Despite the scary moments that are bound to happen within the manga, there are surprisingly some comic relief, most likely to lighten up the mood for the many traumatized readers!
General
- Any time Uruma shows that he’s Not So Stoic. You would have never expected someone as serious and blood-thirsty towards his enemies could ever be so hilarious, especially when it comes to ANY shred of intimacy with girls.
- Azuma's jealousy towards Kaname sort of counts, as she tends to spy on Uruma from time to time and gets annoyed whenever he hangs out with Kaname.
- Whenever Kitami is present, he always gets into situations that makes the audience laugh at him!
The Main Story
- Azuma’s friend Mone smacking her on the head. Or slapping Azuma across the face. Some friend indeed.
- Some of Senkouji's interactions with Uruma (which would be subverted later on).
- Senkouji taking several photos of himself and Uruma.
- Senkouji buying several accessories for Uruma himself.
- Azuma tries to thank Uruma for saving her from a rapist but is very bashful while trying to find the words. Then Mone randomly bursts in, loudly proclaiming good morning. Azuma tells her to shut up and go away. Then she tries to hit Mone with her school bag as she happily runs away, much to Uruma’s confusion.
- The scene in which Ushiro reassures Azuma that the day she witnessed him and Karen having sex was nothing more than just a play, causing her to feel relieved. Pretty funny and unexpected for such a horrible villain until he threatens her with a knife all the while saying "YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!!"...
- Azuma imagining that she is at a love hotel dressed in various costumes, until she STRIPS off all her clothing, causing a man to faint in surprise!
- Azuma and Uruma’s first kiss. She wanted to thank him properly for saving her life, but the moment they do so, the manga skips to a panel in which Uruma pushes her away, surprised yet confused, and imagines a solar system with the head of his grandfather as stars! This is directly after witnessing several chapters of Uruma’s brutalities against those that wronged him, never missing a beat, yet all of a sudden blacks out at his first kiss!
- When Uruma receives a letter in his locker, he’s confused over who would want to send him a letter. Meanwhile Azuma witnesses this and fears that it’s a love letter and worries that she’ll have a love rival over Uruma’s affections. She wonders if perhaps others have seen his charms. Cut to Uruma, who’s STILL wearing the same blank expression over his letter.
- It turns out Azuma had every right to worry, when it’s revealed that he’s received the letter from Kaname Shirakawa, the School Madonna. Then we have this exchange-
- Uruma: WHAT?!Azuma: It’s over for me!
- The immediate next chapter reveals she only wants to be his friend! It was explained on the translation note when she said naka (meaning inside in Japanese) at the end of the previous chapter, she now says nakama (meaning friend in Japanese). Uruma and Azuma are visibly relieved when all of that is cleared up.
- In hindsight they do end up having sex, but not without the tragic backstory behind it.
- Jun pushing Kaname onto Uruma when they met. The moment Kaname falls onto Uruma and when they hit the ground, Uruma accidentally gropes Kaname by her breast! The manga skips to the next panel in which once again, Uruma is in his own little world of his grandfatherly galaxy, shocked and embarrassed at what is happening.
- Azuma, who has been secretly spying on them, goes Demon Head mode and shatters the wall she’s been gripping on. Her jealous rage was so strong, Uruma can actually sense it as killing intent!
- Jun being curious over Uruma's relationship with Kaname is definitely funny as he looks as if he were a monster who would enjoy messing with Uruma!
- Kaname getting frustrated with Jun is also just as hilarious as she feels that her brother is being pushy!
- At some point, Uruma takes the opportunity to run away while still being flustered by the meeting.
- The moment when Kaname and Uruma are selected, or rather, Got Volunteered by their classmates for the lead roles of Romeo and Juliet in their upcoming School Festival.
- Azuma thinks it's the end of the world for her.
- A lot of the boys are upset that Uruma gets the lead role with their School Idol, Kaname, but ultimately backed down in order to keep the peace.
- Kaname gets flustered while she’s secretly happy to be with Uruma.
- Uruma is terrified, yet resigns at all of this commotion. All the while dragging down a piece of chalk he’s been using.
- Uruma's bad acting that annoys some of his classmates.
- Meanwhile Azuma is… really into her role as Juliet’s mother and orders her to stay away from Romeo, or rather Uruma. Their classmates even notice that most of her lines aren’t even in the script!
- Everyone’s freak out when they discover there’s a kiss scene between Uruma and Kaname. Did they forget that they’re doing a play on one of the most famous tragic love stories EVER? It turns out they’re only pretending, but it doesn’t stop Azuma or Kaname’s admirers from freaking out the more Uruma and Kaname get closer to one another.
- Eventually Uruma and Kaname practice alone with their lines and the fake kiss, but Uruma notices that she’s getting even closer than what was scripted, and backs her away, much to his embarrassment.
- Uruma being shocked that both Anna and Kuga are the fastest ramen eaters at a shop. He even considers that perhaps Kuga (who he knows is a rapist) sees her as a rival rather than a woman.
- Uruma accidentally witnessing Anna changing her clothes in front of a window in her room, then quickly looks away.
- Anna grabbing Uruma's hand and putting it on her chest when Uruma is in disguise as a schoolgirl named Urushibara. This causes Uruma to be extremely flustered and embarrassed.
- Anna noticing that Urushibara has some muscles.
- Anna checking a message on her phone and LEAVING the place she and Urushibara are at as she exclaims that she'll pay for the bill!
- Anna noticing that Urushibara has some muscles.
- The moment that Kurosawa almost said Uruma's name out loud in front of Kuga and Anna when Uruma was disguised as a schoolgirl named Urushibara. Before the man had a chance to do so, Uruma immediately shuts his mouth in order to prevent him from revealing his identity. The moment Anna and Kuga approaches them, Kurosawa claims that Uruma is his girlfriend as Anna confirms that she and Kuga are dating, much to Kurosawa's dismay as he imagines a solar system in which Kuga and Anna's heads are the stars!
- Some of the moments that Kaname and Uruma had during their date at an amusement park.
- Uruma getting tense when he goes on several rides with Kaname. This is coming from a guy who can brutally kill his worst enemies yet he can’t handle some amusement park rides!
- When they visit an arcade, he was shocked that they didn't have enough money to spent on a dinner if he loses to Kaname in some games! And he keeps on losing and losing to her, much to his dismay. But Kaname proposes if he wins her a plushie at a claw machine, she’ll call it even. Uruma takes this challenge seriously.
- Azuma's reaction to getting rejected by Uruma in Chapter 64. May also double as TearJerker due to how she reacted when Uruma rejected her.
- Oota's interactions with the man she’s dating. She’s very happy to be at his company, believing she has finally found the man of her dreams. He seems to be a very friendly, easy-going, and cool person… Until he reveals his darker personality when mentioning the Revolution Club. He even tries to recruit her! Oota nonetheless decides there won’t be a second date after that meeting.
- A strange one in Chapter 69, but Miguel reassuring Masashi prior to his transformation is pretty odd for such a villain like him. However, this doesn't excuse the crimes he commits.
- Momoki covering her ears in annoyance to Masashi's constant shouting counts as one. However, similarly to Miguel, it only makes her role as a villain viciously ironic.
- In Chapter 71, as Kyou was commenting on his observation of Uruma over the four years and his expectancy for the latter to commit suicide, he simply comments that Uruma didn't die while making a childish face. He even claps his hands like a child...
