The kindly groundskeeper of the Louds' ancestral home. He acts as the family's guide during their stay in Scotland, informing them of their family history.

    Morag

Voiced by: Michelle Gomez

The main antagonist of the film. She's the cantankerous caretaker of the Louds' castle. Her ancestor, former caretaker Aggie, had initially managed to rid Scotland of the Louds in order to achieve some peace and quiet.

  • Ambiguously Brown: She's a Scottish woman, but has dark skin.
  • Ax-Crazy: Although she doesn't act insane all the time like most examples, Morag still establishes herself to be absolutely crazy, especially when vehemently seeking out to accomplish the success of her evil plans.
  • Bathing Beauty: Downplayed in the beauty part. She's not that much of a looker, but she is introduced while taking relaxing baths.
  • Big Bad: She is the first genuinely evil antagonist of the franchise.
  • Break Them by Talking: She tries to do this to Lincoln during their final confrontation near a cliff, telling him he'll never be special and that he will forever stay in his sisters' shadow in order to force him into surrendering the crown to her. It doesn't work out.
  • The Corrupter: With the Dragon Stone and Royal Scepter, she and her ancestor Aggie are this to dragons. She is also this to a very downplayed extent with the Loud Kids, encouraging/enflaming their innocent insensitivity (Sisters) and insecurity (Lincoln).
  • Depraved Dwarf: She's only barely taller than Lincoln and is rotten to the core.
  • Despotism Justifies the Means: Basically what her motive and end goal amount to; to have peace and quiet after exiling/murdering the Louds.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She looks up to her ancestor Aggie.
  • Evil Is Hammy: She may seek peace and quiet, but can be just as hammy as the Louds if provoked.
  • Evil Is Petty: Her sole motivation for ridding Scotland of the Louds is because they're too noisy. It is implied that the same was true for her ancestress Aggie.
  • Evil Counterpart:
    • To Lincoln upon reflection about previous episodes, and to a startling degree.
      • To wit, both are family helpers who desired peace and quiet from the common chaos and rowdiness of the Loud family. Both plot and scheme to get what they want, using their knowledge of others to their advantage, as well as special tools exclusive to themselves to further their agenda (Lincoln with the Noise B Gones, and Morag with the Dragon Stone).
      • Both inherit something from their ancestors and desire to attain them (Lincoln wants to be Duke, Morag wants the peace and quiet her ancestor Aggie attained 400 years ago by driving the Louds away).
      • They both humiliate someone to gain prestige, usurp someone in a position of authority to attain power, and are primarily out for themselves in their plans.
      • Both also have a unique quirk about their hair involving anger (Lincoln's cowlick blows steam like a teapot/kettle when in red-faced or intense anger, Morag's hair gets more frizzy and wild the angrier she gets).
      • Unlike Lincoln however, who often realizes and tries to amend his wrongs and mistakes, never does what he does out of malicious intent, and grew to want the crown to be a good ruler (after pressing from Angus). Morag cares not for the people of Loch Loud, is driven to drive out and murder the Louds out of nothing but malicious intent, and only wanted to be Duchess to permanently exile the Louds, take over Loch Loud, and attain peace and quiet. She also doesn't seem to learn her lesson either, and intentionally plotted to steal the throne, unlike Lincoln, who worked for the throne and was put into his position as "the one in charge" on the spot by his sisters after overthrowing Lori in No Guts, No Glori.
      • Both are also the opposite gender, have near complete opposite hair colors (Lincoln has typically short white hair in a cowlick, and Morag has abnormally large grayish black hair held in a - presumably traditional to her family - bun), and also have a signature hobby relating to nudity (Lincoln likes to read his comics in his underwear; Morag likes to take relaxing baths).
    • Morag is, in a way, this to all the Loud sisters too.
      • When she become Duchess of Loch Loud, Morag starts to act like Lori whenever she's in charge of the Loud house. But Lori only acts like a bossy tyrant just because she feels as if her siblings aren't gonna need her anymore and she just wants to keep the Loud house from falling into chaos. Whereas Morag acts like a tyrant just for her own personal gain.
      • She shares Leni, Lisa, and Lola's germaphobic nature. But unlike them, she is not a Nice Girl at all.
      • Like Luna, she has her share of foreign accents like her.
      • Like Luan, she played mean tricks on the Loud family. But while Luan still loves her family and others, Morag cares for no one but herself.
      • Compared to Lynn Jr., Morag expresses her anger in silence while Lynn doesn't have any problems showing her frustration in public.
      • Like Lucy, she is associated with dark magic. But Lucy uses magic for good while Morag doesn't.
      • She's the villainous Neat Freak to Lana and Lily's heroic but dirty Tom Boy's.
    • She, in a way, can also count as one towards Rita and Lynn Sr. While the latter two are more welcoming to other people, Morag isn’t and wants to be left alone.
    • She can also count as an Evil Counterpart to Mr. Grouse, as both are adults who had to live with the Louds' noise and despise it. But whereas Mr. Grouse does little more than shout at them, and grew to form a kinship with the Louds, Morag deliberately attacked Lincoln's self esteem, framed him for an act he didn't do, lied to an entire town, stole Lincoln's birth right as Duke for her own, terrorized Loch Loud, and intentionally attacked and tried to MURDER the entire Loud Family! So suffice to say, these two would NOT get along at all if they ever met. Also, both have a similar hair dichotomy to Lincoln and Morag, and unlike Mr. Grouse, who lived next door to the Louds for years, Morag was their caretaker for a week at most who lived WITH them for a brief time before (unwillingly) moving.
    • She could even be an Evil Counterpart to Angus. They are both caretakers of the castle. But while Angus's relationship with the Louds is out of mutual respect, Morag's relationship with the latter is made of animosity.
    • During her time as the Duchess of Loch Loud, Morag becomes one to the mayor of Royal Woods, Theresa Davis. They are both female rulers. In their own right. But while Mayor Davis cares for all the citizens, Morag cares only for herself.
  • Evil Laugh: She lets one out once she's finished her Villain Song.
  • Evil Overlooker: One of the Netflix header images has her as this, presiding over and looking down on a frightened Lincoln.
  • Familial Foe: She definitely qualifies as such, having a grudge against the Loud Family, conspiring to have them exiled from Loch Loud, and even going as far as to try to kill them all, including Lily, just to get peace and quiet.
  • Hartman Hips: Her hips are many times wider than the rest of her body.
  • Ironic Hell: Her penalty for her actions is that she is banished to an island of loud sea lions. Subverted as one of the credit scenes show her being taken from there by Angus, though she is still forced to serve the spirits of the Loud ancestors.
  • Karmic Butt-Monkey: Throughout the first half of the movie, she is constantly pushed around by the Loud children (with the exception of Lincoln).
  • Knight of Cerebus: While she does have her Laughably Evil moments, she proves to be a bigger threat to the Loud family than any antagonist in the series, successfully tricking the citizens of Loch Loud into turning on Lincoln to drive the family away, uses the Ancient Dragon Stone to control Lela and make herself Duchess, and came dangerously close to killing a whole family, which mind you, includes a baby.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Her plan to drive the Louds out of Scotland by ruining Lincoln's reputation in Loch Loud, and making the town hate the Loud Family, actually ended up making Lincoln MORE BELOVED by the people of the town and solidifying their love of the Louds. As well as retroactively undoing her ancestor Aggie's 400 year long success.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: It is clear to both Angus and the audience that Morag cares not one iota about the working-class people of Loch Loud, at one point referring to them as "peasants."
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Right before preparing to have the controlled Lela incinerate the Loud family (and Angus) to death.
  • Redemption Rejection: As she's cornering him at a cliff, Lincoln offers her a chance to relinquish her machinations and apologize to everyone, to which Morag retorts that she'd have to be a fool to do that.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Rare hero/villain example. Angus (red) is friendly and enthusiastic, whereas Morag (blue) is completely and utterly obsessed with peace and quiet (except when she's indulging in Evil Is Hammy, in which she becomes the red).
  • Satanic Archetype: A potentially unintentional one alongside her ancestor Aggie. Being one of the highest forms of servants there is to the Loud Family, a conspirator desiring to take the place of the rightful ruler through usurpation, liar and manipulator associated with malevolent dragons, and a foe cast into a form of Hell. She fits the bill quite well honestly.
  • Shadow Archetype: Morag is basically Lincoln if he let his desire for peace and quiet, and any resentment he may feel toward his family for their behavior define him. Same with Mr. Grouse and his general dislike of the Louds living up to their name, even if he didn't appear in the present time of the movie.
  • The Usurper: To Lincoln's Rightful King. She frames Lincoln for the near destruction of the Loch, and tries to pass her ascension to the throne off as a royal order. Taking it by force with a mind controlled Lela when the townspeople don't bite her bait, and crowning herself Duchess.
  • Villain Song: "The Duchess I Must Be" about her wanting to get rid of the Loud family and rule over the town by controlling the dragon.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: She is more than willing to commit violent acts to rid herself of the Loud family up to and including attempting to murder them.
  • Villainous Breakdown: She undergoes one in her final battle against Lincoln, so utterly bent on having peace and quiet no matter what that she lividly lunges at him in an attempt to murder him.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Becomes very apparent towards the end of the movie:
    • While her and Lincoln are on top of the dragon, she frequently tries to shake him so he'll fall off, she also kicks him in the chest so he'll let go of the jewel.
    • After the Louds (sans Lincoln) re-enter the castle after Morag takes control of the dragon, she corners the whole and uses the jewel to make the dragon burn them alive, luckily Lincoln steps in.

    Aggie

Voiced by: Katy Townsend
Morag's ancestor, the former caretaker of the castle. She's the one who drove the royal family of Loch Loud out of Scotland to achieve peace and quiet.
  • Bad People Abuse Animals: She called Lolo the dragon a "monstrous pea-brained cretin".
  • The Corrupter: With the Dragon Stone and Royal Scepter, she and Morag are this to dragons.
  • Evil Sorceress: It was she who created the Dragon Stone.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: And Small Role, Big Impact. As the one who drove the 1600s Louds away in the first place, thus resulting in the present day's generation of Louds having the lives they do in Royal Woods, she is responsible for everything that happens in the The Loud House franchise.
  • Karma Houdini: She is never known to have received any comeuppance for driving away the Louds.
  • Posthumous Character: She is long deceased in the present day, and only appears in pictures and flashbacks.
  • Predecessor Villain: She is the only antagonist who lived before the show's events.
  • Satanic Archetype: A downplayed example compared to her straighter example descendant Morag. As a former servant of the royal Loud Family who plotted their usurpation, is associated with malevolent dragons, and serves as the posthumous greater scope villain of the series she fits rather well. But lacks the failure, more overt manipulation tactics, and fall into a form of Hell aspects that Morag has.
  • Villainous Legacy: Her actions leave a massive lasting impact on the present day events.
  • Walking Spoiler: Her use of the Dragon Stone, and status as the Greater-Scope Villain, are huge spoilers for the movie's contents and plot.

    Lela
Voiced by: Jan Johns
A dragon that befriends the Loud family.
  • The Chooser of the One: As a dragon of Loch Loud, she has the ultimate authority to deem someone worthy of being the Duke of Loch Loud. Case in point: the one she returned the crown to after Morag was defeated was Lincoln.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Lela shows that not only are dragons actually real, like Lana speculated, but they seemingly grow older by how much they eat: during the course of the movie, she goes from about Lily's size to twice her size just by eating some burritos, and by the climax she's about as big as the former dragon of the family, Lolo.

1600s Louds:

    In General

Voiced by: Brian Stepanek (1600's Lynn Sr.), Jill Talley (1600's Rita), Liliana Mumy (1600's Leni), Lara Jill Miller (1600's Lisa)

The Loud family's distant paternal ancestors.

  • Ambiguous Situation: It's unknown where they were as ghosts during all that time prior to the events of the movie, or if they even settled somewhere. Lucille mentions being home after 400 years upon being summoned by Lucy in the Loud Castle, making it likely that she and the rest never returned to said castle prior. Yet near the end of the film, the Duke tells Angus that he never laid eyes upon a more worthy Duke (Angus himself), heavily implying he'd been watching over Loch Loud for a long time.
  • Blush Sticker: Most of them have a prominent pink blush on their cheeks, though it's likely that it's only makeup.
  • A Form You Are Comfortable With: Their spirits manifest themselves as they appeared on their family portrait out of nostalgia for their old home, despite having died when they were older.
  • Identical Ancestor: Physically, they look completely identical to their distant descendants.
  • Mythology Gag: Their family painting is a rendition of a promotional image of the main show back when it began airing, save for a few characters changing positions and the presence of Rita and Lynn Sr.
  • No Name Given: With the exception of Lucille, none of their given names are revealed, not even the Duke's.
  • Significant Double Casting: They have the same voice actors as their modern-day counterparts, except for Lucille, who is voiced by Katy Townsend instead of Jessica DiCicco.
  • Shared Family Quirks: They share many quirks with their distant descendants. Lisa's counterpart is a Child Prodigy scientist, Leni's is The Ditz and a fashionista, Lynn Sr.'s has a habit of saying "ding-dang" when frustrated, Luna's is a passionate musician, Lynn Jr.'s is into sports, and Luan's is a comedian.

    Lucille Loud

Lucy Loud's ancestral double, whom she summons early on in the movie.
  • Ambiguous Situation: She is carrying Lucy when she, her parents, sisters, and Angus spot an unconscious Lincoln after he'd crashed into the castle's entrance with Morag and Lela, but is mysteriously absent once Morag prepares to incinerate the Loud family as well as Angus, controlling Lela. It's possible she went to recruit her own parents and siblings to help out, only for Lincoln himself to do it for them in the nick of time.
  • Big Damn Heroes: She discovers Aggie's book and the page with the dragon mind control spell, allowing her to realize Morag is the true threat and Lincoln is innocent.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Although very little is known about their relationship, it's implied she's the responsible to the ancestral Duke's foolish, as she's the one who has to get him to surrender his crown to their mind controlled dragon for their family's safety. Although, it was less "convince" and more "inform of what needs to be done", as the Duke actually listened and heeded her words rather than actually argue against them and make things worse.
  • Friendly Ghost: She is very helpful towards the living generation of the Loud family, and appears to be more quirky and fun than Lucy.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: Lucille is surrounded by an ethereal blue light, and can choose whether to be solid or intangible at will.
  • Psychic Powers: Telekinesis is one of her abilities, and she is capable of restoring a burnt book.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Like her descendant double Lucy, she has black hair and pale skin. Likely born with it like her too, given that the 1600s lacked hair dye.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Both she and Lucy have the tendency to pop up and scare others.
  • Wise Beyond Her Years: She was already familiar with ancient lore as a child.

    The Duke
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/organic_duke.png

Voiced by: Asher Bishop

Lincoln Loud's ancestral double, and the former ruler of Loch Loud.

  • 11th-Hour Ranger: He, and the rest of his family sans Lucille, only really factors into the present day plot at the end, to further approve of Angus becoming the new Duke.
  • Badass Cape: He wears a cape, and is a child monarch who wields a sword and rides a dragon.
  • Big Good: This is how Angus describes him. Despite seemingly being the foolish sibling to Lucille's responsible sibling, he's touted as being the most special Loud of all time, whose name was known far and wide (and, ironically, isn't spoken at all in the film), deeds were noble, and heart was stout.
  • Do Not Taunt Cthulhu: When Lolo, actually controlled by Aggie, confronts him and deems him no longer worthy of being Duke, he angrily commands her to let him and his family back to Loch Loud, only to nearly get incinerated.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: A downplayed example. Although very little is known about their relationship, it's implied he's the foolish to Lucille's responsible, as she's the one who has to get him to surrender his crown to their mind-controlled dragon for their family's safety. Again, it's more a matter of him knowing less of the reasons behind Lolo's betrayal than Lucille does, as he quickly understands and goes along with the situation.
  • Founder of the Kingdom: As the one chosen by the Guardian Dragon of the Loch that is (presumably) Lolo to wear the crown and bear its responsibilities, he counts as this for Loch Loud.
  • Improbable Age: Used to be a monarch despite only being a child.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: Two ancestor/descendant examples to Lincoln.
    • Unlike Lincoln, who is the voice of reason for his family's living generation (most of the time, anyway), the Duke had to be told so by Lucille before he finally gave in and surrendered the crown to his hypnotized dragon for their safety. Not to say that he actually argued against doing so outside of justifiable confusion and frustration.
    • Whereas Lincoln has Youthful Freckles, the Duke has a beauty mark, making this the only known biological difference between them.
  • Nice Guy: He's revered as a ruler for a good reason. Best shown near the end of the movie, where his ghost graciously allows Angus to take the crown. He also bonds with Lincoln and helps the Loch Loud populace.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: He's only ever referred to as the Duke.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something:
    • Several paintings of him depict him as wielding a sword.
    • In the credits, you can see the Duke and a few of his sisters helping Angus sweep chimneys.
  • Young and in Charge: Was the Duke despite being only eleven years old at the time.
