Lethal Chef: In her Unit Episode, Phiria asks Alk to mentor her in cooking. This goes poorly.
Mundane Utility: Alk finds difficulty training her to be a competent cook; luckily, Stella figures out how she can apply her wind magic to do the all-important task of... food prep.
Not the Intended Use: Her Flipperversary variant is actually more geared towards Light Ability Damage but her Skill is hits VERY hard that she's sees more usage in Light Skill Damage teams.
Sole Survivor: Phiria comes from a world where she was known as the Oracle and was tasked with protecting her world, but was forced to flee and leave her home behind when daemons overwhelmed it. She initially regrets leaving the people she was sworn to protect to die, but Light argues that she did the right thing by following her heart and not allowing herself to be pushed around by people who treated her more as a tool. Subverted that she actually from the same world as Light, Cecilia and Gerard^note.
Support Party Member: Her regular variant heals and triggers Levitate on Skill use. Her Passives provide offensive utility by boosting the party's damage while Levitate is active, as well as giving her party a regenerative effect and boosting the max HP of Wind units on the team.
Trauma-Induced Amnesia: When she arrives at Starview Village, she can't remember what happened to her and is taken in to treat her wounds. Stella figures her condition is the same as Alk's, but it's suggested that her amnesia is trauma-induced and appears to clear up after she's had time to rest.

Clingy Jealous Girl: A subtle one but she didn't really appreciate Alk and Hanabi being a bit too close to each other in the latter's Flipperversary first episode.
The Dragonslayer: In the past a dragon stole "Enlil the Skyfang", a family heirloom of the Tris, Celtie beat it and recovered the sword.
Dual Wielding: Does this on her Flipperversary version by using her own sword and her older brother Ciel's.

Situational Damage Attack: Her Skill damage scales off the player's Combo count at the time of activation, which, when combined with the Levitate buff that allows the ball to ignore gravity and reduce the cooldown of your Dash Attack to quickly rack up the combo gauge, effectively turns her into a living nuke if you can get that number high enough.
Take Up My Sword: A non-fatal version happens in Celtie's third unit episode, where her brother give his sword to Celtie before becoming the head of the House of Tris.
Underestimating Badassery: She is introduced to Alk and Light when the duo find her being accosted by a group of thugs who figure they can kidnap her and put a ransom on her head for a pretty penny. She quickly proves them wrong.

Public Domain Artifact: A personification of the sword Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi, which later would be called Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi; one of the three imperial regalia of Japan. His description, and the fact that he must be obtained by defeating Orochi many times, references the sword's original legend, in which the god Susanoo-no-Mikoto found the sword within the serpent's body. The wind element is fitting, as Kusanagi was known to have the power to command the winds. Murakumo's character art depicts the sword as a katana, rather than a straight-edged tsurugi, however.
Rare Random Drop: Murakumo can drop from the Orochi boss fight. Good luck though as the chances are very low.

What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: Shywe has never really experienced love before, only wooing Alk because it's her duty as a priestess of her village. As a result she's completely unaware that's she's fallen genuinely I love with Alk during the Love Adrift story until Sohvi bluntly spells it out for her.

Adventurer Archaeologist: She's called the "Treasure-hunting Tiger" for a reason. She even has a whip!
Badass Normal: Unlike most of World Flipper's cast, Mia stands out as having no visible magical abilities whatsoever, relying only on her trusty whip and a very large amount of throwing knives. It doesn't stop her from giving an entire ship's worth of pirates a no holds barred beatdown in Legacy of The Ocean.
Boring, but Practical: Mia's Skill is simply a barrage of knives thrown in all directions. It has no additional effects other than damage (and being able to pass through enemies). However, the extremely low cost of the Skill makes Mia a popular pick as a sub/main unit for any wind character with a high skill cost (as the skill cost of a pair is the average of the two characters' costs). Mia's abilities are likewise often considered as a bonus. She can work very well as a buffer for a team focused on high combo count, but is often used just for her Skill, with the abilities factoring in largely incidentally.
Breakout Character: Mia has been consistently one of the most popular characters among fan-artists since the game's initial launch, with her subsequent summer variant only adding fuel to the fire. Outside of Japan, Mia is disproportionally more popular than any other World Flipper character, or even the game itself, with fanart of her regularly being shared by people who don't know anything about World Flipper even before the games' global release.
Flechette Storm: Mia's preferred method of dealing with enemies, with her skill "Millions Of Knives" having her hurl multiple waves of knives all around her.
Genki Girl: She's arguably the most upbeat and energetic girl in all of World Flipper's cast as she is, but bring up treasure in any form and she's barely capable of sitting still.
Insistent Terminology: She is a treasure hunter, not a thief!
Money Multiplier: Mia's Leader ability and her first Mana Board ability both increase the Mana gained by the team upon clearing a stage. Mana is used both for advancing on the Mana Board, and for buying items from the treasure Trove. Notably, Mia and her summer variant are the only 2 units in the entire game that can do this.
Stepford Smiler: Minor example. Mia is normally extremely optimistic and upbeat, but if she's reminded of her late grandmother (or anyone else's deceased relatives, for that matter), her mood turns sombre pretty quickly. She always goes back to her old cheerful self quickly enough though.
Terrible Artist: In her second unit episode, Mia attempts to draw a tiger as a clue for a treasure hunt she set up for Alk. It takes Alk several hours to figure out what said drawing was supposed to be.

Boring, but Practical: His 4* skill effect is to just hit all enemies in a "+" pattern really hard. Hard enough to be frequently used as a viable burst damage lead, typically accompanied by another burst damage dealer as a Second.
Chick Magnet: He's quite popular with the ladies, Inaho being one of his admirers.
Nice Guy: He's a very kind and gentle person, to the point where Alk and co. claim it's difficult to imagine him getting angry.
"Not So Different" Remark: He views the Diviner's Commission and youkai in a similar light, being strangers from different worlds, and refuses to buy Suizen's justification of the conflict between them.
The Mourning After: He is still distraught over his wife's passing. It's the reason he turned down Inaho.

Blood Knight: She loves fighting - she came to Starview Village because Nimbus ended the Forever War on her homeworld, putting her out of a job.
Defeating the Undefeatable: In their final showdown in Crown of The Beast King, Helga manages to knock out Shuilong in a single hit.
Friend to All Children: She's surprisingly good with children, and often plays with the neighborhood kids. In Crown of The Beast King, she even acts like an adoptive mother towards Teo.
Lady of War: She's rather posh, and playfully chides Nimbus for swearing in her presence. Doesn't stop her from cracking heads with her staff.
No Place for a Warrior: Despite her love of battle, she wants to create a world where people like her aren't needed anymore. However, she's rather doubtful that she'll live to see it. As of Crown of The Beast King, she gets renewed hope that the next generation of beastfolk will finally achieve the peace she strives for.
The Nose Knows: She has a very keen sense of smell, managing to track an adventurer who'd been missing in the Labyrinth for two days from the scent of his son.
