    Nick

Voiced by: Hugh Dillon (Left 4 Dead 2)

As the protagonist of the series, Nick has been making an appearance since the sequel, Tasty Cools 2: Electric Coachaloo. Retaining the attitude of an ex-con man with a nice suit in the original game, he is a cynical, snarky alcoholic, but is also a caring man. Throughout the series, he is on the run from the cannibalistic serial killer, Coach, while forming a bond with his old and new allies down the road and unwillingly running into multiple conflicts and incidents, from being wanted by the police to being abducted by the cultists.
  • Action Survivor: Has only fought three times in the series while trying to escape from Coach and his subordinates every other time.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: Always wears a white suit with a blue shirt. Subverted as he doesn't usually maintain it and he only fights briefly, despite the rude impression he gives off.
  • Hand Cannon: Carries a Desert Eagle in Tasty Cools 4. Unfortunately, it was so unreliable that it's never seen again in the series, in part because it was stolen by Coach to shoot Ellis.
  • Jerkass: Even in this series does he keep this trait.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: When Nick learns that Coach has held Ellis hostage, he gets angered enough to pull out his trusty Desert Eagle before setting off to the rescue.
  • Mirror Match: In Tasty Cools 9, Director Berger creates a clone of Nick to film an in-universe Mockbuster version of Tasty Cools 6. Nick meets his clone in the restroom and engages in a fight. The real Nick wins.
    Nick's clone: I guess there's been
    Nick: Shut up!
    [after Nick wins]
Nick: You're right! There's been a change of plans.
  • Misblamed: Agent 47 pursues Nick for supposedly abducting Zoey and her sister as they are revealed to be his daughters, while Max Payne wants to kill Nick under a false belief that he is responsible for the mass murder that Coach had committed in the past.
  • No More for Me: His response to seeing Director Berger's clones as they try to negotiate with him.
    Nick: ...I gotta quit drinking.
  • The Alcoholic: Right from the first frame, he's introduced with a bottle of beer in hand. His later appearances have him switch to whiskey and bottles of John Marston's Piss, and is seen hanging out at a bar.

    Ellis

Voiced by: Eric Ladin (Left 4 Dead 2)

A young mechanic and a supporting character for Nick who is introduced in Tasty Cools 4. Just like before, Ellis is a carefree and cheerful Savannahian. He and Nick were going for a drive when Coach suddenly confronted them both with the intent of kidnapping Ellis and luring Nick out to personally kill them both.
  • Conveniently Timed Attack from Behind: Does this to Coach to save Nick from his "funeral", using Nick's trusty Desert Eagle. It does not work, due to Coach's sudden recovery.
  • Disney Death: Ellis is thought to be shot and eaten by Coach, even going as far as to mention him in the "In Memory Of" text, only to come back in Tasty Cools 6 to escort Nick out of the city with Chris. His appearance doesn't last long until he's punched in the gut by Coach in Tasty Cools 8, leaving his fate ambiguous for the time being.
  • Metalhead: He loves listening to Death Metal. In particular, the deafening kind.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: There is no official confirmation whether or not Ellis survives the gut-punch by Coach, and he is absent in Tasty Cools 9.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Kill one, rather, as he beat Trishka Novak to death to avenge Nick's "peanus", forcing Nick to make him snap out of it and apologize.

    Zoey

Voiced by: Jen Taylor (Left 4 Dead)

One of Nick's allies. She makes an early appearance in Tasty Cools 4 alongside Trishka Novak, then in Tasty Cools 5 when Nick and Francis quarreled with her boyfriend at the pool hall, and is later fleshed out in Tasty Cools 6 where she later forgives both of them for that night, and, in Tasty Cools 7, agrees to escape with the group when her apartment gets raided by the police. She lives in said apartment with her unnamed, mute sister.

    Zoey's sister
"..."
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasty_cools_8__stations_of_the_coach_9_11_screenshot.png
Zoey's younger sister who has appeared in the series since Tasty Cools 6 onwards and later serves as a Deuteragonist for Nick. She is not officially given a name or a voice, but she is very proficient in firearms and unarmed combat as revealed in Tasty Cools 8, where she helps Nick escape from the clutches of Coach's cult that holds him captive.

She is based on the "Teen Angst Zoey" model by arby26.

  • Action Girl: She becomes this trope since Tasty Cools 8, shown to hit a new record on a First-Person Shooter arcade game and preparing to rescue Nick in style of Metal Gear Solid. She also has a fighting style that matches that of Coach's and uses it full force in the (seemingly) final fight. Considering she and Zoey are daughters of Agent 47, it seems he was kind enough to teach Zoey's sister some gunplay.
  • Groin Attack: Twice in one episode, and the second time she does it on a mook, he gets shot in his nads. The cultists' reactions say it all.
  • No Name Given: She isn't called by any name canonically or officially. However, Tasty Cools 9 seems to have crowned her the name "Little Shoe", which is taken from one of Director Berger's lines ("You little... shoe!") in said episode.
  • The Voiceless: Zoey's sister does not speak. Instead, her emotions and gestures speak for her, although she can be seen silently swearing when she and Nick are surrounded by cultists.
  • Took a Level in Badass: As of Tasty Cools 8, she is no longer afraid to fight back and use stealth when she needs to. That said, she also likes to show off.

    Francis

Voiced by: Vince Valenzuela (Left 4 Dead)

"Let's see, I'm Francis, and that's Grandpa Bill and... I'm gonna kick your ass!"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasty_cools_6__a_fistful_of_donuts_2_59_screenshot.png
Nick's ally turned best friend in Tasty Cools 5. He is a hunk biker of an unknown gang who was first seen talking to and poking fun at a war veteran named Bill before meeting Nick. After a fight in the pool hall, the duo gets arrested by the police, but a certain gang of bank robbers helps them escape and find a hideout in Zoey's apartment.

    Chris Redfield

Voiced by: Roger Craig Smith (Resident Evil 5)

"Watch yourself, okay?"

Chris Redfield is a BSAA operative and Nick's other best friend who he met during Tasty Cools 4. As his friend, he can escort Nick to safety on his quadbike and, later, his helicopter.

  • Ambiguously Gay: Chris shows aggressive affection for Nick, although it's usually Played for Laughs.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Pulls one in Tasty Cools 4 to rescue Nick.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: After Chris lets Nick and the gang escape from the police in Tasty Cools 7, he is confronted by HUNK in a fight to the death, which he loses.

    William "Bill" Overbeck

Voiced by: Jim French (Left 4 Dead)

"I'm getting too old for this horseshit. I'm... not feeling too hot."

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasty_cools_5__coachocalypse_now_0_55_screenshot.png

Bill is a Vietnam War veteran who appears with Francis in Tasty Cools 5 and is portrayed as a senile old man with a strangely girlish personality. Bill is canonically the first person Coach interrogates to beat Nick's location out of him.

  • Ambiguously Gay: If his antics and dancing with Albert Wesker in the pool hall are any indications.
  • Killed Off for Real: Dies from a heart attack before he can reveal Nick's whereabouts, much to Coach's disappointment. It's also implied that he is eaten later.

    Rochelle

Voiced by: Rochelle Aytes (Left 4 Dead 2)

A woman from Cleveland who only appears in Tasty Cools 3.

    Coach

Voiced by: Chad L. Coleman (Left 4 Dead 2)

"I could go for a barbecue bacon burger, a large order of fries, an orange soda with no ice and a DEAD NICOLAS! ...heh, nah, I'm just playin'."

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasty_cools_7__bangin_like_a_barbecue_bacon_burger_14_46_screenshot.png

The primary antagonist of this series, as opposed to his Team Dad portrayal in the source material. Coach is a big man with a healthy appetite (in more ways than one) and a knack for reality-warping abilities, such as flight and strength. Sometime between 3 and 4, he has started a manhunt for Nick with the intent of capturing and eating him.

  • Affably Evil: Coach is not quite evil when he is not being threatened or interfered with. He is shown to be a polite, jolly and comical man, and even forming a bond with the zombies that he created with a stolen serum. At the end of Tasty Cools 9, after saving Nick from the Director's clones, Coach decides to let Nick live free when he bargains to put him out of his misery instead, ending the series as a whole.
  • Bald of Evil: His hair only grows on his face.
  • Big Bad: Surprisingly enough.
  • Big Eater: He really enjoys food, but mostly burgers from his usual order at the Burger Tank.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: A flashback in Tasty Cools 5 implies that the reason Coach is hunting Nick down is because of a past incident where Nick refused to share his donuts.
Coach: If you let your guard down for one minute... Heh.
[Coach moves away from the frame]
Nick: I don't trust that Coach.
  • Finishing Move: "Cheeseburger Apocalypse", based on Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu, which he uses on Zoey's sister.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Coach is certainly human... and by that, we mean he looks like one. Moreover, his Impending Doom P.O.V. shows a distorted purple overlay.
    • In Tasty Cools 8, he bleeds purple when he's shot and lets out a feral roar at Max Payne with an exaggerated facial expression. This is immediately after defeating the entire SWAT team, no less. And much later, Coach uses a T-800-style cliché to revive himself after a point-blank explosion, albeit it was simply a gag and doesn't last long.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Aside from eating fast food, he's also a cannibal. He has already succeeded in killing Rochelle this way.
  • Implacable Man / Invincible Villain: No matter the circumstances, Coach will never be truly killed. He has cheated death at least twice in the series, and the worst he has ever gotten so far is a broken tooth and blacking out after fighting and losing to Zoey's sister.
  • Improvised Weapon: Coach can attack by using donuts as throwing stars or a bola/flail.
  • Insistent Terminology: He demands his cultists to refer to Nick as "dinner" instead of "prisoner".
  • One-Man Army: In Tasty Cools 8, he can defeat large groups of SWAT members, then Director Berger's clones in the next video.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Coach wears a purple shirt, and his face often lights up in purple to indicate the imminent threat of death to Nick and other adversaries.
  • Religion of Evil: Formed a cult before the events of Tasty Cools 8 to assist in capturing Nick. He gives his members the power to kill innocent people For the Evulz as well.
  • Scary Black Man: It's Coach. Once he sets his sights on you, run or fight, you're dead either way.
  • Signature Laugh: He does laugh a lot, but his short, silly chuckle is more common.
  • The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: As demonstrated on Max Payne, Nick is Coach's primary target and he won't let anyone else take him down.
  • The Tooth Hurts: Zoey's sister drops a gravestone on Coach while he lifts it, costing him a single tooth for the rest of the series.
  • Villainous BSoD: The only royalty he gets while in prison is a plate of pasta. Understandably, Coach becomes so sad that the prisoners behind him try to comfort him.
  • Villainous Glutton: Eats a lot, then kills just as much. Is it any wonder that he sits on a throne made of cheeseburgers?
  • You Have Failed Me: Coach appears to do this on the priest when he tells Coach that his "dinner" (Nick) has escaped. Subverted when Coach reassures the cultist and merely stomps off, then instantly Double Subverted when Coach comes back to punch his head clean off.

    Max Payne

Voiced by: James McCaffrey (Max Payne)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasty_cools_7__bangin_like_a_barbecue_bacon_burger_4_42_screenshot_6.png
Max Payne is a former detective from the titular game series. Here, as a secondary antagonist, he is instead working as a SWAT member with a personal grudge against Nick for unknowingly being responsible for the mass murder of the police officers.
  • Heel–Face Turn: He learns that Coach is the real cop killer and calls an assault on him in Tasty Cools 8. Despite his SWAT team cornering and outnumbering Coach, they are easily defeated in a massive beatdown.
  • Private Eye Monologue: Max likes to narrate his life when he's not angered or in danger.

    Agent 47

Voiced by: David Bateson (Hitman)

The world's deadliest and most efficient Professional Killer with no direct affiliation with any group.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father: Is the father of Zoey and her sister, and was hunting down Nick under false belief that he abducted them.

    Director Berger

Voiced by: Seibmoz

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasty_cools_9__fights_viscera_action_7_7_screenshot.png
The mysterious corporate executive who runs a famous movie studio with his clones in Tasty Cools 9. Berger's clones are created through a biopic developed and stored in his database behind the scenes, and he is introduced looking to create one from Nick as a part of his offer, even if he declines. Despite his intents, the director is not affiliated with Coach, but he insisted on bribing the prison to release Coach, all to recreate Nick's past tragedies for profit.
  • Canon Immigrant: His very first appearance was in the "Mum's the Word" episodes of the Where's Dinner? series and later in LOUIS 2: Gordon the Stealer. Neither of the videos properly introduce him, only interpreted him as a corrupt government agent. He finally emerges from the shadows in Tasty Cools 9.
