus and making him an ally of the Bad Kids. It gets even better when you know that Gorgug is canonically bisexual, so the kiss was intentional, not manipulative on Gorgug's part.
  Ragh: I'M GAY NOW!
  Dungeon Master: He feels more himself...he is filled with a sense of belonging and centredness. "Fuckin' OUT, BITCH!" and leaps through the air at Goldenhoard...
  Lou: What an arc. What an incredible arc.
• Jawbone running up to Adaine during her panic attack amidst the final battle. He tells her that her mental illness is not a character flaw and she's just sick, before giving her anti-anxiety medicine to help her feel better. The moment is so powerful that Siobhan tears up a little bit. The best part? Adaine's next roll cures her of her fear and she is able to re-enter the fight. Jawbone helped Adaine conquer her fears, even for a moment!
  Jawbone: Jesus Christ, is this some kind of...dragonfear, here? Wait a minute. Adaine, look at me straight. Tell me, honestly now. Do you have panic attacks a lot? Do you, like, feel your breath kind of catch up in your...?
  Adaine: [nods, tearfully]
  Jawbone: Yeah? your parents give you anything for that?
  Adaine: [crying] My parents just left, and I don't know where they are.
  Dungeon Master: You see, he gives you a big, warm, furry hug.
  Jawbone: Listen to me, all right? You listen to me right here. Having panic attacks, that is not a character flaw, do you understand? You are not a coward. You have a goddamn medical condition, all right? [...] You're not a coward! Adaine, you're sick! You just need medicine! You gotta come and talk to me, this is my job, goddamnit!
• The Void reassuring Kristen about her existential fears, her crisis of faith, and most importantly, that it's okay for her to be gay, and that God will not punish her for it. This is mostly not played for laughs. It really showcases both how good of an improviser Brennan is and, more importantly, how great of a storyteller he is.
  The Void: You've been asking a question for quite some time. Would you like to ask it here? [Kristen nods.] What is your question?
  Kristen: Why...and who?
  Void: "Who" is easy. It is us, everything, and you. "Why" is harder. "Why" is something that only you can decide. The universe doesn't have a "why."
  Kristen: Okay. Cool. Can I have sex with whoever I want?
  Void: From the smallest atom of creation to the greatest stars in the sky, spinning galaxies and particles so small that they are beyond imagination, none of that gives a shit about who you fuck - as long as you're fucking people who are into it.
  Kristen: Cool. This is all great news.
  Void: The first rule of existence is as above, so below. People are fractal images of the universe. You are, as we are. Bad things happen to good people because things happen all the time, and it is up to people to determine whether they are bad or good. In the same way that your heart feels and your mind thinks, you, mortal beings, are the instrument by which the universe cares.
  Kristen: Cool.
  Void: If you choose to care, then the universe cares. And if you don't, then it doesn't.
• After all of Riz's horrible rolls throughout the climactic battle, he's the one to land the killing blow on Kalvaxus, repaying him for the kidnapping of his babysitter and the death of his father.
  • For bonus points, his mother had previously lamented the bad rap Goblins had, as they were too silly and too monstrous for others to take seriously, amounting to Cannon Fodder at best when evil, and a Joke Character when good. By landing the killing blow, Riz proved exactly what Goblins are capable of.
• Crossing over with Funny, Gorgug finally finds his actual dad - and by rolling a natural 20 at that.
• After a season of being the perpetual Butt-Monkey, even Gilear manages to get thrown a bone, being appointed vice-principal of Aguefort (at Fig's request) and drawing the attention of Hallariel.
  Fabian: Ma-ma, I will kill this man.
  Hallariel: I'll kill you first, it's not up to you.

Escape From the Bloodkeep

• Lilith's interactions with her spider children.
• When Leiland is fighting Galfast she clocks him one with her frying pan and spins his helmet around. Markus then comes from behind and takes her down but gives Leiland the credit without Leiland being aware of who actually did it.
• Maggie basically adopts John Feathers as a Morality Pet, taking him shopping and magically healing him when he coaches her through childbirth even though she has no powers of her own.
• Maggie naming her child after Leiland, who up until that point had been beating himself up for his failures (both actual and perceived.)
• Episode 5 as a whole where the group becomes a true team, and decides to redefine evil by working together and supporting one another against all odds. This causes Brennan's plan for the campaign to go Off the Rails since he'd intended for the final battle to be PvP with them to all turning against each other to become the new Lord of Shadows. Instead they all unanimously rally behind making Maggie's child as the new ruler, which meant Brennan had to rethink his entire endgame.

The Unsleeping City

• The friendship between Kugrash and Sofia. You wouldn't expect a giant rat man and a depressed divorcee to be drinking buddies, but after Kugrash inducts Sofia into the Unsleeping City, they become insepparable. Sofia is even perfectly fine with Kugrash sleeping at her house when he offers, since he doesn't want her to be alone.
• While talking to Santa Claus, Ricky is adamant that he never once stopped believing in him. Even Santa is surprised at this, since he is perfectly used to everyone else losing their belief in him as they grow up.
• Wally. Just...Wally. There isn't a single interaction the man has with anybody that doesn't count as a heartwarming moment.
• The three John's are just some of the most wholesome dude bro's you'll ever meet.
• David is a real ball-buster, but the letters he wrote prove that even if he hated his dad, he still missed Kugrash not being in his life, and even though he doesn't know if things will ever be fine between them he's heard from Wally everything his dad has done since his change and respects the steps he's taken and taking to redeem himself.
• When Kugrash uses the single-shot remove curse to free Esther and her family from the curse of the Furies. Esther breaks down, as she's allowed to cry for the first time in her life, weeping tears of happiness while hugging her freed mother for the first time in decades.
• The American Dream, in the middle of battle, seeing his chances of victory becoming slimmer, takes every of our heroes apart from the group with his magic, and offers them their greatest dreams, at the expanse of standing down. With the knowledge that this would mean the death of everyone but Robert Moses' dream, they all refuse.
  • Ricky sees before him a sweet, happy life with Esther, and the family they could found together. However, Ricky points out that doing so would only make his dream possible, and decides to continue fighting.
  • The American Dream shows Sofia a life with Dale back in her life, and tells her it could revive him. She fully shuts it down with the reasoning that she was already sent to Heaven and just got back from fucking Dale, and thus it's not worth sparing it.
  • Kugrash sees himself as a human, healthy, living comfortably, and with the family he abandoned reunited and happy. When the American Dream makes its offer, Kugrash remarks that he used to be a lot like it, and even changes his face for a moment by calling him a rat. He also remarks that it's his fault that he can't have what the Dream is offering him, but that dreams change, right before eating the Bagel of Everything.
  • As she is offered a life with boundless opportunities and no fear, Misty, in a beautiful elocution, calls the American Dream her only true love, and assures it that it doesn't need to physically manifest, because it is already real in the hearts of everyone who believes in it. It was so touching and powerful that Brennan decided to half his final boss' hitpoints.
    Misty: My love, for you are my love. My one true love. You don't need to enter, you're already there. And you don't need to be real, because you already are real.
  • When presented with his dream of a happy family with Liz and a child of his own, Kingston answers to it first with an Armor-Piercing Question, much like Ricky, and asks at what cost does his dream comes to light. After the American Dream dodges the question, he politely refuses, saying that he's lived a long life and made his peace, and so he will stop it.
  • Pete, having seen everyone's interaction with the American Dream, uses his Dream sorcery to see what the true form of the American Dream is. Thanks to a nat 20 on Ally's part, he sees the truth at the centre of dreams' nature: the ever-changing, ephemeral nature of dreams is not a flaw, but a strength. It represents people's free will, their evolution, and the nature of life as constant change.
• Ricky quits being a firefighter and starts a homeless outreach program, giving food to the homeless in honour of Kugrash.

Dimension 20 Live - Fantasy High: Sophomore Year

• Siobhan's little "Squee" as the immense cuteness that is Boggy the Froggy is manifested.
• Before setting off on their adventure, Kristen asks to swing by the Applebees' family home, and gets Adaine to Mage Hand some gold into her little brothers' room.
• Fabian suffers a Heroic BSoD after losing really badly to his father's arch-rival and seemingly killing the Hangman. Cathilda soothes him with some words of advice:
  Cathilda: There is no pirate who can see the horizon in a squall. That doesn't mean it's not there.
• Cathilda gives Fabian another pep talk after she hears him explain the situation to his friends.
  Cathilda: You are worthy of love, no matter what it is that you do in this world, and there are those that love you.
• When Adaine agrees to go with the Fallinel elves to save her friends, she gets off a use of sending to Ayda asking her to take her place in the battle and that her friends are in trouble. Ayda’s response is only 5 words.

“Your friends are my friends.”

• The Abernant sisters' reunion involves Adaine finally acknowledging that both she and Aelwyn were abused by their parents, and outright stating that her sister, for all her faults, did not deserve the Cold-Blooded Torture inflicted on her by the political class of Fallinel.
• Kristen and Adaine telling Ayda not to hate herself for what her previous self did and give herself a chance. They propose the goal of just trying to be a bit better than your parents, or in Ayda's case, her previous iteration (not so difficult with Kristen and Adaine's parents, much harder for Gorgug).
• As the Bad Kids proceed through the Forest of the Nightmare King under the influence of duskmoss, Gorgug is forced to crawl through a claustrophobically narrow burrow, filled with crawling insects and with many tight spots that lead him to think he might get stuck and unable to escape; thanks to a high roll, however, he persists and presses on in the direction of his fear and exits the tunnel in a dungeon. Noting that he has made progress, he takes a stone and uses his recently acquired artificer abilities to magically imbue the stone with a six second message: "It's Gorgug. Keep going.", and drops it. As he does this, the other Bad Kids (sans Kristen) who are also facing their nightmares within the forest are given a moment's reprieve to focus.
• Aelwyn finally using her powers to protect her little sister from their abusive father.
• Ayda’s reunion with her father, Arthur, and her adoptive parent, Garthy- Arthur is prepared if she doe want to see him and doesn’t push but presents her with a gift that will help her have an easier time getting to her new friends (and paramour)- a key that will unlock a door in her library that will take her directly to Mordred Manor, specifically to the landing outside Fig’s bedroom; Garthy, while the two are talking to reestablish their relationship for the first time in several hundred years, expresses their affection for Ayda and their gratitude to the Bad Kids for their bringing her home safe and befriending her- you see, they worry about her a lot as their daughter… and the reincarnation of their adoptive mother.
• Everything about Jawbone in the epilogue: He forgives Sandralynn for cheating on him, helps Ayda learn about her autism and finally realise she's not weird, just different, and most heartwarmingly, gives Adaine adoption papers so he can officially become her legal guardian, an offer she tearfully accepts, before going to the hardware store to buy lumber so he can personally build bunk beds for Adaine and Aelwyn, who has been welcomed into the home with open arms.

A Crown of Candy

• When Emily and Siobhan decide to make twin characters for the campaign, both of them wear nail polish corresponding to their character's flavor of candy (black for Emily's black licorice character, Jet, and red for Siobhan's red licorice character, Ruby).

Misfits and Magic

• There's something very heartwarming about the way the four exchange students instantly take to each other and agree to stick together. As Jammer points out, they're all the only people who they can really relate to, having been thrown into an entirely new life with no warning, and he immediately promises to have the others' backs. The others agree, and navigate the magical world together, helping each other get their bearings and adjust.
• Erika, a Harry Potter fan, squeeing super hard when they receive their wand for the first time, and struggling to stay in character as Dream, a more apathetic goth girl.
• After his dark powers flare up in front of the others for the first time, Evan timidly apologizes and says he understands if they don't want to hang around him too much. Without so much as a moment of hesitation, the others assure him that they're still his friends and aren't afraid of him.
• Evan considers to be the first day he spent with the other three to be the best day of his life... which is then topped by the day they all got sorted into Chimeron. Also a Tear Jerker.
• A fellow Chimeron student, upon realizing the exchange students have no idea what to do in potions class, leaves her table and introduces herself before lending a helping hand. No ulterior motives, no snide comments at their expense, just a genuinely nice girl wanting to steer the new kids in the right direction.
• When their potion comes out perfectly and the teacher expresses astonishment, the gang all immediately say it was mostly Jammer who did it (since Lou got an absurdly high roll), who in turn credits Dream. They also make sure to acknowledge the other student who helped them out.
• The exchange students make their first friend from outside their own house, a Southeast Asian girl in Hercinil who explains that she changed her name because no one at Gowpenny could be bothered to learn to say it. She expresses disdain for the more "wizardly" name she goes by at school, and they all commiserate over how conformist Gowpenny culture is. The gang asks what they'd like them to call her, and, upon seeing they're sincere, she smiles and tells them to call her by her real name: Khanh.
• Evan and Dream giving one another a mutual You Are Better Than You Think You Are.
• Nurse Stichnit is one of the few wizards to have really spent time in the non-magical world. Why? His daughter Maddy is trans, and he wanted to get her puberty blockers to allow her to transition. While there, he saw the beauty and ingenuity of the non-magical world, as well as all the needless suffering that happens there that the wizarding world could help fix. Because of this, he and Dr. Boodle were the biggest advocates for the exchange program.
• Evan's speech to Stichnit about his friends when the latter tries to talk him out of having his magic removed, which drifts into Tear Jerker territory at the end.
  Stitchnit: It seems like you've got some good friends.
  Evan: The best. They're the best friends. I watched Sam grow this tree out of her wand, and it was, like... effortless and beautiful. And I heard Dream sing with this voice that she's, like, so self-conscious about and it was beautiful, it was the most beautiful voice I ever heard. And I watched Jammer look at his wand and see all the cool things he could do in his life stretch out ahead of him. So I know I have the best friends. I know I have the best friends. Nothing I'm ever gonna do is worth endangering any of that. I'm good.
• Why does Evan finally give into his powers? To save Dream's life.
• Dream and Evan finally having The Big Damn Kiss after Sam successfully sends away the monsters.
• After Dream's victory in the tournament, she's hoisted up on people's shoulders as they cheer for her, and she takes the opportunity to announce that she wants to be called K, and has also decided to start experimenting with they/them pronouns. Evan's response is to joyously yell "GIVE IT UP FOR THEM!", and he later calls K his girlfriend, then stops himself and asks if "girlfriend" or "partner" would be more appropriate. Everyone else also effortlessly transitions to calling K by their new name. Nothing but support in the Goat House!
• Jammer willingly taking on painful necrotic magic to save the life of Alexis, a wyrm he just met and learned the name of, simply because it's the right thing to do. He's even willing to forfeit the contest if it means saving her life. Instead of screaming in pain, he simply gives Alexis a pep talk to get her through it, and as a result she survives the ordeal.
• Holiday Special: After the Lulling, most of the Pilot Program complains about how lame the ceremony was... until Evan starts holding back tears. This was his first holiday where he wasn't alone. The others immediately resolve to make this as good a holiday as they can for him.

The Seven

• Corsica's pep talk to Antiope as she thinks about whether to stay in or out of the Seven.
  Corsica: Ajax is stronger than most giants. Ulysses is quicker on the draw than almost any elven archer I've ever seen. Prospero's better at magic than most wizards, and he's a fighter. And none of us have ever done the actual hardest thing there is to do, which is disappoint Mom and Dad. Thinking about it makes me sweat. [...] If you do something because I say it's a good idea, you'll probably be operating from the place that me and Ajax and Prospero and Ulysses go from. We're incredible warriors, but we want to be part of the team. And ultimately, we're soldiers. We like having the shots called, and we execute, and we get it done. Those kids walked out of the room when you told them to. I've never stepped out of line. Maybe for you, it's not about stepping out of line or stepping into line. Maybe you're supposed to be the one calling the line to attention.

A Starstruck Odyssey

• At the start of the playthrough, Brennan is sure to mention that this series is played in the world of a published author's series. More specifically, a series created by his mom. This series is brought to us by a collaboration between a Mom and her son.
• Norm is furious at the entire crew of the Red Hot... except Margaret, who he genuinely thanks for helping out even though she doesn't have to.
• Skip was previously so unhappy with his life that he actually welcomed being shot into the void of space unprotected. Joining the Wurst gives him a new purpose and, it is implied, the first real friendships he's had in a long time, which he expresses with the understated, "You guys are fun." Once the crew all get on the same page about knowing he's not Norm (and that he won't take over the rest of them), they welcome him officially and Margaret gives him a big hug.
  • Skip communicates with Norm a couple times Regretful at essentially stealing Norm's "Squandered" life. In the Finale after helping Norman get revenge on the man who took advantage of Norman the two have a heart to heart and Norman willing accepts Skip back. Then Skip finds out that while his clan treated hosts as disposable, there are other clans of Brain Slugs that have a Symbiotic relationship with their host.
• Barry's investigation of the Barry Battalion massacre actually ends up oddly heartwarming—he both assuages his nagging subconscious fear that the Battalion was in some way secretly corrupt and the murders were because of that, learning definitively that that isn't the case, and discovers that Barry Nyne isn't a traitor after all but the victim of a brain slug.
  • The climax doubles as a moment of awesome. After Barry Nyne is freed from the slug's control and talked down from his confusion by Barry Syx, the last two Barrys are finally reunited and they Go Into The Zone in unison for the first time in a long time.

A Court of Fey and Flowers

• In "The Great Hart Hunt", Andhera excuses himself from Chirp's company to speak with Advisor where they won't be heard. After casting a Darkness spell to hide them both, his anxieties get the better of him and he descends into a nervous breakdown. Andhera confesses to Advisor just how badly he feels like he's screwing up his attempts to be diplomatic and suave to impress the other Archfey at the Bloom, that his past as 'Pillar Boy' still haunts him, and voicing his feelings of failure as a representative of his Court. Advisor listens patiently, and soothes him in the best way their kin know how: a hug, the most comforting gesture a people who live in underground darkness can give to one another, held for as long as Andhera needs. He proceeds to assure Andhera that he sees and acknowledges just how much work he's done, and to continue on.
• Squak’s reaction to the knowledge that Chirp has a daughter and a partner on the mortal plane (aside from the shock immediately after the revelation) is near-instant support for Chirp’s relationship and plans to bring his “niece” her favorite alcohol and drugs so they can party together. Chirp’s daughter is four years old.
  Chirp: I love the impulse to give her presents, but maybe the drugs can wait until she’s older, okay?
• The relationship between Andhera and Gywndolin Thistlehop/BINX Choppley. After their initial team up during the Great Hart Hunt to make a shrine, the two become fast friends. When BINX has reveals herself in the Hedge Maze, it only takes Andhera one look in their eyes to work out who she is.
  Andhera:…Gwyn?
  • BINX braves Grandpa Dog to gift Andhera with a black apple, and work with him to create his ideal outfit for the masked ball, encouraging him to accept a proper stalagmite crown rather than settling for a lesser headpiece. Later they’re seen sharing one with him at the Masquerade, which is revealed to be a fruit containing memories of a family (implied to be the Court of Craft) sharing a happy evening by a fire.
  Andhera Before this, whenever I felt happiness, it was like sparks from a flint. This? This is a fire.
• In the finale, Rue and Hob finally cement their budding relationship, and the words Hob uses to devote himself tug at the heartstrings.
  Hob: You said that you felt alone. Never here. Not while I draw breath. I renounce the goblin court in its entirety, and forswear all oaths of loyalty to king and kin. If you are orphaned, then so am I. And you will never know a lonely day again, as long as I draw breath.

Neverafter

• While the other duos introduced are traveling together due to coincidence (Rosamund and Gerard) or survival (Pinocchio and Puss in Boots), Timothy seems to have taken Ylfa in as a near-family member. Emily mentions that after Ylfa blew her family away, Timothy was the only person she could think of to go to, and he never treats her as anything but a child, to the point of trying to protect her when it's clear to everyone that she's the one protecting him.
  • Despite Pinocchio's tendency to lie and drag the group into more trouble, Timothy Goose still believes he is a good child.
• Rosamund and Gerard bond over their ideas or experience with love.
• Even though Pinocchio lies on the regular, the reason he was cursed to be a puppet was lying about his father's name. He chooses to lie when he realizes that saying his father's name would lead to his death, such as the other children's parents likely dying off screen when confirming their names.
• Even though he at first jokes to the other tricksters that Tomas is a "stupid idiot" and he only made him king because it was funny, Pib bristles and immediately steps in to prevent the fox from snacking on his body when it appears, showing that he does actually care.
  Fox: He's already dead.
  Pib: You wanna join him?
• At first Gerard is pleased to hear the Blue Fairy/Turquina say that she's going to help him fix things. But then she segues into trying to manipulate him by saying that his return to frog form is Elody's fault and Elody needs to be "fixed", and he absolutely refuses to buy into that line of thinking. (Later in the same conversation, he lies to her about Mother Goose's book even though he initially seemed to trust her, and in the next episode he describes her as "dodgy", suggesting he doesn't trust her because she slagged off his wife.)
• While the group is walking down a path in a severe storm, Pib is asked to make a constitution-saving throw. He fails it, and is left shivering in the cold of the rain and risks getting sick. Mother Goose notices and bundles Pib up in his scarf to keep him warm. This act of genuine kindness strikes Pib so much he tells Mother Goose that he's his best friend, and out-of-universe Zac does not receive the red token he was going to for the failed save.
• When Pinocchio is depressed, Mother Goose tries to encourage him by reminding him of Senator, the ram he had grown attached to. Pinocchio bitterly responds that Senator was in a previous version of the Neverafter, and doesn't exist here. In return, Mother Goose takes out his book and finds the story of the old Neverafter, using his magic to briefly summon Senator out of the story. The sheer joy in Pinocchio's voice when he sees the ram he cared so much about again if deeply heartwarming.
• During Red's conversation with her Grandmother in Episode 4, she bemoans how difficult it has been to make friends while being in her current 'wolfy' state. Grandmother's response is perhaps the most profound Dimension 20 line to date.
  Grandmother: The real friends, the ones that make miracles happen, the ones greater than any treasure you could find on any adventure. They see the wolf in you and love it too.
• After Miss Muffet is retuned to a semi-normal state, the party spends some time in episode 7 cleaning up the remnants of her monstrous rampage. Despite all of the nonsense that ensues, it's a very touching gesture.
  • Mother Goose comforts Miss Muffet, giving her a gentle pep talk while reassuring her that her actions weren't borne from malice.
  • Thanks to a suggestion spell from Pinocchio, the mayor manages to dissuade the town from going on a witch-hunt for Miss Muffet, rousing them into a celebration of their survival instead.
  • As the party carries on, Gerard pulls Ylfa to the side and reassures her that she isn't as monstrous as she thinks she is. Gerard even opens up about his relationship with Elody, which is a major step forward from where he had been in episode 1.
• In a bittersweet way, Pinnochio and Ylfa having a snowball fight and making snow angels while the party is in Snowhold. Despite the Crapsack World they live in, its sweet to see the kids getting to be kids.
• While traveling between books, the group end up seeing all but two of each other's origins, and during these memories voice their unwavering support for the one in the memory no matter what they had to do in them. Notably, they insist to Pinocchio that he was right to lie about his father's name even though Gepetto himself yelled at him for it, affirm that Ylfa is not evil for eating the wolf when it was her only choice and what she was commanded to do, and sympathize with Gerard's plight as a frog and the brutality of nature he witnessed.
• When Henry Hubbard returns, in contrast to Gerard and Elody's reunion, he and Timothy are overjoyed to be reunited and don't share a single mean word.
  • Timothy asks if Henry remembers Ylfa and Henry responds positively and calls her Sweet Ylfa. When Ylfa describes herself as "the one who overstayed her welcome after storytime" both jump to assure that she didn't and that they love having her around, especially post-Jack.
• When everyone goes on to do their chores of Baba Yaga, so that she will take them to the Pages Between, Ylfa meets her grandmother when she was a child. This crosses into Tear Jerker category as what follows is one of the sweetest and saddest interactions in all of Dimensions 20. Ylfa imparts the wisdom she's learned to her grandmother and gets to spend some time walking and talking with her. Only to end with Ylfa giving her grandmother one last hug goodbye before she gives up her memories to Baba Yaga.
  • What doesn't help is that Emily is full-on crying during this final interaction making it that much more impactful.
• In the midst of her fight with La Bete, Ylfa has a successful strength saving throw due to Timothy using Cutting Words, reminding Ylfa of the times she and Timothy spent together and how he took care of her. This leads to the following declaration from Ylfa which is part Badass Boast and part Platonic Declaration of Love

Ylfa: I'm the Big Bad Wolf and I fucking love Timothy Goose

• After the final battle, Pib not only steals back everything his friends traded to the Baba Yaga, but also tells the Baba Yaga what he did, knowing that she values honesty. In turn, the witch is delighted; her stories always end with her being tricked by someone clever, and Pib's stories always end with him stealing for his friends' sakes. Neither of them change, and she's happy that they never will.
• Gerard gives Elodie the Sword Of Truth, to take on whatever new adventures she plans to go on, and Elodie tells him that she truly loves him. Even though they divorce, they remain friends.
• Pinocchio forgives the Stepmother for what she did, recognizing that she was as much a victim of the Authors as any of Destiny's Children were, and he offers her whisky and bubblegum.
• In the new world created by successfully freeing the Neverafter, now renamed Happily, Cinderella and her stepfamily have a close, loving, healthy relationship. Minerva even praises how well her stepdaughter has done to Pib, and Cinderella wants to help her stepsisters find marriages.
• Even with all of the changes made to everyone's stories, Destiny's Children still remain close to each other.

The Ravening War

• During the timeskip after the assassination of Queen Pamelia Rocks, Colin Provolone makes a point of tracking down the family of the banana man witness that he killed and giving them a sack full of money.
• During the final battle, Raphaniel jumps into the heart of the Mycelium carrying a shard of the Bulb's light, believing this means that he's sacrificing himself. Before he does, he apologizes to Amangeaux for how his meddling affected her life and says he is genuinely happy that she was able to find joy and gives his last Bardic Inspiration to Karna, along with a telepathic message saying how proud he is of her.
• Throughout the confrontation with the Avatar of Deus'Pazuul, the party members capable of casting the spell Silvery Barbs^note a spell that inflicts disadvantage on a roll and allows the caster to give themself or an ally advantage on a future roll use it repeatedly to keep each other safe:
  • Karna inflicts disadvantage on an attack roll against Deli while yelling at him to run to safety
  • Karna uses the spell again, using her last spell slot, and sends the advantage to Raphaniel, while relaying how much she valued his mentorship and that he was the closest thing she had to father figure
    Aabria: And I send along with every moment we've interacted since back when she was 12 and 13 pretending to be Ja'Cru, and you were an informant of hers, and all the weird desire for a paternal figure, and every time you've looked out for her, and that comes along with it in that last bit of advantage.
  • Amangeaux tries to use the spell to keep an attack against Karna from hitting (doubles as a Tear Jerker, as she does not succeed and the blow kills Karna).

Dungeons and Drag Queens

• The entire ending: Troyann and Princess get their dead loved ones back, and Twyla and Gertrude use their wishes to bring back the Fairy Realms and free Thanara from her Goddess curse binding her to rule the Underworld. Thanara herself is taken aback, and out of character, Brennan himself gets emotional.
• At first, when Twyla proposes planting the Seed of the Allblossom in the Underworld to release Thanara and bring back the Fairy Realms, Thanara points out that there is nowhere to plant it that would give it the living energy the seed would need to bloom. But it turns out there is one - Buddy Bear: Twyla's beloved Cat Tree familiar. Having the Seed of the Allblossom planted into it, Buddy Bear is immortalized as the source of power for the Underworld, transforming it from a gloomy, decrepit hellscape to a paradise for the dead to rest.
  • The entire sequence brings Jujubee to tears, and the Adventuring Party reveals why: Buddy Bear was based on Jujubee's recently deceased cat, and she'd planned to memorialize them through planting a grove of trees for them.

Mentopolis

• Even when downtrodden and alone on the streets of Mentopolis, Conrad always has his faithful dog, Justin by his side. They’re each others’ best friend.
• While helping Hunch break into the evidence lockers of the police, the Fix speaks to the woman in charge, Pasha N., Elias' passion that has now been placed at a desk job below her level. He positively lights up when Pasha responds to one of his facts by telling him one she knows, and they quickly go into a back-and-forth of telling each other interesting facts. Hunch even notices the connection between them and fishes for Pasha's number for the Fix.
  • Pasha and the Fix reunite in the last episode. He is so smitten that he has no facts to share with her.
• When the White Key gets used in Episode 5, The Power of Friendship helps Conrad save the day for a moment. Justin gets turned him into a snarling mad dog, but Conrad uses his friendship with Justin to conceptualize his own key from the memory of the ice skates, de-brainwashing him and turning Justin back to normal.
• In the finale, Conrad once again uses his empathy, acknowledging Madam Self Loathing's role in Elias's mind, and accepting her, convincing her that she can be a force for good. By the end of the episode, Madam Loathing has taken a new role representing Elias's guilt and shame, renames herself Guilta, and leaves the orphanage to The Fix and Pasha.
• And finally, The Reveal that Ichabod Ice Skates, Pasha N's brother, is alive and well, that he had been the waiter at Nostalgia's Diner. Brother and sister are reunited at last.

Burrow’s End

Five

• Ava's opening-up about her feelings surrounding the death of Kenji. When she reaffirms how she loves Tula and Viola.
  • Equally funny and heartwarming is Meatwolf sensing Ava's distress and tries to remove her from the situation by holding her in its mouth.

Fantasy High: Junior Year

• Despite not having seen her in around two years, Bucky, the oldest of Kristen's three younger brothers, now a freshman at Aguefort, is very happy to see her again. He greets her with a huge hug and asks if they can talk after classes. When they do speak, Bucky says he does miss and want to spend time with Kristen, despite their now differing religious beliefs
  • Kristen for her part, reciprocates Bucky's hug, hugging him tightly, and protects him against their parents' bullying. She later (unsuccessfully) tries to reassure him he's not going to Hell for lying to their parents about the gold she left at the start of Sophomore Year.
  • Within his and Kristen's conversation, Bucky mentions he had to beg their parents to let him attend Aguefort. Its not unfair to assume he did this, at least partially, so he could have a chance of seeing his big sister again.
  • Kristen's exchange with Buddy Dawn in Episode 10 is mostly just a passive-aggressive back and forth, until Buddy suggests he can look after Bucky if she can't. Kristen immediately becomes far more serious and makes it very clear she will not let that happen.
    Kristen: I'll never let you do that.
• Adaine's improved relationship with Aelwyn. Despite only rooming together for about a month before Adaine left to fight the Night Yorb and Aelwyn moved out, the two started the season caring for each other more than ever before. Adaine doesn't hesitate to discuss her money problems with Aelwyn, something that she's keeping secret from Jawbone. While it's still awkward for them to text that they love each other, the sentiment is there.
  • When Adaine lets a love you slip out when wrapping up her call with Aelwyn, Aelwyn immediately begins playfully bragging about how Adaine has exposed herself and therefore Aelwyn wins, to which Adaine responds with equally playful repeated denials.
• Despite the Bad Kids' mutual dislike of the Ratgrinders, Adaine saves Ruben from a Disintegrate spell cast by Principal Grix, which would have done him major damage at best and killed him unrevivably at worst.
• After being blocked from taking the MCAT and thus taking on a lot of stress tokens in order to successfully cram three years worth of artificer class on top of his other duties (as well as the in-character frustration of the battle at his home), Gorgug finally confronts Porter the barbarian teacher about why he is making things harder for him, kicking the classroom door off its hinges and shoving Porter. Porter, finally seeing Gorgug applying himself and being honest with himself about his relationship to his rage, tells Gorgug that he's proud to have him as a student, that he's impressed by how he applies his rage intelligently, and that he has to give himself permission to feel his feelings.
• Aelwyn has adopted many cats. When Adaine questions where she got the cats and suggests she just took them off the street after one hisses at her, Aelwyn explains defensively that she got them from the shelter: specifically, she went into the shelter and asked to adopt the cats who had been there the longest, something that everyone is immediately and audibly touched by.
• When the Bad Kids and Co arrive at Kai Luminura, Telemine greets them and specifically greets Gorgug with a Yak Bak that has his name prerecorded with the correct pronunciation. Sure, Fig immediately steals it and when Telemine tries to say Gorgug's name correctly out loud, he says something closer to "Grape Nips", but the attempt is sweet.
• When the Bad Kids reunite with Gilear in the Elven Lands, it appears as if his supernaturally bad luck has suddenly and inexplicably morphed into supernaturally good luck, something he is deeply unnerved by. However, his reaction to Fig explaining that she's somehow taken on the curse he had is immediate horror and an insistence that they change it back. Fig refuses and insists that he deserves his good luck after everything he's been through. She also slips up and calls him Dad, though that's not something either notice or acknowledge.
  • Later when the curse is broken, Gilear says this
    Gilear: I am happy, it is too many blessings to ask for, to have good luck in addition to the most wonderful daughter in the world
• When the Ratgrinders and Bad Kids get into conflict in Episode 14, Oisin attempts to de-escalate and later Messages Adaine "Sorry."
• When talking with Kristen, Bucky mentions he's having trouble with his adventuring party since none of them will convert to Helio. However, by this point, it’s already spring-time and we know party members can be kicked out/leave. This suggests Bucky's party does like him despite his proselytizing and that he does hold them in some regard despite their differing beliefs.
• Fabian takes it upon himself to approach Gertie Bladeshield, currently on his nemesis list, and clear the air- since he and Kristen are friends and what’s been happening between her and Gertie has been awkward since one of Kristen’s best friends is her nemesis. He offers to do whatever it is she needs to clear the air- be it an apology or a fight, whatever she wants , he’s good, he just wants to fix things. She challenges him to a fight- he wins, helps her up off the ground, asks if they’re good, and determines they are. But then the crowning moment happens- he lets her know that Kristen likes tea and tie dye, if she needs an in for gifts or the like, telling his now former nemesis basically how to court his friend.
