• Go ahead, try to enter an expletive into the cheat code menu. Spidey shows up to punch the letters and turn them into wholesome things like "kittens" and the like!
• A lot of Spider-Man's one-liners in the game are hilarious to listen to.
  Spider-Man: (dodging Rhino so he'll get shocked by electric pillars) Rhino-burgers! Comin' up!
• The noises Rhino makes when he electrocutes himself during his fight.
• Venom, whose portrayal is often seen to be one of the best elements of the game. Pretty much every scene featuring him is comedy gold, but there are many highlights:
  • The cutscene before the level where Spider-Man has to chase Venom has Venom sneaking up in Spider-Man (Venom doesn't trigger the Spider-Sense)
    Venom: Parker hates it when we get the drop on him...
    Jump Cut to Spider-Man
    Spider-Man: I hate it when he gets the drop on me!
  • The cut-scene right before the first boss fight with Venom is also a laugh riot, too:
    Venom: Hmm. Where'd Spider-Wuss go? SPIDER-WUUUUUUSS! COME OUT AND PLAAAAAAY!
    Spider-Man: (Landing feet-first on Venom's head from off-screen) Tag!
  • When What If? Mode is enabled during the "Chase Venom" level, the apartment building Spidey and Venom break into has been changed to a gym. The chase moves through the ladies locker room.
    Woman: Hey, nice biceps. *giggles*
    Venom, sounding devious: Thank you.
  • The vanilla version is pretty funny, too.
    Woman: (screams)
    Venom: Oops! Sorry lady, didn't see a thing.
  • This particular scene at the end of a level:
    Spider-Man: Open this door!
    Venom: (from the other side) WHO IS IIIIIT~?!
  • After Venom realizes Spidey was innocent and his plan to put Mary-Jane in danger was a bit misplaced to say the least, he has this to say.
    Venom: Sorry, Parker. You and your wife are innocent. Our bad.
    Spider-Man: Our bad? Our bad?!?!! I'm gonna kill you!
    Mary Jane: Peter Parker! Just get me out of here, now!
    Venom: Bumm-er, you're in the doghouse now, dude.
    Spider-Man: Coming, (through gritted teeth and glaring at Venom) honey!
  • Spidey trying to work out who was responsible for the theft of the big computer and Venom offering his suggestions. Starting with 'Submariner', then 'The Mighty Thor!' and finally 'Galactus!'
    Spider-Man: Are you out of your mind? Don't answer that.
  • When Spider-Man says that he and Venom will be using the Daily Bugle's computer databases, Venom has this magnificent Incredibly Lame Pun.
    Venom: Ooohhh...are we gonna surf the web?!
    Spider-Man: (sounding irritated) ...Let's just go, okay...
  • The very next cutscene:
    Spider-Man: Here it is - the records room!
    Venom: (in front of a computer) Surf the web, surf the web!
    Spider-Man: Shut up, Brock, we don't have time!
• The ending to the PS1 game, with all the game's villains playing Go Fish in prison.
  • Rhino is ecstatic that he got a Bingo, but quickly realizes his mistake, and also wonders about the Animal-Themed Superbeing naming—there's a Rhino, Scorpion, and an Octopus, but what's a Mysterio?
    • And when he sits back down, his weight ends up catapulting the Jade Syndicate thug on the other side of the bench halfway through the ceiling.
  • The heroes... are also playing Go Fish, with the Punisher complaining that Daredevil's been looking at his cards all night. Daredevil is blind.
    Daredevil: I don't need to look at your cards Punisher, your bluffs are So Obvious.
    • Also, apparently Punisher is really bad at bluffing. Being that he's the only superhero at the table without a mask, who'd've figured it?
  • In this scene, behind Mysterio there's a poster of a swimsuit model with his Mysterio helmet taped over her head.
  • Dr. Octopus is busy banging his head on the cell bars, and the sequel shows he's still doing it months later.
• Stuff in What If mode:
  • The dance room Easter Egg.
  • The rubber duck in the first area of water.
  • Lizard telling Spidey "Listen dude, I'm not telling you again".
  • Black Cat dancing in What If? mode.
  • One of the lizardmen farts.
  • The miniature Dr. Octopus.
    I Am Mini-Ock!
    • Pretty much the entire Boss Fight in What If? mode.
  • There’s also Carnage having a squeaker voice.
  • Scorpion, JJJ, and Spider-Man play Marco Polo in the race to the Bugle.
  • The helicopter pilot is apparently a big fan of Apocalypse Now, judging by how he quotes Lt. Col. Kilgore and hums Ride of the Valkyries.
