Shinobi Alliance

Main Characters

    Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki

The Hero of the story and the Sixth Hokage of Konoha. Having just saved his home from Pain, Naruto is named Hokage in the wake of Tsunade's coma and sent in her place to the Five Kage Summit in the Land of Iron. There, he proves himself after encountering and defeating his ex-teammate Sasuke Uchiha, and is subsequently named the Supreme Commander of the Allied Shinobi Forces for the Fourth Great Shinobi War. During the story, he begins a relationship with his longtime admirer Hinata Hyuga, the current heiress of the Hyuga Clan.

Tropes:

  • Abled in the Adaptation: He doesn't lose his arm in his final duel with Sasuke.
  • Adaptation Deviation: As the story's primary nail, Naruto is the Sixth Hokage instead of the Seventh and is the Grand Commander of the Shinobi Alliance instead of A the Fourth.
  • Adaptational Badass: Since he knows there's a war going on, he trains far more seriously on Genbu Island, mastering at least two more elements and merging his Kurama Chakra Mode with his Sage Mode.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: He acts far more intelligently than he did in even the later stages of the manga, probably due to the pressure of becoming Hokage so soon.
  • Battle Couple: He and Hinata tag team several times throughout the story, proving to be an effective duo together.
  • Caring Gardener: Naruto's hobby as an adult is caring for his extensive garden.
  • A Child Shall Lead Them: Naruto is the youngest Hokage in history, taking the title even younger than Hiruzen Sarutobi did. Granted, he did so while two previous Hokages were still alive, and had mentored and eased him into the role.
  • The Hero: To the entire Shinobi Alliance. When his location is compromised and he decides to join the battlefield, he turns the entire tide of the war immediately.
  • Official Couple: With Hinata.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Sasuke, after his Heel–Face Turn.
  • World's Strongest Man: By the end of the story, he's universally regarded as the strongest shinobi in the world, and the strongest shinobi to have ever lived.
  • Worthy Opponent: To Madara Uchiha, who is immediately impressed by him during their first clash.

    Hinata Hyuga

Hinata Hyuga

Deuteragonist of the story and Naruto's Love Interest. Heiress and eventual Head of the Hyuga Clan after her father's death in the war, Naruto and hers relationship grows over the course of the war through the many battles and hardships they endure together. She awakens the next level of the Byakugan, the Keihatsu Byakugan, prior to the war, which soon proves to merely be a prelude to the grand destiny she has ahead of her. During the Time Skip, she gives up leadership of the Hyuga Clan to her cousin Neji so she can properly pursue her relationship with Naruto.

Tropes:

  • Absurdly Youthful Mother: It's revealed in the Kakashi Hiden short story that Hinata is in her early stages of her pregnancy. Given the story takes place a year after the main story, this means that she is 18.
  • Adaptational Badass: While Hinata is by no means weak in the manga, here she becomes a Kage-level shinobi after awaking and mastering the Keihatsu Byakugan. Then, after absorbing some of Matatabi's chakra and then Hamura's chakra, she awakens the Tenseigan, putting her on par with Naruto and making her one of the strongest shinobi to have ever lived.
  • Adaptational Explanation: Kakashi Hiden: A Battle in the Sky! shows that the reason why she managed to earn the "Queen of Gluttony" Red Baron from eating the most bowls at Ichiraku is because she's gotten cravings while being pregnant.
  • Babies Ever After: With Naruto. She falls pregnant with their first child in Kakashi Hiden.
  • Battle Couple: She tag-teams with Naruto several times throughout the story, most notably in the Final Battle against Tobi and Madara.
  • Brother–Sister Team: When she isn't teaming with Naruto, she's usually teaming with her cousin Neji, who she treats as an older sibling.
  • Cool Big Sis: To Hanabi, who looks up to her and dearly misses her during the war.
  • Official Couple: With Naruto.
  • Playing with Fire: Although her main elements are this and Lightning, she puts more emphasis on her Fire techniques after absorbing some of Matatabi's chakra, as the Bakeneko's special trait is increasing the power of fire and giving her host blue flames.
  • Staking the Loved One: She's forced to fight her father Hiashi during the war, after he was killed by a reanimated Kakuzu and then reanimated himself by the Edo Tensei.
  • You Killed My Father: She beats the shit out of Kakuzu after learning he was the one to kill Hiashi.

    Sakura Haruno

Sakura Haruno

Naruto's teammate, one-time crush and current female best friend. Tsunade's second apprentice, she works hard over the course of the war to catch up to her two male teammates and in the process eventually surpasses her teacher as both a medic and a combatant. Begins a relationship with her other teammate Sasuke Uchiha during the one year Time Skip between the Fourth Shinobi World War and Kakashi Hiden.

Tropes:

  • Absurdly Youthful Mother: It's revealed in the Kakashi Hiden short story that Sakura, like Hinata, is in her early stages of her pregnancy. Given the story takes place a year after the main story, this means that she is 18.
  • Adaptational Badass: Sakura was by no means a weakling towards the end of the manga and easily Kage-level, but here, thanks to a Kama seal, she becomes as strong as Naruto and Sasuke like Hinata. There's no question that like those two and Hinata, she's one of the strongest shinobi to have ever lived.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: In canon, Sakura has a rather nasty and noticeable case of Love Makes You Dumb when it comes to Sasuke and it's rare for her to be unbiased towards him. War of the Biju tones this aspect down quite a bit, if not outright removes it as while the idea of Sasuke becoming good is something she wants, she is shown to be capable of being objective and is shown to be wary when he does make a Heel–Face Turn instead of jumping on the Easily Forgiven train.
  • Beta Couple: With Sasuke. Whereas Naruto and Hinata's relationship is smooth-sailing for the most part, especially after Naruto realizes that he's fallen for Hinata, Sakura's relationship with Sasuke is considerably more troubled even after he makes a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Explicitly called this by the narration after the Kama seal causes her to grow horns.
  • Like Brother and Sister: With Naruto.
  • Shipper on Deck: For Naruto and Hinata. In the first chapter, she's the one to push Hinata towards Naruto so he can catch her, allowing them to finally confront their growing feelings for one another.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Flatly refuses to even consider a relationship with Sasuke until he fully redeems himself and proves his Heel–Face Turn is genuine.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Unlike in canon, where Sakura became a Love Martyr for Sasuke, Sakura admits to him she still loves him, but flatly refuses to even consider a relationship with Sasuke until he fully redeems himself and proves his Heel–Face Turn is genuine. This includes having to earn her forgiveness and his chance to be with her, if he wants it.

    Sasuke Uchiha

Naruto's other (former) teammate, long-time rival, and male best friend. The last living member of Uchiha Clan, he abandoned Konoha three years prior to apprentice himself to Orochimaru for the sake of growing strong enough to kill his older brother Itachi to avenge his family's deaths. However, learning the truth about Itachi drove him insane and caused him to hook up with the Akatsuki for the sake of one day destroying Konoha. It's only after Naruto defeats him that Sasuke finally accepts the folly of his choices, electing to make a Heel–Face Turn halfway through the war to atone for his actions. He's pardoned at the end of the war for helping save the world, and begins a relationship with his teammate Sakura Haruno during the Time Skip.

Tropes:

  • Abled in the Adaptation: He doesn't lose his left arm to Naruto in their final duel.
  • Adaptational Badass: He manages to perfect Susano'o even farther than Madara did by consolidating the power into a personal armor for him to use. Madara was so impressed by this feat that he declared Sasuke the strongest Uchiha of his generation (not knowing Sasuke was the last Uchiha of his generation) and was genuinely saddened he had to cut their duel short.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Sasuke makes a Heel–Face Turn much earlier than he did in the manga due to having his fated duel with Naruto sooner.
  • Adaptational Karma: After a fashion, as Sasuke is being punished for his defection to Orochimaru and assault of the Five Kage Summit and the killing of the Samurai by spending two years working at the Land of Iron, instead of being simply being imprisoned for a certain amount of time and simply being let go. That work in Iron though is in reparation to the famlies of the samurai whom he killed.
  • Amazon Chaser: One of the things that attracts him to Sakura is watching her kick as much ass as him.
  • Beta Couple: With Sakura. While Sasuke gradually falls for her over the course of the war, it takes time for Sakura to trust him again due to all his previous betrayals.
  • Easily Forgiven: Subverted. Only Naruto is willing to fully trust him again after he reforms. Everyone else, even Sakura, remains wary of him up until the end of the war, and only really warm up to him during the last leg of the Final Battle after he helps defeat the Ten-Tails and seals it away. Even then, he was still imprisoned in the aftermath (albeit with minimal binds due to being so cooperative) and was punished with having to work for the families of the men he killed in the Land of Iron for a couple of years.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Sasuke starts off the first half of the story as a villain, but sides with Naruto after his defeat during their final duel.
  • I Regret Nothing: The only thing Sasuke doesn't regret doing during his stint as a bad guy is killing Danzo.
  • Last of His Kind: Specifically, he's the last Uchiha's Konoha branch family.
  • Missed Him by That Much: He runs into Naruto before he can stumble upon Itachi, and is only able to reunite with his brother during the Final Battle.
  • Reformed, but Rejected: Downplayed. During the War, while Sasuke's Heel–Face Turn wasn't met with outright rejection, people were put on edge and only tolerated him because Naruto vouched for him, and after the War is all said and done, he is punished for his crimes he has committed prior to it, but it's said that his punishment could've been more harsh if it wasn't for it.
  • Revenge Before Reason: As par for the course, Sasuke's most notable flaw lies with this, which results in Karin defecting from Taka in favor of the Shinobi Alliance, and even Suigetsu admits that she might have been right in ditching them.
  • Stronger Sibling: To Itachi. After awakening the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and later the Rinnegan (along with the Yin half of Hagoromo's chakra), Sasuke has surpassed his brother a hundred times over and is quite possibly the strongest member of the Uchiha Clan ever born.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Naruto after his Heel–Face Turn. Some things never change.
  • You Are Not Alone: Gets one from Kakashi during the final chapter of War of the Bijuu, telling him to spend some time with the Konoha 11 before leaving to the Land Of Iron and recommends taking Sakura with her.

    Kakashi Hatake

An elite jonin of Konoha and the team sensei of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. He guards Naruto during the Kage Summit and is later put in charge of the Third Division of the Shinobi Alliance during the Fourth Great Shinobi War. There, he plays a pivotal part in several key battles and finds that he and his old team have far more to do with the ongoing events than they initially believed.

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Angst Downgrade: Kakashi is considerably less angsty than he was in canon due to Tobi never being Obito here, leading to the below Adaptational Backstory Change. He even gets the rest of his team sans Obito back.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: He never killed Rin due to Obito never being chosen as Madara's successor. Instead, Danzo faked Rin's death during the Kyuubi attack so he could force her into ROOT as his personal medic.
  • Adaptational Badass: He never loses Obito's eye, and it even temporarily evolves into a Rinnegan during the Final Battle. While it goes back to normal afterwards, the evolution heals all the damage the eye has accumulated over the years. He's later set to inherit Obito's other eye, with Tsunade promising to adjust it so he can finally deactivate the Sharingan at will, which will give him access to Obito's Intangibility and make him one of the strongest shinobi in the world.
  • Adaptational Job Change: He never becomes Hokage, instead working as a regular Jonin after the war is over.
  • Badass Teacher: Despite his students being stronger than him, Kakashi is shown to be no slouch himself and is continuously becoming more badass even during a period of peace.
  • Berserk Button: The Edo Tensei, and Desecrating the Dead in general. He's absolutely furious when Kabuto revives an aged-up Obito to fight him, and that fury only doubles when he learns through Obito's fighting style that the eye Tobimaru has been using is his best friend's.
  • In Spite of a Nail: He still ends up fighting an older Obito during the war, though in this case it's due to the Edo Tensei.
  • The Mentor: While he was this to all three of his students, he focuses on Sakura during the story and it's his tutelage that finally helps her reach Kage-level.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: While Rin had a crush on him when they were younger, by the time of adulthood it's faded entirely, and they've settled into this.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives an awesome one to Tobimaru during the Final Battle, pointing out that for all of Tobi's grand ambitions and "power", he's nothing more than a Dirty Coward who hid behind people stronger than him until he had the opportunity to take what he wanted.
  • Ship Tease: With Kahyo in the Kakashi Hiden side story, much to Rin's amusement. The final chapter reveals that they are an item.
  • Staking the Loved One: He's forced to fight an aged-up Obito during the war after the latter is revived and enhanced by the Edo Tensei. Naturally, neither of them are happy about this with Obito literally begging his friend to stop him from hurting anyone.
  • Tranquil Fury: He remains in a low-key version of this for the rest of the story after learning Tobi stole Obito's eye.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: He reunites with his old teammate Rin (who had her death faked after being press-ganged into ROOT), and his sensei Minato and Minato's wife Kushina both get legitimately resurrected during the war. He even gets to briefly reunite with Obito via the Edo Tensei (if under less-than-ideal circumstances).

Konoha 12

    Shikamaru Nara

Shikamaru Nara

Leader of Team 10 and one of Naruto's closest friends and eventual advisor. Considered to be the smartest shinobi of his generation, he plays a pivotal part in the war and becomes the Head of the Nara Clan upon his father's death.

Tropes:

    Ino Yamanaka

Ino Yamanaka

A member of Team 10 and Sakura's best friend and rival. Thanks to her clan's techniques she has Psychic Powers and is part of the overall intelligence and sensory network of the Shinobi Alliance. She becomes the Head of the Yamanaka Clan upon her father's death, and later starts a relationship with Sai during the Time Skip.

Tropes:

  • Rank Up: In addition to being promoted to Jonin during the War, Ino gets another promotion during the Kakashi Hiden side story, specifically filling in the position of Head Jonin after Shikaku's death.

    Choji Akimichi

Choji Akimichi

A member of Team 10 and Shikamaru's best friend. A big-boned man with a kind and gentle heart, who quickly proves to be one of the physically strongest shinobi in the world. He becomes the Head of the Akimichi Clan upon his father's death.

The Six Kage

Originally the Five Kage, after the events of the War of the Biju, Rain was accepted as the Sixth Great Nation.

In the case of the Hokage, the situation is a bit in flux as Tsunade was the acting Hokage until put into a coma, with Naruto named her successor. Then she woke up fit and fiddle, while Minato was resurrected back in his prime. Given the sheer scope of the challenges they are up against in the post-war era, they are sharing the role and responsibilities so no single person is overwhelmed, while Naruto is the equivalent of first among equals for the trio.

    Minato

Minato

Fully resurrected during the events of the War of the Biju, this couple are happy

Tropes:

    Tsunade

Naruto's predecessor and the Fifth Hokage of Konoha. At the beginning of the story, she's in a coma due to expending all her energy to heal all the villagers during the Invasion of Pain. She later wakes up and joins Naruto as one of the main leaders of the alliance, sharing the post of Hokage with the understanding that she will retire and formally step down at the end of the war.

Tropes:

    Gaara of the Desert

The Fifth Kazekage of Suna and a close friend of Naruto. They meet again during the Kage Summit and reaffirm their bond, with Gaara being Naruto's greatest supporter among the other Kage, voting for him as the Supreme Commander of the Allied Shinobi Forces. In turn, Naruto names him the Regimental Commander of the Ground Forces, trusting him to unite the shinobi under their command while Naruto is in training. The two later fight together in the war alongside the Fourth Division, first against several of the previous Kage, then against the reanimated Madara Uchiha.

    Konan

A member of the original Akatsuki, and the international terrorist group it became. She joined the fight alongside the Shinobi Alliance against Tobi, and was later accepted as the Sixth Kage.

Tropes:

  • Lady of War: Elegant and dangerous as she fights with paper and seals.
  • Reformed, but Rejected: Downplayed somewhat with Konan. Even though her role during the War helped mitigate the worst of how people feel about her, there are people who feel that she hasn't done enough to be accepted into the Shinobi Union on equal footing or to be fully forgiven for her actions as an Akatsuki member. Her actions during Kakashi Hiden help mitigate this though.

Other Allies

    Kushina

Kushina

Back with her family after the events of the War of the Biju, Kushina is overjoyed to have a second chance with her family.

Tropes:

  • Action Mom: Go on, underestimate her, we double-dare you.
  • Sole Survivor: Minato and Kushina are the sole survivors of the graduates of their Academy class. Everyone else in their generation either died prior to the war or during it. [[Survivor Guilt Understandably, this hits them both hard].
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Unlike in canon, Kushina did not die when Kurama was extracted from her and has been Tobi's prisoner since the day Naruto was born.

    Sai

Sai

A former member of ROOT who temporarily replaced Sasuke on Team 7 and subsequently befriended Naruto and Sakura. He is a master in swordsmanship and can temporarily bring his art to life to fight for him. He later joins regular ANBU, rising through the ranks to become a Captain during the Time Skip, along with starting a relationship with Ino Yamanaka.

    Tenko

Tenko

The biological son of Jiraiya and Tsunade, who grew up raised by the Toads of Mount Myoboku. He met Naruto during his training to defeat Pain, and later joined up with the Shinobi Alliance.

Tropes:

  • Always Second Best: His entire life he has been compared second in talent to his infamous parents. However since he never really met them, it was impossible to live up to their 'perfect' image without ever seeing their flaws. This trend would unfortunately continue to some degree with Naruto, who actually got to know his father.
  • More than Mind Control: Being subjected to this by Gengo, through a combination of charisma, deductions about his buried issues, and genjutsu across the land.
  • One-Night-Stand Pregnancy: According to Shima, this how Tenko, was conceived, as the two were celebrating Minato's coronation and the former managed to woo her and convinced her to have unprotected sex.
  • Raised by Wolves: Tenko is revealed to be raised by the Toad summons in secret from Jiraiya after Tsunade didn't think she was fit to raise him, although she made a point to visit him every once in a while.

    Kurama

Kurama

The Biju sealed within Naruto, and a later close ally.

Tropes:

  • Monster Is a Mommy: Or daddy at least. After the war, he learns how to create his own children similar to the means by which he is created. These mini/new biju are then placed within Naruto's children, as they are already acclimatized to his and Matabi's chakra as a result of being Naruto and Hinata's children.

Akatsuki

    Tobi

Tobimaru

The Big Bad of the main story. A descendant of the branch family of the Uchiha Clan and the disciple of Madara Uchiha, he seeks to revive the Ten-Tails so he can become its jinchuriki and rule over the earth as its new God of Evil.

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Villainy: Thanks to being a Decomposite Character of Obito. While Canon!Obito at least had standards, could be affable pre-Heel–Face Turn and was genuinely remorseful after learning that he was Madara's tool, Tobi makes him look like a saint in comparison and is the true villain of the fic.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Team 7. He caused the Kyubi attack, killing Minato and Kushinanote  and forcing Naruto to become Kurama's jinchuriki, destroying his childhood. He then stirred up hostilities between the Uchiha Clan and Konoha, later manipulating Fugaku into going through with the coup so he could manipulate Itachi into killing them all, screwing over Sasuke's childhood and eventually leading him down the path to leaving the village and abandoning his team. Then, it's later revealed he murdered Obito (who had been miraculously saved by Madara) for his eye, using it for his own ends. After all these revelations come to light, every single member of the team wants him very, very dead.
  • Big Bad: Of Fourth Shinobi World War.
  • Deceptive Disciple: To Madara. He had no intentions of reviving Madara or even going along with the Moon's Eye Plan, instead seeking the power of the Ten-Tails so he could one day Take Over the World as a God of Evil.
  • Dirty Coward: As pointed out by Kakashi, he could've kidnapped Naruto and the other Jinchuriki and completed his grand plan years ago. The reason he didn't, and the reason he took over the Akatsuki in the first place was because he was ultimately too scared of the people guarding Naruto and so manipulated and sent others more powerful than him to do his bidding.
  • Eye Scream:
  • Foil: To Itachi. Like Itachi, he was a prodigious member of a branch of the Uchiha Clan who eventually slaughtered his kin. Unlike Itachi, who was manipulated by Danzo and Tobi himself into committing the deed and was attempting to prevent a coup to preserve the peace, Tobi killed his family so Madara couldn't find another disciple among them to replace him. Itachi hated what he did and wished everyday that he could've found a different solution; Tobi regards murdering his family to be among his fondest memories. Even the treatment of their younger siblings differs: Itachi, for all his resolve, couldn't find it in his heart to kill Sasuke and instead manipulated his brother into hating him so he could one day be strong enough to both kill Itachi and redeem the Uchiha Clan, and to prepare him for the trials ahead; Tobi had no issues killing his younger sister and is pleasured by the memory of their father begging for her life.
  • Hated by All: He's even more reviled than Canon Madara. Absolutely no one likes him or has any respect for him due to his treachery, cowardice, sadism, and overall Jerkass personality. Even the Sage of Six Paths, who calls Madara "misguided", can't believe someone as evil as Tobi exists.
  • Kinslaying Is a Special Kind of Evil: Tobi being responsible for the destruction of the two Uchiha branch families, which includes personally killing his own biological family, is met with disgust, with Madara in particular with absolutely outraged by this to the point of committing a Heel–Face Turn and Enemy Mine with The Alliance.
  • Organ Theft: He murdered poor Obito for his eye, much to the fury of the rest of Team Minato and Kushina.
  • Original Character: Thanks to Continuity Drift. Originally, Tobi was intended to be the real Madara. Plans changed after the manga confirmed Tobi wasn't Madara, so the author made him an entirely different character instead of going with his canon identity of Obito.
  • Sadist: He genuinely reveled in his family's deaths, taking particular pleasure in the memory of his father begging for his sister's life, and resurrects Minato permanently solely so he can torture him.

    Madara Uchiha

One of the Founders of Konoha and the Evil Mentor of Tobi, he was murdered by Tobi years before the start of the story and revived by the Edo Tensei during the Fourth Shinobi World War. Original siding with his student, he turned against Tobi during the climax of the war and sided with the Shinobi Alliance after learning about the Uchiha Clan Massacre from one of his kinsmen, Sasuke.

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Heroism:
    • Canon Madara ultimately committed to the Moon's Eye Plan for a glorified ego trip. This Madara went through with the plan for the sake of his clan, and intended for them to inherit the Earth once it was completed. He eventually turns against Tobi after learning about the Massacre.
    • He's also an overall less of a Jerkass than Canon Madara because of his opponents going through differing levels of Adaptational Badass and proving themselves as worthy adversaries to him.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: He isn't universally despised like he is in canon due to his different motivations and his decision to temporarily ally with the Alliance. He's also a lot more respectful of his enemies than he is in canon as they are all able to sufficiently challenge him.
  • Blood Knight: He loves a good fight.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Madara's response to Tobi orchestrating and taking part in the Uchiha Massacre is one of disgust and anger and it cements him completely turning on him.
  • Heel–Face Turn: What cements Madara's Adaptational Heroism is that he has one during the final stages of the War in response to learning how much Tobi has derailed his Eye of the Moon plan during the intervening decades since his death and resurrection, and pulls an Enemy Mine with The Alliance.
  • Villain Respect: He commends Onoki for dying on his feet like a true shinobi.

    Kabuto Yakushi

Kabuto Yakushi

The former apprentice and right-hand man of Orochimaru of the Sannin. After his master's apparent death, he reintegrated Orochimaru's remains into his body and furthered his research into the Edo Tensei, electing to side with Tobi against the Shinobi Alliance for the sake of his own plans.

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Badass: It turns out that he managed to keep some of Madara's DNA for himself and uses it along with some White Zetsu and a Senjutsu technique to give himself the Rinnegan.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Because Itachi was unable to defeat him on his own, Kabuto never makes a Heel–Face Turn and remains a villain up until the end of the story.
  • Fatal Flaw: Arrogance. Kabuto underestimates everyone, and it always comes back to bite him in the ass.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Yes. It happens so often that eventually even he's forced to acknowledge it as a major flaw of his.

Other Villains

    Orochimaru

Orochimaru

Orochimaru of the Sanin, and snake summoner. Unlike canon, remains a villain following the War of the Biju.

Tropes:

  • Adaptational Villainy: Remains a full-blown villain after the War of the Biju as opposed to being pardoned with a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Bad Boss: Little to no tolerance for failure, or the slightest insubordination.
  • X-Ray Vision: Takes a pair of Byakugan eyes and implants them within himself as a compensation prize, and discovers he actually underestimated how useful they can be. His vision now spans the entirety of the continent.

    Gengo

Gengo

The dictator ruling the Land of Silence.

  • More than Mind Control: His specialty. Possesses a genjutsu which reaches across the entire island, slowly bringing people under his sway. However he is also very charismatic, and perceptive of people's inner feelings.

Next Generation

Uzumaki Boruto, Uzumaki Shina, Uzumaki Tsune, and Uzumaki Himawari

Naruto and Hinata's children shown in the epilogue, and planned for future stories.

Tropes:

  • Adapational Badass: More than just a skilled ninja and a valued bodyguard, Mirai Sarutobi is comparable in power to the likes of Itachi and Jiraiya, and despite her young age is considered a viable candidate for the next Hokage.

  • Ascended Extra: According to Word of God, instead of Boruto it will be Himawari who will be the focus of the future story.

  • Super Breeding Program: A big part of why the Hyuuga Clan Elders are fine with Naruto and Hinata being in a romantic relationship lies with this, as by the end of the War they have inherited god-like powers and any Hyuuga gaining them sounds too good to pass up.

  • The Trickster: Tsune is a big prankster, particularly towards his grandpa, but he keeps getting grandma Kushina instead, and having to run for it.
