The Invincible Seven

Members

    Mindfreak(Alfred Hill)
TBA
  • Action Hero: Downplayed; his powers actually mean that for the most part, he has to fight in a more strategic and intelligent way, due to lacking any kind of physical prowess.
  • All-Loving Hero: Seems to genuinely believe that everyone deserves some kind of chance at retribution, even the foes he faces.
  • Badass Adorable: He's a complete dork who just so happens to be a superhero.
  • Badass Bookworm: Despite lacking any kind of real strength, he still manages to be this due to his superhero persona.
  • Being Good Sucks: Inverted, in his eyes at least; while Roseville may hate his guts as a superhero, Alfred was actually expecting that kind of initial reaction, and is just fine with saving people regardless of his reputation and having fun while doing it.
  • Brainy Brunette: While not obvious at first, he's a pretty smart guy.
  • Cannot Talk to Women: Usually isn't able to handle a full conversation with most girls.
  • Classical Antihero: An undeniable hero, and out of costume, he's a good guy who clearly tries to do what's right. Despite this though, he has clear issues with learning how to actually control his powers, and has a hard time managing them alongside his social life, causing him to often make things unintentionally difficult for just about everyone around him.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Due to years of experience from reading comic books, he's learned enough about them to easily understand how most of them work in terms of fighting style, motivation, etc. Due to this, he's more than prepared to counter just about anything that comes his way.
  • Determinator: Possibly the biggest one of the bunch. Despite his rather weak powers, he refuses to give up on keeping the others safe.
  • Dork Knight: He's a pretty friendly guy with an undeniably strong moral compass, but also a socially inept loser.
  • Guile Hero: His main strategy for defeating his enemies is based around manipulating their mistakes and weaknesses into his favor.
  • The Hero: A brave and friendly guy who goes out of his own way to always do what's right.
  • Heroic Bastard: His mother got pregnant with him in high school.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: When he makes his first appearance as Mindfreak, the public is scared of his power, the police believe him to be a criminal, and criminal organizations have already sighted him as a hindrance. Basically, nobody likes the guy.
  • Motor Mouth: He has a problem with learning how to shut up.
  • Nerd Action Hero: A huge comic book fan who is overjoyed by the fact he gets to become a superhero himself.
  • Nice Guy: Downplayed; he tries to be a nice person, but due to a lack of social skills, he can come across more awkward than friendly.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: Began the story as this. By the end of the first chapter though, he has become a superhero.
  • Proud to Be a Geek: Sees no shame in the fact that he's an avid comic book collector and a film expert.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: An undeniably bright person, who just so happens to wear glasses.
  • Socially Awkward Hero: Lacks any kind of social prowess, and usually gets the raw end of the stick because of it.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Word of God confirmed it as kimchi.
  • Wake Up, Go to School & Save the World: A high school student that suddenly gains the abnormal power of being able to manipulate the mind in order to find things out about others and mess with their sense of reality. Due to this and his love of superhero comics, he has also decided to use these powers to keep people safe.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Physically, he isn't all that strong, but if he uses his powers the right way, he can put them to really good use.

The Zodiacs

    Pisces
The twenty-third ranked Zodiac, Pisces is a gentle soul at heart and undeniably very wise, but despite this, suffers from an inability to get over his own cowardice. Powerful in his own right, he seems to be incapable of using this strength to his advantage, as in the end he often gets too lost in his own mindset, causing these powers of his to ultimately be useless.

He was the last of the Zodiacs to awaken, causing him to be one of only two that actually met Alfred. However, the second just so happened to be Astron, a former Zodiac who had turned against them and attempted to kill Pisces and steal the microchips. Determined to save the chips, he implanted one into Alfred, turning him into the superhero, Mindfreak, and allowing them to stop and presumably kill Astron, though in the process, a large number of microchips were also stolen. Now, determined to stop anyone who gains control of them, he is now working alongside Mindfreak as his mentor.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: Really doesn't seem to understand Earth's culture, and outside of that seems to have some pretty weird habits.
  • Eccentric Artist: He's a little odd to say the least, but that doesn't change the fact he's actually got quite the creative side.
  • Nice Guy: While a little stern, he is undeniably loyal and friendly.

    Astron
The twenty-fifth ranked zodiac, before leaving the group early in it's existence due to not agreeing with how the rest of the Zodiacs handled their duties. Cruel, intelligent, and undeniably creative, he was seen as the most dangerous member of the group, lacking a lot of the morality that the others often showcased and thus causing others to be fearful of him.

Following the Zodiacs, he intentionally destroyed their ship as it was escaping from their planet, causing it to crash down onto the Earth. Attempting to then try and steal the microchips for himself, he was only stopped by the combined power of Mindfreak and Pisces. In the process, he was presumbably killed by the two, but ended up dropping his single microchip in the process.

IGNORE FOR NOW

    Isabel Flame
TBA
  • The Ace: A beautiful young woman with excellent athletic capabilities, a brilliant mind, and a great reputation for her kindness and need to do what's right. She's essentially perfect compared to her comrades.
  • Action Girl: Downplayed when compared to Ashley, but she's still quite the badass.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Not as prevalent as Ace, but she can be pretty sarcastic herself when she's had enough of those around her.
  • Does Not Like Men: Or at least, she has a pretty low opinion of most of the men she knows.
  • Dude Magnet: Due to her popularity, she's attracted quite the attention from the men of the school.
  • Knight Templar: Seems to have a far violent outlook on what should happen to the villains than her teammates.
  • The Leader: She quickly takes command of the Invincible Seven, acting as the closest thing they truly have to a leader.
  • Nice Girl: Downplayed; she's a good person and rather friendly, but she has little to no real tolerance for the more annoying or idiotic people around her.
  • Playing with Fire: She has the power to control fire.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Word of God confirmed it as margherita pizza.

    Ashley Kauffman
TBA
  • Action Girl: She's a small girl who just so happens to love fighting due to her supernatural strength.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Girl: Though slightly downplayed; she's very egotistical about her own abilities as a fighter, to a point where she will insult those unable to put up a good fight, but still has a nice side she showcases towards true friends.
  • Berserk Button: Never question her decisions, if only for your own good!
  • Blood Knight: Certainly loves a good fight, especially against someone she considers a Worthy Opponent. Might explain why she's so attracted to Chad, besides the obvious reasons.
  • Bruiser with a Soft Center: She's a tough girl more than willing to throw a punch or two, but she's still a good person who can actually be very kind.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Can get ticked off rather easily by the smallest of insults.
  • Has a Type: Strong, athletic men with handsome faces.
  • Heroic Willpower: Despite her opposition clearly having many advantages over her, she refuses to give up her cause.
  • Hot-Blooded: Rushes into conflict rather quickly for little reason, and thus is among the first to attack villains.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She can be hard to work with at times, but still has a good heart and does the right thing more often than not.
  • The Lancer: She doesn't really like following orders too much, usually getting quickly annoyed by them and instead doing her own thing.
  • Lethal Chef: She can not cook to save her life.
  • Ship Tease: With Chad.
  • Pintsized Powerhouse: The smallest member of the Invincible Seven, and also possibly the strongest besides Chad.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Word of God confirmed it as roast beef sandwiches.

    Acelin Kauffman
TBA
  • Affectionate Nickname: Referred to more often than not as "Ace" by those who like or respect him.
  • Anti-Hero: Unlike his teammates, he doesn't actually care too much about being a hero and still puts more focus on his studies than actively protecting others from harm. Despite this, he will still help, he's just the last of them to jump to the call.
  • Badass Bookworm: Upon receiving superpowers, he has become far stronger and more powerful.
  • Bad Liar: So bad that Freya has grown acustomed to seeing through his bullshit.
  • Being Good Sucks: Despite helping save the school from Great Gila, that doesn't mean he enjoyed it.
  • Berserk Button: It's best to not insult his intelligence and what's he is capable of with it.
  • Brainy Brunette: By far one of the smartest characters of the series.
  • Combat Pragmatist: The primary way he deals with enemies is through heavily exploiting any weaknesses he sees.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He doesn't tolerate stupidity too well, and when someone does something he considers idiotic, his first instinct usually is to insult them with a snarky comment.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: An undeniably gifted and intelligent boy who receives little to no real respect for this fact.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Downplayed; he is a genius, and has the capabilities of putting together incredible machinery now thanks to his powers, but it still needs time and he can't pull off superhuman feats in that department.
  • Genius Bruiser: Upon gaining superpowers, he has the ability to start putting up a decent fight against his opponents while still maintaining his intelligence.
  • Good Is Not Nice: To say he's an asshole would be an understatement, but he is still a good guy...Kinda.
  • Jerkass: He's an impatient, rude, and annoying self-righteous boy who actively goes against his girlfriend's wishes, doesn't give anyone the benefit of the doubt, cut all ties with a close friend for little to no reason, and actively belittles his sister's friends in front of her.
  • It's All About Me: His Fatal Flaw is his inability to look past the fact that he focuses on himself and his own life far more than anything else, causing him to overlook other people's issues and problems and the fact that he might be hurting them in some way.
  • Lethal Chef: Is apparently an abysmal cook, to a point of where both him and his sister prefer take-out over either of them attempting it.
  • Official Couple: With Freya.
  • Shock and Awe: He is able to control electricity.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Others actively call him out on just how big ego truly is, to a point where some of the students at the school associate him more with arrogance then intelligence.
  • The Smart Guy: The most brilliant student in all of Redwood High.
  • The Snark Knight: Downplayed; he has shades of it, but the Self-Deprecation side of things is notably rarely seen much at all.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: While mostly the ice-side is showcased, he is able to occasionally showcase his sugar-side towards Ashley and Freya.
  • Tall, Dark, and Snarky: Fits this to a tee; he's of an above average height, has dark hair and skin, and is the most sarcastic and snarky character in the series.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Well, not evil really, but he's still a colossal Jerkass.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Word of God confirmed it as potato chips.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Him and Chad used to be close friends when they were younger, but over the years, Ace cut all contact with Chad completely for little known reason. This has made things a little...Difficult, around the two.

    Chad Bridgewood
TBA
  • An Ice Person: He is able to control ice powers.
  • Berserk Button: Insulting or injuring those he considers his "bros", otherwise known as friends.
  • The Big Guy: The most athletic student in all of Redwood High, despite his young age, and his rather large frame and defensive capabilities only help this stand out more.
  • Chick Magnet: Gets plenty of attention from the ladies to say the least.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Does some rather strange stuff at time for little to no real reason.
  • The Ditz: The dumbest of the seven by far, and the one who's the most likely to make stupid mistakes.
  • Hidden Depths: Seems to feel genuinely betrayed by Ace ceasing all contact with and ignoring his existence, showing that despite seemingly being the Dumb Muscle of the team, he still has more to him then thought.
  • Hunk: A very handsome, athletic, and muscular boy.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Of the seven, he's the one who is affected the most by his newfound powers in negative ways, since it causes him to quickly stand out compared to his teammates due to changing his hair, his skin, and the frost produced naturally by him. By the end of the first chapter, he already wanted the powers gone.
  • Literal-Minded: Seems to not be able to understand jokes too well.
  • Lovable Jock: By far the nicest member of the Redwood football team, being a downright Nice Guy.
  • Nice Guy: Kind to a fault and incredibly friendly, he's probably one of the most friendly people in school.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Due to his rather ditzy personality, he has a tendency to do some bizarre things, most of which end hilariously for someone.
  • Ship Tease: With Ashley.
  • Super-Strength: He gained incredible strength alongside his super powers.
  • Token Good Teammate: Of the football team; he's the only member of it to be an undeniable good person, while the rest are far more grey in morality.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Word of God confirmed it as a steak.
  • Troubled, but Cute: A very attractive and cute young man, who just so happens to have some personal issues relating to his former closest friend cutting off all contact with him.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Him and Ace used to be close friends when they were younger, but over the years, Ace cut all contact with Chad completely for little known reason. This has made things a little...Difficult, around the two.

    Nedrick Kite
TBA
  • Badass Bookworm: While not truly a bookworm in a traditional sense, he is a pretty nerdy guy who became far more powerful upon receiving powers. Unlike the other two nerdy heroes though, he always was at least a little bit of a badass.
  • Blood Knight: Is absolutely ecstatic to get the chance to finally fight and showcase his ninja training!
  • Combat Parkour: He's a very limber and agile boy, which certainly helps in taking down far larger opponents.
  • Dork Knight: Basically fits the trope to a tee due to being a socially oblivious but still incredibly charming and friendly guy.
  • Fragile Speedster: He's incredibly fast, but due to his lack of weight(as in, he weighs nothing now), he gets sent flying back with even the smallest of hits, meaning he really can't take one too well.
  • The Heart: Even prior to becoming a member of the Invincible Seven, he was probably one of the most likable and friendly people in school, leading most of the students to see him as a friend.
  • Motor Mouth: Simply doesn't seem to be able to shut his mouth.
  • Nice Guy: Enough of one that even resident Alpha Bitch Veronica can't bring herself to dislike him.
  • Occidental Otaku: His love of ninjas and Japanese culture quickly sets up how much of a dork he really is.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Word of God confirmed it as ramen.

    Kanaya Wells
TBA
  • Action Girl: Downplayed, but she still is a superhero who rushes into fights against villains to save innocent lives, despite not usually being the one to actually fight.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Downplayed, but she can get pretty distracted rather easily.
  • Girly Girl: The girliest of the three female members, who spends most of her free time doing more traditionally feminine things.
  • Good Is Not Soft: She may be a good person, but do not try to get on her bad or try to hurt innocent people.
  • The Medic: Due to her powers more being about defensive and supportive capabilities, she usually takes on the role of being the healer for the group.
  • Nice Girl: Possibly the nicest of the Invincible Seven, being charitable, supportive, and kind to a fault.
  • Number Two: Due to her already being a semi-friend of hers, Isabel quickly gives Kanaya command when she's not around. Problem is...Kanaya isn't much of a leader.
  • Socially Awkward Hero: Her personality is certainly...Unique, and friendly at that, but that doesn't change the fact that she's possibly the most awkward of the heroes.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Word of God confirmed it as chocolate cake.

Redwood High

Allies to the Invincible Seven

    Freya Lynn
Longtime friend to Ace, Alfred, and Mordecai, Freya acts as largely the sanest of the group who pulls them back to reality whenever they start to do something a little out of character. She's also the secret girlfriend of Ace, though doesn't like this fact too much, wanting to reveal their status as a couple to their friends, though Ace always convinces her to let the subject go.

    Mordecai Arick
An actively disliked and decidely unpopular boy, he's a freshman at Redwood High and longtime close friend to Ace, Alfred, and Freya. Despite this, he's a polar opposite to the three, acting like a very unstable and untrustworthy friend who seems to take a sick pleasure out of others getting into fights or controversial statements. Despite this, he is loyal towards his friends.
  • TBA

Redwood High Staff

    Principal Lorenzo Rodriguez
The principal of the school. A quiet and calm man, he is seen as a stern but fair figure among the students, though this doesn't stop troublemakers from frequently attempting to mess with him though. He's rarely seen outside of his office, and a good chunk of the staff and students fear him for unknown reasons.
  • TBA

    Doctor Michelangelo Spinoza
The school counselor. Adored by the people who know him and a well respected man by the community, he's widely known for his kindness and friendly personality, though who seem to know him too well.
  • TBA

    Mister Matthew Ridgewell
The biology teacher. An English professor who takes his job very seriously, but still is able to offer a more humorous take on it, he's perhaps the most liked teacher among the students, most of which look up to him and see him as a friendly guy. At the beginning of the story, he's responsible for Chad heading over to Ace's house in the first place since he wanted the latter to tutor him. This directly led to him being within the radius of the energy wave, giving the boy superpowers.
  • TBA

    Mister Gaston Ortiz
The physical education teacher. Loud, proud, and incredibly over-the-top, he's very disliked by the students, who see him as an active annoyance. Despite this, the Football Team is very loyal to him and follows his plans without question, which oddly does seem to usually end well for them.

    Mister Jesse Hanson
The multimedia teacher. Lazy and argumentative, he doesn't seem to enjoy his job all that much, which usually leads to him falling asleep during it. Regardless of whether he enjoys it or not though, he still doesn't care enough to put in any effort, causing his classes to usually be seen as breaks for students.

    The Director
The mysterious crime-lord of Redwood City. A dangerous man and one who keeps many secrets from even his closest allies, very few people have ever gotten to truly meet the man, and even fewer ended up walking away after meeting him. While little is known about him at the moment, what is known is that he was the one responsible for finding the mysterious rock that gave everyone super powers, though what he planned on doing with it is unknown. Currently working with Emotion Lord.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Looking to be one of the primary antagonists of the story already, alongside Emotion Lord.
  • Hidden Villain: His identity is currently unknown.

    Gerald Alexian

  • TBA

    Great Gila(Travis Einstein)
The biggest loser in Redwood High, Travis was commonly mistreated and belittled by those around him for his odd speech mannerisms, unusually large body, and rather ugly face. Despite this, he found solace in his love of reptiles, believing them to be the only things that understood him, especially his pet gila monster. However, similar to the team, the wave of energy affected him, only unlike them, it also resulted in him fusing with his pet, turning him into a large, humanoid lizard man. Angered by the fact he was now even more abnormal, he grew angry with the world, and now with his newfound strength, plans to take his revenge on everyone who's ever wronged him.
  • Achilles' Heel: His slow speed. Simply put, as long as you're trying to avoid his attacks, he won't hit you no matter how hard he tries, and if you run away from him, it's unlikely he'll be able to catch up too easily without destroying everything around him. In fact, the way the team ultimately beats him is by taking advantage of this little weakness.
  • Ax-Crazy: Not at first, but after being manipulated by Emotion Lord into taking revenge against those who have wronged him, he essentially becomes nothing but a bloodthirsty psychopath.
  • Blessed with Suck: Due to being transformed into a reptile monster, he now has superhuman strength and resistance to anything thrown at him...The downside is that he can never live a normal life since he doesn't even look human, his already poor speaking has devolved to that of basically just growling and one or two words at best, and his speed has been halved.
  • Body Horror: His transformation into Great Gila was...Not pretty.
  • The Brute: He really ain't all too bright, but he's plenty strong to make up for it.
  • Butt-Monkey: Went from being the most bullied kid in school, to being a giant reptile monster, and then got sent to prison after he lost his battle against the Invincible Seven...Nothing really goes too well for the guy.
  • Comes Great Insanity: Upon being turned into a lizard monster, he completely loses it, no longer caring about those around him much at all and seemingly only being dedicated to destroying those who he believes ruined his life.
  • Dumb Muscle: Upon becoming Great Gila, his only real strategy seems to be destroying everything around him in an attempt to find his prey.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Has a very deep baritone voice.
  • Face–Monster Turn: Turning into Great Gila caused him to lose what little sanity he already had, and all he can think to do afterwards is seek revenge on those who hurt him.
  • Friend to All Living Things: He loves animals, especially reptiles, and values their lives a lot more than other people's.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Went from being an unpopular and unliked outcast who was too insecure to defend himself, to becoming a dangerous monster who arrived at Redwood High with intention of murdering those who have hurt him before.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: After his transformation, he has now become half man, half gila monster.
  • Immune to Bullets: Downplayed, as they do still hurt, but it seems that they can't cause too much permanent damage.
  • Lizard Folk: He essentially is just a giant lizard man.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Honestly, had he tried to get help for his beastly form, he likely would have gotten something out of it, and yet all that happens to him instead is getting arrested after he attempted to take his revenge against his bullies.
  • Starter Villain: The first antagonist the Invincible Seven go up against.
  • Super-Strength: It terms of raw power, he's capable of tearing down a wall in a single punch.
  • Tragic Villain: On some level, he was just a lonely and outcasted kid who just wanted to be left alone, regularly seeking comfort from his pet gila monster simply to get by. No matter how terrible his actions were after being a villain, it can't be argued that he never deserved to become it in the first place.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Far stronger than any other character so far in terms of raw strength, but he doesn't really have any kind of skill to use it effectively.
  • Wall Crawling: Capable of crawling along any surface.
