    Rex Edwards, Ult. Uber Driver
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rex_portrait.png
"Now... what in th' hell can ah' do t' help out 'round here?"
Rex Edwards

Ultimate Uber Driver

Played by: Tom (Lil Tom 956#2875)
At first glance, one could assume that this man is some form of Ultimate Cowboy due to his outfit. Rex, who is in his mid-20s, is credited as the Ultimate Uber Driver. Throughout the game, Rex is consistently seen as an empathetic sort who wishes to help out just about everybody he can. Though he's primarily considered a himbo with a heart of gold, he seems to be a quick thinker and able to decipher tough hurdles in order to try to find a culprit in the harrowing trials.
  • What the Hell Is That Accent?: He speaks in a thick, stereotypical Cowboy accent. The RP being textual, this is mostly conveyed by dropping letters from words and adding apostrophes.
"...Hell, ah' think ah' got an idea, lookin' at the evidence... n' remembering reaaaaal far back."
Rex, trading his enunciation capacities for detective skills.
  • Cowboy: Rex is decked out in cowboy clothes and has a cool accent to boot. However, he's from Washington D.C., as he states usually. He wholly admits he's just a fan and not a REAL cowboy... but that doesn't stop him from living his cowboy dream.
  • Great Detective: Played with. Rex does not fit occupationally but does have other similarities to it, such as a shockingly bright analytical mind and an uncanny ability to narrow down suspects rather quickly. Given that Rex is a robot whose initial purpose was designed for military purposes, it would make sense that he is rather good at deciphering the mysteries of murder. He has The Watson in Samir, partially due to Rex talking to Samir at various points about his ideas, and has an Arch-Enemy with the resident 'villain', Léonie Lullèges. He regularly has to try talking her down from her 'evil' plans, going back and forth with her in the trials.]]
  • The Hero: He's quite the Hero. Though, he's not boastful about it. He's just trying to save as many people as he can.
  • Heroic BSoD: Rex is normally quite composed and able to handle most situations. At least, that's how he likes to think he could. Due to being used to the feeling of having the right culprit in mind, you could say he was taken aback when the killer in Chapter 4 was not Cali, the Butler, but was in fact her adopted daughter Trandfira. He quite literally stood there in pure shock for most of the end of that trial. And would you believe it, Rex was in shock once more when he had gotten the killer in Chapter 5 wrong. The suicide of Aijiro, Cali's adoptive son, which Rex had thought had been committed by Aidan due to the evidence being arranged in such a mischievous way. Ultimately subverted in Chapter 6 where Rex had broken his streak by once again pointing the accusatory finger at Aidan Oxley. Turns out this time he was right... but Rex had another moment of shock at the end of the trial, where it was revealed that Aidan was NOT The Mole, as he initially proposed with the accusation of him killing Aiko.
  • Hidden Badass: Rex, on first glance, is just a cowboy who likes driving cars. He doesn't really come off as imposing or menacing. Hell, his younger sister Lucy's taller than him. However, Rex is a surprisingly intelligent analyst, crucial to solving some of the mysteries of trials. He's also able to lift most of the cast with relative ease, and appears to know some form of close-quarters combat. Not to mention how good of a shot he is with a firearm. It's mainly due to being a robot, using lingering code left in his system. He's primarily used it for mundane purposes nowadays— tracking system being used as a replacement for a GPS, thermal vision to determine how the weather's going to be, etc.
  • His Own Worst Enemy: Rex has an internal struggle for a good portion of the game, that being his own humanity. He doesn't quite know what to call himself. He can't be human, because he is not flesh and blood... but he's not a robot, due to having free will. Human thoughts, but a robotic body. In the end, however, Rex comes to terms with himself at the end of Chapter 4 and reveals his robotic identity to the rest of the cast.
  • The Reveal: Rex, as stated in the previous tropes, is a robot. In fact, he was originally designed by the military as an automated soldier, but he mysteriously gained sentience and saved a young girl after one of the showcase robots had been hacked to attack the crowd. The family that he holds so dear is not by blood but is in fact composed of the very same girl he saved all those years ago, Lucy Edwards, and her father— Michael Edwards. Lucy got Rex into cowboys, and he got into being an Uber Driver as a pass-time after he dropped Lucy off to her college classes during her pursuit of a degree in Robotics.
  • Ridiculously Human Robots: Rex is a robot. This does not stop him from experiencing all facets of human emotion, understanding art and pop culture (he's a fan of Clint Eastwood), showing empathy, cracking jokes, speaking in a heavy cowboy accent… Generally speaking, he's indistinguishable from his human classmates aside from his appearance. It is unknown how exactly he gained sentience, but he's not questioning it. Yeehaw.

    Samir Hussein, Ult. Security Guard
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/samir_portrait.png
"If you need me to help you with something, do not hesitate to tell me."
Samir Hussein

Ultimate Security Guard

Played by: Kalee (half jojo#5459)
WIP idk what to add as description
  • Abusive Parents: Throughout the game this has been implied, but only occasionally given details about it in internal monologues, until Samir explains it later on. His father was abusive in him and his mother, while his mother is also an example of Parental Neglect.
  • Always Someone Better: His brother. Samir described him as the perfect person, and there was nothing he didn't know how to do. This also leads to Big Brother Worship.
  • Apologises a Lot: He even apologises for apologising.
  • Be Yourself: He struggles until the chapter 6, when he just wants to be himself, and not using his Ultimate Talent. Also connects with "I Just Want to Be Normal", for the same reason. He's tired of being the best because he doesn't feel that way.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's gentle, polite and nice, but when enraged, he can act violently, yell, and insult. He's also quite scary in this state because he's strong.
  • Bruiser with a Soft Center: Samir is big, muscular, and his face always looks like he's upset. He's someone who imposes, but he's really a very sweet person. And his interests are even more so, when you see his obsession with Mecha or dogs.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Blue hair and blue eyes.
  • Fanboy: Despite his calm personality, Samir has been shown to be a weeb, especially when it comes to Mechas. When he talks about it, he becomes a Motor Mouth.
  • Good Is Not Soft: He always cares about his friends, but when someone is a criminal, it is very difficult to have his pity, and he will probably hate them unconditionally. Later he learned to forgive.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: He likes dogs and wants to have one, but he thinks about the suffering of the poor animal if he had to leave it alone in an apartment because of all the work he has.
  • Hunk: His body fits perfectly here.
  • My Sibling Will Live Through Me: Since his childhood, he always tried to imitate his brother and be like him. And when his brother died, his father did nothing but compare him and demanded all his brother's perfect achievements. To this day, Samir was trying to be someone like his brother and not be himself.
  • Nice Guy: He's kind, gentle, and polite.
  • Shrinking Violet: The male version of it. He's shy, quiet, and usually someone who goes unnoticed.
  • Socially Awkward Hero: Samir always has trouble in social situations, not understanding things unless they are said directly to him, for example. But his strength and training contrast, especially when he rescued Theodore and Cali in the Chapter 4 event, destroying hostile animatronics.
  • Successful Sibling Syndrome: Samir always said that his brother was perfect in everything: sports, grades, friendships, and even looks, while he was always average at everything.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: According to Samir, his father's approval is the only thing missing for him to feel that his life is complete. He wants to be better to make him proud.

"I disagree. If I were an idiot, I wouldn't have been able to build my way up to this result."
Aidan Oxley

Ultimate Arachnologist

Played by: Nico (nico ♢#1395)
WIP!

  • The Ace: Aidan is talented in a variety of fields, though this is often obscured by the act he puts up. Both academically and socially, he excels with ease.
  • Apparently Powerless Puppetmaster: It’s on purpose that Aidan’s facade is that of a clumsy laughing stock, because it allows him to get away with his true schemes. By playing the part of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold, he’s able to manipulate those around him into doubting his true capabilities, and therefore underestimating him.
  • Ambition Is Evil: In this case, Aidan's ambition is two-fold: ensure his crush loves him back, and get his revenge on various people. Especially the latter manifests in him ruthlessly climbing the social ladder.
  • Animal Motifs: Aidan’s design has clear motifs of spiders, in his hair resembling mandibles, his eight eyes and eight limbs considering his jacket-cape, his fangs, and the spider pattern on his shirt. He also acts similarly to a spider, weaving a web of deceit in order to trap everyone around him and get precisely what he wants from them.
  • A Sinister Clue: He's left-handed and acts like a supervillain, as well as being a de-facto traitor in the cast.
  • Authority in Name Only: Until he starts to question the 'supervillain' act for good, Aidan would often refer to himself as the 'future king of the world', calling his friends 'peons' and anybody else 'peasants' or 'future peons'. Subverted, as although he acts powerless beyond this point, his deals with the hosts often put him at an advantage.
  • Badass Cape: Usually, Aidan will wear his jacket tied around his torso to create a cape. He eventually ties his jacket around his waist instead, as he rids of his supervillain outfit.
  • Bait the Dog: A large part of Aidan's scheme is to gradually make himself appear more likable and genuine as the game continues, up until his trial where he drops the pretence entirely and reveals himself as to be a traitor.
  • Beneath the Mask: Zigzagged. Initially, Aidan is a supervillain who always seems to fall short of doing anything… well, actually villainous. It turns out that, beneath that mask, he actually has a heart of gold. However, this too is a mask; it’s only at the end of his story that he reveals himelf as The Mole.
  • Beyond Redemption: Even in his final moments, after having his true feelings rebutted by his opponents, he chooses to mock them with a cryptic clue about the true nature of their world.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Zigzagged. Aidan acts incredibly incapable in his villainous actions for most of the game, eventually deciding to do away with them, while he’s even more of a threat than he builds himself up to be. He's still ultimately put in his place by the hosts, showing that he wasn't as victorious as he thought himself to be.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Aidan harbors far more spite than what he shows on the surface, and he tries his best not to show it to those out of the loop, instead presenting a more innocent and naïve image.
  • Broken Ace: Aidan is an incredibly capable person, as aforementioned. However, his abilities are heavily counteracted by his spite and inability to process his trauma, leading him to act on his own and end up sealing his own fate in the killing game.
  • Camp: The way that Aidan carries himself is flamboyant and energetic, outside of the few fleeting moments where he feels downtrodden or is otherwise consumed by emotion.
  • The Chessmaster: Aidan has a plan from the very start of the game to kill and get back to Allister, and he always attempts to optimise his plays in order to have things go exactly how he wishes. Often, this involves him acting as an Opportunistic Bastard in order to sate the conditions of the host's deals. This varies between him vandalising the gallery in order to build unease and place a (literal) target on Aijiro, putting a target on his own back to later manipulate Leonardo as the wolf, creating multiple scenarios to frame Cali as the masked wolf, taking advantage of Léonie's eagerness to be a villain to frame Cali and craft a murder case, and more, all while hiding his identity and doing no more than sending some messages. Maybe stealing a hand, too.
  • Patient Childhood Love Interest: Aidan has a crush on his childhood friend, Allister, and he does a lot of things to try and woo him. This ends up manifesting as one of the main motives for his actions, as he believes only himself and Allister are important, everybody else be damned.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: The only person Aidan is loyal to is himself and his love for Allister. He’ll happily frame other people, even his closest friends such as Elise, in order to make sure that he can get what he wants. In the killing game, he treats everybody as Unwitting Pawns to similar ends.
  • Comforting the Widow: After making it appear as if Elise had betrayed him and Allister, he’s there to comfort him at his lowest points, intending to make their connection stronger instead. He does this again with Leonardo after Carnelian's murder, this time with the intention to manipulate him into unreciprocated loyalty.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Outside of one interaction with Trandafira where he compares her royalty to his parent's noble status, and some private messages with Dahlia where he expresses his apathy to family, Aidan neglects to discuss his past, given how personal it is and how it directly leads to his Start of Darkness. Suffice it to say, however, that his attachment to Allister and misanthropy stem from less than sunshine and rainbows.
  • Defiant to the End: Even once he’s voted as Aiko’s killer, he refuses to back down on his beliefs, and spites all of the remaining participants.

    Léonie Lullèges, Ult. Voice Actress
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leonie_portrait.png
Léonie Lullèges

Ultimate Voice Actress

Played by: Mediku (𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐤𝐮 ╋ 𝐄𝐭𝐳𝐚𝐧𝐚#7726)
Resident nerd and fandom gremlin of the group, originating from Belgium, Léonie is hyper-enthusiastic, loud, cringe-worthy and irritating to be around. Don't let the way she dresses fool you; she is a complete and utter buffoon. A successful and respected voice actress, she is obsessed with a children's cartoon called Jamie's Day-to-Day, and the way she speaks/interacts with others is clearly influenced by all the fiction she consumes. She doesn't seem to grasp the real danger of situations- Her disconnect from reality ranges from annoying to terrifying.

Saying Léonie has trouble distinguishing fiction from reality is an understatement. She is utterly incapable of grasping the reality of situations, to the point where she has the same emotional reaction to people as she does to fictional characters. The killing game exhilarates her; She sees it as a show (that she's convinced an audience is watching) and puts on a villain persona in an attempt to make "the plot" more interesting and herself more important. This eventually leads her to commit murder in Chapter 4, killing Hope and exploiting a loophole in the rules to get away with it unscathed. Her Sanity Slippage culminates in Chapter 5, where she attempts to take over the killing game by blowing up Ester and Adam with a bomb. That plan doesn't work out, and she gets executed for breaking the rules.

  • Nerd Glasses: She sports those, and is a MASSIVE Nerd, of the "Tumblr/fandom" variety. She's also a furry.
  • Never Grew Up: Part of her backstory.
  • Manchild: From her obsession with children's media to her delusions of grandeur to her emotional immaturity, Léonie fits this to a T. Aiko, an actual child, even refers to her as "the adult baby".
  • Beware the Silly Ones: For all her bravado, she is just a nerdy, fangirling out of touch furry womanchild. It's all fun and games until a teenager gets shot in the neck.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Seeing the world through the lens of fiction, Léonie only has a superficial grasp on empathy and morality. The way she acts is instead regulated by entertainment value. She's no sadist: Death and suffering don't satisfy her any more than success and happiness- She just craves excitement.
  • Cannot Tell Fiction from Reality: Her defining Fatal Flaw, and the explanation behind most of her actions. It reaches its horrifying extreme when she tries to cement her "role in the plot" with murder. However, it's made pretty clear that Léonie has lost contact with reality long before the events of the RP- The killing game simply allowed her to live out her fantasies.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: She outright brands herself as the "Villain of the killing game" from the First Trial onwards.
  • Cheshire Cat Grin: Her default expression. She's quite happy and excitable.
  • Chuunibyou: Her villain persona. It's obviously fake.
"Nobody likes the bullshit you do— you're not a villain, you're a fucking disappointment!"
Rex, calling out Léonie in Trial 4
  • Eviler than Thou: Ester and Adam do this to her in chapter 4 after she offers to become traitor, complete with a "The Reason You Suck" Speech and hysterical laughter. Flabbergasted and Humiliated, Léonie goes on to try and prove them wrong.
  • Affably Evil: Downplayed. While Léonie clearly lacks empathy, she is not completely devoid of it and will, though viewing them like fictional characters, have affection for them. She takes an interest in others and is always open to friendly conversation. Even stranger, she does not dislike anyone in the cast besides Ester and Adam. And that's only after they humiliate her in chapter 4.
  • Arch-Enemy: Casts herself as this in opposition to Aijiro's The Hero. The feeling isn't mutual- He just seems himself as a normal guy, and sees her as a potentially dangerous insane person.
  • Fangirl: Jamie's day-to-day is a run-of-the-mill, boring children's show involving cutesy talking animal characters going on harmless adventures and teaching morals to the youngins. It is very clearly intended for children under 10, but that doesn't stop Léonie from reading way too deep into it. She will tell everyone who will listen about how profound and well written and all ages it actually is, how it's secretely a Mature Animal StoryShe's deluding herself, of course.
  • Genki Girl: Scarily so.
"With this, the motives, the talent labs, the fact that they were able to lure us here… It's obvious that they're completely inside our heads!! Isn't that totally messed up and crazy??"
Despite what she was saying, Léonie didn't sound offended in the slightest. in fact, judging from the tone of her voice and her unsufferable grin, it was more akin to… Excitement? like she was impressed, or something.
Excerpt from the RP
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: She has a tattered plush keychain of her favorite character, Noah, that she always carries in her pockets and occasionally talks to.
  • A God Am I: She fashions herself a villain role because she wants to be an important "character" in the killing game. Not content with simply being a participant anymore, she wants to become traitor then Mastermind.
  • Hidden Depths: It's implied Léonie hates parties, alcohol, and the kind of people who hang out there because she's utterly deprived of those experiences, instead more used to watching cartoons in her bedroom. This is for sure the origin of the wedge between her and her old friends, which made her abandon them altogether.
  • Karma Houdini: She does not get executed despite being immediately found out as Hope's Murderer.
Averted: She eventually does get her comeuppance when she gets executed one chapter later. It's for an unrelated matter however.
"And yet, as per usual for Léonie… Within that Cringe, something unsettling lay dormant, noticeable through the twinkle of her grey eyes."
Excerpt from the RP
  • Nightmare Fuel Coloring Book: Sort of. The notebook she leaves behind after her death is adorned with a cutesy lion sticker Yoshiaki and Leonardo made for her. It's handwritten with colorful pens, has little doodles in the margins, a childish happy tone complete with emoticons… and talks about what she will do once she's taken over the role Mastermind, i.e the "storylines" and/or deaths she wants to subject her fellow hostages to.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: Léonie's attention-seeking attempts at villainry are laughable, unsuccessful, and do little but annoy others throughout the killing game. Until she murders Hope, gets away with it, then attempts to set off a bomb in the lobby. Thankfully that last one fails and she gets her comeuppance.
  • Pet the Dog: She had a few wholesome interactions with Alexandria before she went fully cuckoo, and her cheering up Samir in chapter 4, despite still being an extension of her worldview, had a very sweet side.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: Downplayed. She's not downright Ax-Crazy, but she does lack empathy on some level and is willing to kill, traumatize and otherwise hurt others for the sake of her fantasies.
  • Reel Torture: Does this to Alexandria in Chapter 1 by inviting her for a night of binge-watching Jamie's day-to-day and listening to her talk about her headcanons on the former. It's as tedious as it sounds.
"Right! Lukas is a very interesting character because the writers choose to purposefully hide most of his internal processes from the audience. As you probably noticed, the narrator doesn't spell out his feelings like he does for the other characters. That, coupled with his small amount of screentime, makes his role in the story very easy to misinterpret, as you have to dig deeper and piece together who he is. Even if you weren't interested in him, he recontextualizes parts of Jamie's story arc for the first 4 seasons of the show so it's good to keep him in mind. Also-"
Léonie, boring Alexandria to death. This is merely an excerpt.
  • Sanity Slippage: As time goes on, she becomes more and more self-centered and willing to do harm for the sake of the entertainment value.
  • Shipper on Deck: She is this to Alexandria and Dahlia. One of the many reasons they have to despise her.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Subverted. She wears glasses, but is arguably the least intelligent person in the cast. Her lack of foresight and childish preconceptions routinely foil her plans.
""I-I can't believe you thought that j-just because you planted this at night we wouldn't know a-about it!"
Ester, reacting to Léonie's assassination attempt via bomb.
  • Stalker without a Crush: To Alexandria and Dahlia; she's very vocal about it. They are "her favorite characters", and roots for their success even more than she does the others. Of course, she still torments them and none of her affection translates into actual human empathy.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: The look she gives when she is fascinated by what she's watching, so much that she just wants to shut up and enjoy it. Sometimes described as "Hungry Eyes" feeding on what's before them. Dahlia gets them a lot.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Most openly so, along with Aidan.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Childish ones, at that. She is prone to throwing temper tantrums when her plans fail. This happens in chapter 2, when Rex and Leonardo refuse to share her secret to everyone during Trandafira's tea party; then in chapter 4, when the Goats turn down her offer to become traitor and mock her in front of everyone; then finally in chapter 5, when her bomb doesn't go off and the two publically humiliate her again. The chapter 4 incident is arguably a big part of her motive for murdering Hope…
  • Voice Changeling: Her skills as Ultimate VA border on this. She uses vocal mimicry for various purposes.
  • Yaoi Fangirl: She loves the characters from Jamies's day-to-day. Particularly Noah, a cute and mischievous goat character that is the friend and neighbor of the titular Jamie, a rabbit. She ships the two, and is implied to have written many fanfics. Including Self-Insert Fic!
  • You Monster!: She gets this reaction a lot, along with Big "SHUT UP!".
"Shut UP Léonie!!! This isn't a game! This isn't fun! Grief isn't something to play around with!"
"Fuck off. This isn't something you can capitalize off of for attention. I don't know if this is some mad fucking grasp for power or what but you aren't Getting it. So Shut. Up."
Theodore, reacting to Léonie's Evil Gloating in Trial 4 after admitting to Killing Hope
