Hosts

    Circle
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/circlenew.png
Voiced by: Sacri
A black-and-white circle drawing who hosts the show.
  • Blank White Void: He sends Barry to the one inside him and we later find out this is not the first time he had done this as there are enough objects from various Object Shows that Circle screwed over to form their own Object Camp.
  • Depraved Kids' Show Host: He runs a Sadist Show where at least one contestant dies per episode despite well-knowing Square cannot recover them anymore and severely punishing contestants for any perceived slights (Such as Cinnamon ceasing to be and Barry and several others being banished to a Blank White Void). He then ditches them all together once Calculatory comes back and it's later revealed this is not his first rodeo since he did this to countless other contestants in previous shows before OBS, many of whom share Barry's fate.
  • Game Show Host: An extremely sadistic one for Calculated Battlegrounds Again and the early episodes of Obsolete Battle Show.
  • Hostile Show Takeover: Circle is the real reason why Calculatory didn't host Calculated Battlegrounds Again and the first four episodes of OBS as he forcibly became host by pushing Calculatory into the bottomless pit and left him for dead.
  • Living Polyhedron: A sentient circle with limbs and a face.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Once the Calculatory comes back from the bottomless pit, Circle immediately ditches OBS altogether with Square to escape the consequences of taking over the show and the contestants dying without a way of recovering. The residents in the Blank White Void implied he pulls this maneuver on multiple Object Shows with no intent of ever coming back.

    Square
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/squarenew.png
Voiced by: Sacri
A black-and-white square drawing who’s the cohost of the show.
  • The Ditz: He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed to say the least.
Square: [For the Halloween challenge] "Ten out of ten, I love Christmas!"
  • Death Is Cheap: His ability to revive contestants no matter how many times they die is highly sought-after since it makes him a walking recovery center. However, the cast's over-reliance on his ability leads to them not bothering to build actual recovery centers and dying permanently when Square forgets how to recover.
  • Forgot About His Powers: In between Calculated Battlegrounds Again and Obsolete Battle Show, Square forgets how to recover people, meaning that death is irreversible.
  • Living Polyhedron: His species is an anthropomorphic square with a face and limbs.

    Calculatory
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/calculatoryobs4.png
See him in previous state
Voiced by: Sacri
A calculator and the original host for the show.
  • Game Show Host: The original host which is why the first two seasons went under the name of Calculated Battlegrounds.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After coldly abandoning his contestants after killing some of them, Happy Star brutally dismembered him for good. What's left of him is drifting endlessly in the vacuum of space.
  • Put on the Bus: The reason why he never showed up for Calculated Battlegrounds Again and the first four episodes of OBS was because Circle performed a Hostile Show Takeover on him.
  • Vocal Evolution: Calculatory used to have Sacri's normal voice in the first two seasons but the reboot puts a heavyily jarring robotic filter over it.

Contestants

    Ball
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ballnew_4.png
Rank: TBA
Team: The Mean Beans
Eliminated by: N/A
Voiced by: Snee, Sacri (Episode 3)
A blue ball who seemingly nobody is able to remember.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Inverted. Despite being a debuter in Calculated Battlegrounds Again two years ago, almost nobody can remember him like he didn't exist until now which Ball finds ridiculous and thinks they are purposely ignoring him.

    Barry
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/barrynew2021.png
Rank: 19th
Team: The Mean Beans
Eliminated by: Dying (Inside a collasping void)
Voiced by: Sacri
A bar of silver metal. He’s accused of rigging the votes in episode 2 and placed in a Blank White Void before Circle realizes he accidentally didn't put Barry up for voting. Barry becomes excused from the competition indefinitely until his untimely death.
  • A Death in the Limelight: He gets a short with him as the focus called “this is what happened to barry after obs 3.” It ends with him and everyone else in Circle’s void dying due to it collapsing on itself after Circle’s death.
  • A Lizard Named "Liz": His name is just "Bar" attached to a "-ry" suffix.
  • Blank White Void: Banished to one, although it’s revealed that it isn't all that blank once he finds another inhabitant, Tree Trunk, who convinces Barry to participate in his show, "Object Awesome Kamp". A later video shows he’s not the only one who got trapped in the void and has been inside Circle all along until Happy Star puts an end to it.
  • Put on the Bus: Barry is indefinitely excused from the competition episode 2 onwards. All because of Circle's mistake of not putting him up for voting. Sacri has stated he isn't out because of a technicality of not being dead or officially eliminated, alas...
    • Bus Crash: He's finally eliminated when the Blank White Void collapses in on itself once Circle (Where the void had resided the entire time) dies.

    Baseball Bat
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/baseballbatnew.png
Rank: 28th (Last)
Team: N/A
Eliminated via: Dying (Eaten by dinosaurs)
Voiced by: Sacri, SnowyPackel
A wooden baseball bat. The first contestant to permanently die (and very early on) so her personality is virtually unknown.
  • Sacrificial Lamb: Her death firmly establishes that if the contestants die, they are Killed Off for Real as there's no working recovery centers and Square completely forgets how to recover them.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Doesn’t last two minutes into the first episode and combined with the fact she's the first OBS newbie with no option of recovery, Baseball Bat might as well be Cinnamon.

    Blender
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blender_pose.png
See him with his hat
Rank: TBA
Team: DEATH (Episode 1-3), Coal Is Awesome (Episode 4-onwards)

Voiced by: Cone_lol
An intelligent Blender icon.
  • Catchphrase: "I have a hypothesis!"
  • Cyclops: Blender's singular eye fills the hole of his ok sign body.
  • The Smart Guy: Shares the role with his best friend Pill Bottle. Between them, he is usually the more intelligent of the duo as Blender comes up with plans (Though that doesn't always work).

    Bowl
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bowlnew2021.png
See her from episode 4 onwards
Rank: TBA

A porcelain bowl half-blinded from her crack. She has a crush on Bowler in Calculated Battleground.

Rank: TBA
Team: The Mean Beans (Episode 1-3), Billy (Episode 4-onwards)

Voiced by: Sacri
A bowler hat.
  • Living Hat: A fancy bowler hat with limb, a face and sentience.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: He used to have a rocky relationship with Bowl in the previous season but doesn't have this problem now.

    Buzzery

A diamond ace card. Describing him as overdramatic would be an Understatement.
  • Amusing Injuries: Gets bent at a weird angle in episode 3 and remains this way until his elimination.
  • Drama King: Constantly overexaggerates everything, expecting the worse in eliminations and praising his team's efforts no matter how lackluster to ludicrous degrees.

    Cinnamon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cinnamon_2_4.png
Rank: 24th
Team: DEATH
Eliminated via: Erased from Existence
Voiced by: Melody
A cinnamon spice bottle.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Cinnamon's passing comment about Circle's impatience (which he himself admits) results in her disappearing from all of time and history.
  • Un-person: Circle wipes Cinnamon from all of the space-time continua and doubles down on ensuring nobody will ever remember her by erasing and rewriting the contestants' memories. The official wiki has fun with this by addressing her as [REDACTED] and pretending that she never existed in the first place (One particular example stating there were twenty-seven contestants competing in OBS as opposed to twenty-eight).

    Coal

    Cup

Rank: TBA
Team: DEATH (Episode 1-4), Billy (Episode 5-onwards)
Eliminated via: N/A
Voiced by: BluVamp (Episode 1-4), Sacri (Episode 5-onwards)
A glass cup. Logical and considerate in nature but is universally despised by almost everyone for his perceived boring and blandness. Alas, Cup knows he can't change anyone's opinion about him...
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Cup doesn’t like how everyone treats him poorly and wishes for some respect. One orange juice refill proves this detrimental as his newfound popularity causes his teammates to be incredibly distracted from the challenge.
  • Broken Faceplate: Coal threw a rock at him in episode 6 which left a small crack around his left eye on par of being made of glass.
  • Easy Come, Easy Go: Even though everyone starts to adore him for his orange juice, he has to empty it out to make his team be distracted and fail the challenge.
  • Informed Flaw: Everyone hates Cup because of his blandness but there is absolutely nothing wrong with him to harbor such hatred so this is chalked up to mob mentality. In fact, he does have some complexity to him regarding his treatment and interactions with others who give him a chance.
  • Power-Up Food: A variation where the liquid inside him determines the abilities and even personality traits he previously didn't have. He quickly turns back to normal once it spills out.
    • Orange juice - Immense popularity boost. Although he didn't get charismatic, Cup received the adoration of almost everyone after some convincing. However, the boost becomes to the point of hindrance since everyone, especially his teammates, is too distracted to focus on the challenge from superficially admiring him which led to Cup emptying himself out.
    • Water - Super-Speed and Flight. When flung into a freshwater lake, Cup becomes hyper-energetic, jittery and constantly running around in circles. Once he trips, he is distraught at losing his water since he seemed to enjoy it.

    Goldfish

A goldfish cracker filled with so much ennui that it borders on clinical depression.
  • Same Character, But Different: Brain-damaged Goldfish acts completely opposite to his morose self. Instead of being depressed, he’s much more child-like and cheerful.
  • Took a Level in Dumbass: Because Pill Bottle Jr threw OBJ at full force, Goldfish's head caved in and gave him brain damage. He now has the mentality of a five-year-old or less but is perpetually cheerful as a result.

    H

    Headphones

A pair of headphones.
  • Jerkass: The standard mean character that gets out first due to viewer voting and she knows it.
  • Take That, Audience!: Is Genre Savvy enough to know her attitude would not sit well with the show's demographic.
Headphones: "Oh great, the little children voted the mean character off. Typical."

    House

A large house.
  • The Big Guy: He was the second-largest contestant before taking the top position from Iceberg after he melted to a water droplet.
  • Broken Face Plate: Had one of his windows broken for the Halloween costume challenge.
  • Character Catchphrase: “Whatever…”
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: When he sees Moon glitching out, text that says “NOT CANON” flashes on screen for a moment before he forgets what just happened.

    Iceberg (Droplet)

    Lava Lamp

See her from episode 3 onwards
Rank: TBA
Team: The Mean Beans
Eliminated via: N/A
Voiced by: Sacri
A blue (later red) lava lamp
  • Alliterative Name: Two "L"s for Lava Lamp.
  • Broken Faceplate: Half her face and right eye crack off as well as all her fluid draining out after landing on a rock, leaving her in a perpetually woozy state.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Oreo is supposed to be eliminated upon receiving the most votes in episode 5 but Calculatory sees the state Lava Lamp is in and immediately sends her to the hospital, effectively removing her from the competition until she returns.
  • Playing with Fire: After she returns from the hospital, she can set things on fire by touching them and becomes very hot to the touch.
  • Took a Level in Dumbass: After all her fluid drained out of her body in episode 3, she becomes disoriented and incoherent at forming thoughts of her own such that she couldn't compete properly anymore. However, she turns back to normal lucid state with a trip to the hospital.

    Moon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/moonnew.png
Rank: TBA
Team: DEATH
Eliminated via: N/A
Voiced by: Sacri
A not-drawn-to-scale moon. He’s the sign of a video being made by the hacker.
  • Flight: Carried forward from Calculated Battlegrounds Again, Moon uses his ability to aid DEATH in challenges and is also frequently seen hovering off the ground.
  • Weird Moon: He's sentient and way smaller than the actual moon.

    Notebook
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/notebooknew.png
Rank: 20th
Team: DEATH
Eliminated via: Most Votes
Voiced by: Sacri
A grey spiral notebook.
  • Leader Wannabe: Manages to trick his team into becoming the new leader in "The Dark Lord Returns" despite nobody asking or wanting him to. His rule was short-lived when his team was put up for elimination in the same episode and he received the most votes in the next.

    OBJ

Rank: 18th
Team: The Mean Beans (Episode 1-3), Billy (Episode 4-onwards)

A white block reading the word "OBJ"
  • The Faceless: He has no face to speak of, although he can still talk.
  • No Sense of Direction: When he goes to find Buzzery in the very nearby trees, he gets lost and has no idea where he went.

    Oreo

See him as of current
Rank: TBA
Team: The Mean Beans
Eliminated via: N/A
Voiced by: Polysided (Episode 1-3), Sacri (Episode 4-onwards)
A sandwich cookie whose damages sustained throughout OBS make him snippy, paranoid and pessimistic.
  • An Arm and a Leg: He loses the right side of his body, including the arm, when his team gets flung into the woods.
  • Blind Without 'Em: Falling face-first on the ground in "The Dark Lord Returns" causes serious vision impairment from the crack he sustained. He now needs a pair glasses if he doesn't want to keep seeing double and everything blurry.
  • Gender Flip: Oreo is a girl for the first 3 episodes of Calculated Battlegrounds before being changed to a guy for the rest of the series due to bad writing.
  • Took a Level in Cynic: After the competition leaves him without an arm, a huge crack on his face and needing glasses from said crack, Oreo becomes incredibly fed-up and constantly complains about his continuous injuries.

    Palm Tree
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/palm_tree.png
Rank: TBA

A palm tree who always goes along with others.
  • Yes-Man: Has no opinion of their own since they always bend it to follow what the majority says.

    Parallelogram

Rank: TBA
Team: The Mean Beans (Episode 1-3), Billy (Episode 4-onwards)
Eliminated via: N/A
Voiced by: Sacri
A blue parallelogram and supposedly the host of Shape World.
  • All Just a Dream: The Shape World reboot is all something he made up in his head and was talking to himself the whole time. While he states he's over it, Parallelogram would keep going back to Shape World as a form of escapism.
  • Cargo Cult: He becomes engrossed in a yellow hexagon named Gerald to the point he drags Billy into following Gerald by the Couch-esque way of doing absolutely nothing. This infuriates Buzzery to no end as it means her team has a higher chance of losing and had no choice but to smash Gerald into pieces so they can get the challenges done.
  • Companion Cube: Gerald the inanimate yellow hexagon was his until Buzzery smashed it in frustration for letting the shape consume the team to the point of losing the challenge. Unfortunately, Gerald was his only coping mechanism and becomes unable to accept reality once more, retreating further into the depths of his mind so he can continue Shape World.
  • Transplant: He was the host of Shape World and Sacri's interpretation of its reboot before the others snapped him back to reality to currently compete in Obsolete Battle Show as a contestant.

    Pill Bottle

An orange prescription pill bottle.
  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: In episode two, Pill Bottle goes up to Blender telling how they're both smart and have similar interests. Most savvy viewers would immediately assume an alliance but instead, Pill Bottle wants a collaboration to make an invention both of them can profit off.
  • Cool Shades: Dons a pair with gold chains after becoming rich beyond imagination.
  • The Smart Guy: Shares the role with Blender.

    Pill Bottle Jr.

Rank: TBA
Team: DEATH (Episode 1-3), Coal Is Awesome (Episode 4-onwards)
Eliminated via: N/A
Voiced by: Sacri
A miniature and demonic version of Pill Bottle. He was created after Pill Bottle tried to make a recovery machine.
  • Badass Fingersnap: Does this to activate his powers. It became a telltale sign of Pill Bottle Jr.'s powers weakening from episode 6 when nothing happens after snapping.
  • Hate Plague: It's implied he caused Blender and Pill Bottle to irrationally hate each other for no reason until his powers disappear.
  • Lilliputians: He looks like a shrunken-down Pill Bottle even though they aren't related to each other and by far the tiniest of the cast as Iceberg (then House) is the largest.
  • Teleportation: His main mode of moving around which Team C.I.A used to their advantage for one challenge.
