Toretto Family

    Abuelita

Abuelita Toretto

Played By: Rita Moreno Other Languages

Appearances: Fast X

The grandmother of Dom, Mia, and Jakob.

  • Outliving One's Offspring: Her son, Jack, was killed in a drag race decades ago. By the end of Fast X, she may have very well outlived both of her grandsons and a great-grandson.
  • Remember the New Guy?: She's never mentioned prior to Fast X.

    Jack Toretto

Jack Toretto

Played By: J. D. Pardo Other Languages

Appearances: F9

The father of Dom, Mia, and Jakob.

  • Disappeared Dad: Was one to Dom, Mia, and Jakob.
  • Posthumous Character: Died decades ago and only seen in flashbacks.
  • Throwing the Fight: It is revealed that in the accident where Jack died, he was throwing the race because he was financially struggling and needed the cash to pay debts.

    Jakob Toretto

Jakob Toretto

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thefastandthefuriousjakobtoretto.png
"The spy game... this is my world."

Played By: John Cena, Finn Cole (young) Other Languages

Appearances: F9 | Fast X

"You know the only good thing to come from Dad dying? If he hadn’t, I’d have spent my entire life in your shadow. And now you’re gonna spend the rest of yours living in mine."

Dom and Mia's formerly estranged brother. Described as a master thief, assassin and high-performance driver.

  • Always Someone Better: Described as having always pushed himself to be faster, smarter and stronger than Dom.
  • Being Evil Sucks: He comes to realize this after being betrayed by Otto.
  • The Big Guy: He's played by John Cena, who's slightly taller than and more ripped than Vin Diesel.
  • Big Little Brother: He is bigger and taller than his older brother, Dom.
  • Bookends: Years ago, Dom told him to drive and never look back, as punishment for allowing their father to die. At the end of F9, Dom tells him to drive and never look back, not out of spite, but as a genuine advice, because he will face tough times ahead as a wanted terrorist.
  • Cain and Abel: The Cain to Dom's Abel, having planned for some time to kill his older brother.
  • Co-Dragons: Is Otto's right hand man alongside Sue, until his employer makes the bad decision to cross him.
  • Cool Uncle: To his nephew Brian, Dom’s son, in Fast X.
  • Dark Secret: His father told him to sabotage his car to throw the race. He was heavily in debt and needed the money. He made Jakob swear to never tell Dom about this, which is why Jakob never contradicted Dom's argument.
  • Dragon-in-Chief: Serves as the main muscle for Otto and does most of the legwork to the point where the two are almost of equal standing.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Post-reformation Jakob is quite goofy and down to earth.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones:
    • He and Mia are a lot more cordial and understanding with each other.
    • Despite his resentment towards him Jakob was still upset by his father's death and honored his promise to not tell Dom the real circumstances behind it when doing so would have saved him alot of trouble.
    • He goes on to have a very close bond with Little B.
  • The Exile: After finding out that he had a hand in causing their father's death, Dom banished him from the Toretto residence. He lived with a family friend and stayed in touch with Mia for a year, but eventually took off and never looked back.
  • Friend to All Children: He and his nephew Little B are the best of pals.
  • The Heavy: While Otto and later Cipher serve as the primary threats, Jakob is the physical conflict driver for the majority of the film until his betrayal and subsequential defection.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Otto is convinced by Cipher to betray Jakob, who is then saved by Mia and allowed to get away in a car by Dom, who has chosen to let go of his rage towards him. While driving away, he overhears from Dom that Dom is going to attempt a dangerous stunt to stop Otto's truck, so he comes back to help Dom.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Seemingly sacrifices his life so Dom can go after Dante and save Little B. Then again considering what kind of franchise this is, it's almost certain that he survived.
  • Hollywood Genetics: Jakob's siblings Dom and Mia are Ambiguously Brown and played by mixed-race actors. John Cena, on the other hand, is very white, and has blue eyes in contrast to their brown. Since their father, Jack, is played by a brown-skinned Latino actor, the implication is that Jakob inherited his look from their unknown and unmentioned mother. This is lampshaded by Cipher, who, upon reading about the Toretto family's ancestry, is surprised to see that they have Nordic genes, and Queenie is shocked to learn Dom and Jakob are brothers.note
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Buddy points out that all Jakob wanted was to have a family and friends who cared for him, especially after their father died, but Dom denied that when he banished him from home.
  • I'll Kill You!: Says so to Otto, after he betrays him by freeing Cipher.
  • Older Hero vs. Younger Villain: The Younger Villain opposite Dom's Older Hero, both in-character (where Jakob is Dom's little brother) and in terms of their actors (Cena is ten years younger than Diesel).
  • Nice Guy: After his reformation, he’s shown to be exceedingly kind and patient towards Little Brian.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: He squarely serves as this in the tenth film.
  • Poor Communication Kills: It is revealed that Jakob helped Jack to throw the fateful race so the family could receive compensation, because the family was in a great debt. Jack told Jakob not to tell Dom under any circumstances, as he knew that Dom would object. Had he told him about this, a lot of the tragedies involving the brothers would not have happened.
  • Redemption Equals Affliction: He decides to switch sides and helps Dom bring down Cipher and Project Ares. However, this doesn't change the fact that he is still an international terrorist, which means he will face a rough life ahead. He only manages to share a small moment of understanding with Dom and Mia before driving away.
  • Remember the New Guy?: You'd think Dom having a super-criminal brother would have come up at some point before, but nope. It's because Jakob and Dom were on terrible terms. Dom blamed Jakob for their father's death, even exiling him from the family, and Jakob never argued against this as Jack prohibits Jakob from speaking of it. Roman lampshades this, stating that he can't believe that he has known Dom for so long and yet never even heard that he has a brother, much less one who is a criminal.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: In the tenth film. So much to where he seems like a completely different guy, displaying a far more upbeat attitude.

    Brian Toretto

Brian Marcos Toretto

Played By: Isaac Holtane and Immanuel Holtane (F9), Leo Abelo Perry (Fast X) Other Languages

Appearances: The Fate of the Furious | F9 | Fast X

The son of Dom and Elena Neves, and adopted son of Letty.

  • Affectionate Nickname: Most of his family and the team refer to him as "Little B" to differentiate him from his uncle.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Considering that his father Dom is mixed with different ethnicities in his side of the family, this might make sense.
  • Dead Guy Junior: In-universe, his middle name "Marcos" honors his mother Elena's first husband, who died during a line of duty. Out-universe, "Brian" honors Brian O'Conner's actor, Paul Walker, who died during the filming of Furious 7.
  • Hollywood Genetics: In Fast X, he is played by an African-American actor, which is rather unexpected given his father is Ambiguously Brown and his mother was a white Brazilian. It's worth noting that when he briefly appears in F9, his looks are considerably more mixed.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Seems to have developed one with his uncle Jakob.
  • Morality Pet: Brian serves as this to both his father and the crew when he is kidnapped.
  • "Near and Dear" Baby Naming: Dom names his son after his blood brother, Brian.
  • Someone to Remember Him By: At the end of F9, Brian becomes Dom's living reminder of his mother, Elena, who was killed by Cipher.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: At 9 years old he gleefully kills mercenaries by shooting them with missiles during a chase scene. Of course, the mercenaries are trying to kill him and his dad, so it's somewhat justified.

California

    Hector

Hector

Played By: Noel Gugliemi Other Languages

Appearances: The Fast and The Furious | Furious 7

Hector is a former street racer and organizer. He is a friend to both Dominic and Brian.

  • The Cameo: After 14 long years, he finally makes another, brief, appearance in Furious 7 during the Race Wars scene.
  • Continuity Nod: Makes a cameo in 7 during Race Wars and gets socked by Letty.
  • Only Sane Man: In the first film, he comes across the most laid-back and level-headed of the crew heads, considering that Dom is an intense hijacker and Johnny Tran an Ax-Crazy Jerkass.
  • Red Herring: About halfway through the first film, Hector is presented as a possible suspect behind the theft of the DVD players when he comes into the store Brian works at and orders parts for a few Honda Civics (the cars used to pull of the thefts). He's not, and it's later revealed that Dominic is behind the heists.

    Suki

Suki

Played By: Devon Aoki Other Languages

Appearances: 2 Fast 2 Furious | Furious 7 note

Suki is a street racer. She is a friend to Brian and Tej.

  • Badass Driver: She comes in right behind Brian in the opening street race.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Her Honda S2000 is colored hot pink. Some of her clothing is too.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Disappears after the second movie. Potentially justified; Suki didn't bring much to the table that wasn't already covered, so to bring her in in Fast Five would have only added another cut to the take and put her in danger for no particular reason. That being said, Tej flirting with other women (such as Ramsay) implies that they might have broken up.

    Buddy

Buddy

Played By: Michael Rooker Other Languages

Appearances: F9 | Fast X note

The Torettos' former mechanic, who took Jakob in after his father Jack's death.

  • Actor Allusion: To Michael Rooker's role as a member of a pit crew in Days of Thunder.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Seen in photographs among Dom's loved ones being targeted by Dante Reyes.
  • Parental Substitute: Took Jakob in for a while after Dom sent him away, and clearly cares about both of the Toretto boys.
  • Uncertain Doom: Much like everyone in the Toretto family circle, Dante Reyes sent mercenaries after him at some point in Fast X.

Racers

    Sean Boswell

Sean Boswell

"It's not the ride, it's the rider."

Played By: Lucas Black Other Languages

Appearances: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift | Fast & Furious 6 note | Furious 7 note  | F9 | Fast X note

“So if you don’t drift to win, what do you drift for?”

The main protagonist of Tokyo Drift. After several scraps with the law, he is forced to live in Tokyo, where he discovers a passion for drifting.

  • Badass Driver: Almost inverted, as he crashes cars in the early part of the film and can't drift to save his life until later. But he learns quick.
  • Character Development: At the start of the third film, he's a Know-Nothing Know-It-All who attempts to charm his way out of trouble that he constantly makes, with a very arrogant streak against adults and friends alike. By the time of Han's apparent death, he has humbled enough to be able to respect people, even refusing to go back to the United States and instead solve the problem his own way by having an audience with a yakuza and politely asking for a race to settle the dispute.
  • Characterization Marches On: He's much more of a quirky, comic relief character by the time he's reintroduced in F9.
  • The Charmer: He seems to have a way with the ladies. Sort of. He successfully catches the attention of the girlfriends of two different guys, one a Jerk Jock and the other a Yakuza wannabe. This is also subverted when he tries his wink-and-smile combo on Cindy after the drag race and his mouth is full of blood; she is appropriately turned off.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Concerning the evidence tape following the reckless driving incident at the start of the film: "Can I get a copy of that?"
  • Comic Trio: Seems to form one with Twinkie and Earl in F9 as The Leader, suggesting a hairbrained plan to fast-track a rocket-powered car despite Earl's opposition to it.
  • Continuity Cameo: He appears in a brief scene with Dom in 7 after their race and gives Dom Han's possessions that he salvaged from the wreck. He returns for a bigger role in F9.
  • Contrasting Sequel Main Character: The protagonists of the first two films were Badass Drivers who were petty criminals, law enforcement, or petty criminals working with law enforcement. Sean, on the other hand, is a high school student who keeps doing stupid shit that gets him in trouble, like engaging in illegal street races. Also, while he can drive, he can't drive well, often crashing his cars and being unable to drift, though by the end of the film, he learns to drive better than he did before.
  • Drives Like Crazy: For the first half of Tokyo Drift.
  • Exact Words: In the words of his mother: "We are not moving anywhere." Cut to him on a plane to Japan.
  • Heroic BSoD: After Han is killed. Neela has to physically drag him away.
  • Hero of Another Story: As the hero of Tokyo Drift, Sean goes through a lot and comes out on top. However, his exploits don't really mean much in the story of the franchise as a whole, nor do his skills really compare to the team's. 7 lampshades this. In F9, he finally gets to contribute to the crew by sending Roman and Tej to outer space, even if he doesn't truly take part in the action.
  • Military Brat: His father appears to be stationed in Japan as part of the US Navy.
  • Sixth Ranger: In F9, he assists in the mission to stop the activation of Project Ares, but isn't officially part of the crew. He does attend the obligatory barbecue at the end, though.
  • Tired of Running: States this almost word-for-word when his father attempts to transfer him back to the States to save him from the yakuza. He's tired of running away from his problems and wants to solve them here and there.
  • White Male Lead: Of Tokyo Drift, which is set around the Tokyo car scene, and features a Japanese villain with yakuza ties, a Non-Specifically Foreign love interest (played by a Latina actress), and a Korean mentor figure. Protagonist Sean is a white guy from Arizona.

    Twinkie

Twinkie

Played By: Shad "Bow Wow" Moss Other Languages

Appearances: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift | Furious 7 note  | F9

Twinkie is a friend to Sean, the first he meets in Tokyo.

  • Black Best Friend: He is the first friend Sean makes at Tokyo, and mainly serves as a comic relief. As F9 reveals, he still sticks with Sean even years after graduation.
  • Comic Trio: Forms one with Sean and Earl in F9 as The Fool, supporting Sean in his plan to create a rocket-powered car.
  • Ironic Nickname: "Twinkie" is usually reserved for acculturated Asians, whereas he's an African-American expatriate.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Twinkie is not his given name.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: His only purpose in the films especially Tokyo Drift.
  • Soul Brotha: Averted in his first minutes appearing in film he has the characteristics of one by the way he carries himself but it turns out he is anything but one.
  • Uncle Tom Foolery: He downplays this trope. He displays small characteristics of this trope by being the most incompetent ally in the Tokyo Drift film, he could not even physically defend himself in a fight needed Sean to defend him addition to being cowardly and cautious of danger.

    Neela

Neela

Played By: Nathalie Kelley Other Languages

Appearances: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift | Furious 7 note

Neela is Takashi's girlfriend.

  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Invoked; she was originally from Australia and her accent goes in and out depending on her current mood. This is often Truth in Television, when things like shouting or being upset will bring out your native accent even if you've lost it over time.
  • Son of a Whore: Her mother worked as a prostitute in Japan, though Neela herself was conceived before the latter moved from Australia.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: It's unknown what happens to her after Tokyo Drift, as her cameo in Furious 7 is done through archive footage. She neither appears not gets mentioned in F9, despite Sean and Twinkie appearing.

    Earl

Earl

Played By: Jason Tobin Other Languages

Appearances: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift | F9

Earl is a member of Han's crew in Tokyo Drift.

  • Comic Trio: Forms one with Sean and Twinkie on their return on F9.

    Reiko

Reiko

Played By: Keiko Kitagawa

Appearances: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Reiko is a member of Han's crew in Tokyo Drift.

  • Mauve Shirt: In some way she's like Leon; constantly present, but less developed than the rest of Han's circle.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Is the only one left from Han's old crew who doesn't return in F9.
  • Wrench Wench: She pitches in to help rebuild a wrecked car and does so skillfully.

Civilians

    Elle

Elle

Played By: Anna Sawai Other Languages

Appearances: F9

A girl whose DNA secretly serves as the key to activate Project Ares, which can discreetly take control of any computer-controlled system in the world.

  • Action Girl: Since her parents' deaths, she has vigorously trained in martial arts and is able to hold off on her own against multiple people.
  • Damsel in Distress: In F9, she is taken by Jakob and Otto after their army ambush Dom's hideout, and forced to activate Project Ares.
  • Living MacGuffin: She was secretly made the key to activate Project Ares by her parents. As a result, both the heroes and villains race are on the hunt to get her.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her parents were killed in a car bombing by people who wanted to secure Project Ares. She was saved by Han, who, under Mr. Nobody, also wanted to secure the project, but decided to raise her in secret.

Brazil

    Elena Neves

Officer/Agent Elena Neves

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b63db778f787ab00624c3bf088f0f0bc.jpg
"If that was my husband, if there was a chance, no matter how small, I would go."

Played By: Elsa Pataky Other Languages

Appearances: Fast Five | Fast & Furious 6 | Furious 7 | The Fate of the Furious

"I'm motivated."

Former Brazilian police officer. Joined the force after her husband, also a police officer, was murdered in the favelas. Later leaves to begin a relationship with Dom. After Fast 6, she once again becomes a law enforcer, this time as part of the DSS under Luke Hobbs.

  • Action Girl: She can damn well hold her own in a firefight. In 7, she even comes back to help Hobbs fight Deckard Shaw in the DSS office and survives. And even earlier in 6 where she's not afraid to pull a gun on Hobbs (Her former boss!) when she thought he was coming to arrest Dom. Did we have to mention that both men whom she's not afraid to pick a fight with are also firmly established to be two of the biggest badasses in the franchise?
  • Back for the Dead: Is executed by Rhodes on Cipher's order as a consequence of Dom letting Letty go in Fate.
  • Boom, Headshot!: How Rhodes kills her.
  • Death by Cameo: Shows up long enough in the eighth movie to have a pair of scenes as a prisoner being held by Cipher to get Dom's cooperation. She is summarily executed by Rhodes after Dom lets Letty go after stealing the nuclear football.
  • Demoted to Extra: She has far less role in the next two films after her debut. While she is a major supporting character who briefly becomes Dom's team's adversary in the fifth, she stays back in the sixth to help care for Brian and Mia's son and only appears in the beginning and the end of the film. The seventh demotes her even further as she only appears around the scenes where she and Hobbs escape from the explosion set by Deckard. Returns in Fate, kidnapped by Cipher, along with her son, who had been unknowingly fathered by Dom during their brief relationship. Sadly, she is murdered shortly afterward, to punish Dom for disobeying Cipher.
  • Foreshadowing: After Letty is revealed to be still alive and she is reunited with Dom and his crew, Elena tells Letty that "she'd make a wonderful mother". This is because Elena is secretly pregnant with Dom's child but she wants Dom and Letty to be happy together. This also foreshadows Letty becoming an adoptive stepmother to Dom's child after Elena's untimely death.
  • High-Heel–Face Turn: Zig-zagged. It seems like she'll end up in this role throughout most of the fifth film, but both her and Hobbs end up joining forces with Toretto. She doesn't assist them in actually stealing the money, but does meet up with Dom again after the fact.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: While she is in a relationship with Dom, the latter is informed that his apparently-dead girlfriend actually wife, Letty, is still alive. Instead of becoming jealous, Elena allows him to seek and find her. Then when Letty has joined the gang again at the end, Elena chooses to leave so Dom can be together again with her. 8 reveals that she'd gotten pregnant by Dom and not even told him because she didn't want to get in their way.
  • Killed Off for Real: In The Fate of the Furious.
  • Law of Inverse Fertility: She moved in with Dom for several weeks to a few months at most, yet during that time she's able to successfully conceive a son. Meanwhile, Letty has been in a relationship with Dom for over ten years but stays childless all the same. If they're using condoms, why did Dom only not wear it with Elena's, as Letty has said that she has no problem with having kids, either?
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: Her death in the eighth film manages to kill two birds with one stone, as it allows Dom and Letty's romance to continue unabated and for them to resolve their childless issue by adopting her son.
  • My Secret Pregnancy: She's pregnant sometime during the events of the sixth film and gave birth between that and Furious 7. Subsequently, she raised the child in secrecy, without ever telling Dom as she didn't want to ruin his relationship with Letty.
  • Practically Different Generations: She has a younger sister, but while it's never outright stated what their ages are, Elena's actress is literally 20 years older than her sister's actress.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Her husband, the only other incorruptible cop in Rio, got KIA, and she begins a relationship with Dom, who've also lost Letty. Then it is subverted when Letty is revealed to be alive, and she lets Dom go to be with her.
  • Revenge by Proxy: Her role in The Fate of the Furious, executed in cold blood to raise the stakes for Dom should he betray Cipher.
  • Someone to Remember Him By: Dom and Letty together adopt Elena's son after her death.
  • Token Good Cop: In Fast Five, she's the only honest cop in all of Rio for Hobbs and his Hero Antagonist team to ask for help in hunting the Toretto Caper Crew while also dealing with the cartel that wants them dead.

    Isabel Neves

Isabel Neves

Played By: Daniela Melchior Other Languages

Appearances: Fast X

Elena Neves' younger sister.

  • Damsel in Distress: In Fast X, she gets kidnapped by Dante, forcing Dom to rescue her.
  • Practically Different Generations: Possibly. While their in-universe ages are not given, Daniela Melchior is over twenty years younger than Elsa Pataky (Elena's actress).
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Dom notes that she looks similar to Elena.
  • You Remind Me of X: Talking with Isabel about how street racers and cops aren't that different, Dom's words strongly suggest that Isabel's relationship with Elena reminds him of his own bond with Brian.

    Diogo

Diogo

Played By: Luis Da Silva Other Languages

Appearances: Fast Five | Fast X

A Brazilian street racer and Dom's friend.

  • Back for the Dead: Makes a return in Fast X after 12 years only to be become a victim of Dante Reyes' crusade to torture Dom.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: When Diogo first meets Dom, it's as competitors for each others cars (of which Dom wins offscreen). By the time he returns in Fast X, Diogo is a loyal friend to Dom.
  • Undying Loyalty: In Fast X, he is unbowed by Dante's offer of money and remains loyal to Dom.

Other Allies

    Magdalene Shaw

Magdalene Shaw

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thefastandthefuriousmagdaleneshaw.png
"I'll give you 'til I finish me cuppa. And I'm fucking thirsty."

Played By: Helen Mirren Other Languages

Appearances: The Fate of the Furious note  | Hobbs & Shaw | F9 | Fast X

"You know, nothing’s more powerful than the love of family. But you turn that into anger and resentment, nothing’s more dangerous."

The matriarch of the Shaw family and the mother of Deckard, Owen and Hattie. A high-class thief and arms dealer with a lot of connections.

  • The Cameo: Appears only in three short scenes in The Fate of the Furious, though those scenes are pretty critical for the heroes.
  • Cardboard Prison: It's made clear in Hobbs & Shaw that she can get out of prison any time she likes. (Deckard even refers to it as 'cardboard'!) She just doesn't feel like it until Deckard and Hattie reconcile and come to visit her - with some C4 disguised as a birthday cake.
  • Classy Cat-Burglar: When Dom meets her in F9, she is in the midst of stealing a necklace from a jewelry store.
  • Cool Old Lady:
    • The lady is active even in her advanced age and has many resources to achieve her goals. It's implied that even if Dom doesn't approach her to help break out her sons, she'll do that herself somehow.
    • In F9, she steals a priceless necklace in plain sight and drives a car at high speed to avoid the police by herself. Even Dom is impressed.
  • Crocodile Tears: Sheds some of these to convince Deckard to break Owen out of prison. It works!
    Deckard: (exasperated) Every time...
  • Evil Brit: While she isn't antagonistic to the crew, her introduction does frame her up to be one, and her Cockney accent doesn't help matters.
  • Mama Bear: Doesn't take kindly to both of her sons' imprisonments, despite their criminal tendencies. Before Dom offers an alliance with her, she calmly states that she has many resources and won't be afraid to use them to take revenge.
  • Manipulative Bitch: Her fake tears and general demeanor imply that she is one of these.
  • Noble Demon:
    • She may be an apparent crime boss of some sort, but she's willing to strike a deal with one of her sons' biggest enemies in exchange for their return, and then get them to help with keeping her end of the bargain.
    • In F9, she sells Dom to Jakob and Otto for a price, but sincerely tells him not to die in the endeavor. She also arranges another heist crew (and one who's leader Dom knows) to disguise themselves as the bobbies who will be sent to the embassy to arrest Dom when Otto sets him up so they can help him escape.
  • Never Mess with Granny: Being able to command your extremely dangerous criminal sons will qualify.
  • Parental Substitute: Treats Dom like one of her sons in F9 and Fast X.
  • Shout-Out: Her character looks vaguely like a parody of Judi Dench's M.

    Professor Andreiko

Professor Andreiko

Played By: Eddie Marsan Other Languages

Appearances: Hobbs & Shaw

A Russian scientist who was manipulated by Eteon into creating the Snowflake virus.

  • Butt-Monkey: Most of his screentime consists of him being harassed or physically assaulted.
  • Deadpan Snarker:
Shaw: You know, for a scientist you seem rather dumb.
Andreiko: Well, I won two Nobel Peace Prizes in a row, but whose counting?
  • The Dog Bites Back: He gets his revenge on Brixton for torturing him by nearly incinerating him with a flamethrower and allowing Hobbs, Shaw, and Hattie to get away.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He attacks Brixton and his men with a flamethrower to allow Hobbs, Shaw, and Hattie to escape, likely aware this is a suicidal move.
  • Neck Snap: Brixton kills him this way.
