Tank Heroes

    Akai, Panda Warrior

    Atlas, Ocean Gladiator

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_5397.jpeg
The ocean is just not our home, it is who we are.
The Abysmal Sea is a deadly no-frills zone where all water creatures struggle to live and abandoned civilizations stay put. Atlas himself resides beneath the Abysmal Sea, but he manages to break free from his underwater dwelling. With his Mecha Sentry merging into his control core (made by the Iceland Golems of the Northern Vale), his body unified itself. Since then, Atlas has been exploring civilizations and is destined to get the secret treasure in the sea of Northern Vale that can change the ecology of an ocean.

Atlas is a Tank/Support hero that can use his Mecha Sentry to escape and force enemies with his Fatal Links for initiation purposes.

  • His passive is Frigid Breath. Whenever he casts a skill, he generates Frigid Breath around him for five seconds. Enemies who are near Atlas have reduced attack/movement speed until they are frozen for half a second. He also gains extra physical/magical defense when this occurs.
  • His first skill is Annihilate. Atlas smashes the ground and causes 3 explosions. Using this with his Mecha Sentry will allow himself and his Mecha to cast this skill simultaneously.
  • His second skill is Perfect Match. He instantly becomes immune to slow effects and enters an Ejected State, with his Mecha Sentry following the pilot at an increasing speed. Once the two meet, Atlas will return to the Mecha and stuns enemies for one second.
  • His ultimate is Fatal Links. Atlas hurls chains and channels his skill as enemies get chained and slown down. If used again, Atlas will drag all of his targets and plunk them down in a designated location. Using this with Mecha Sentry will replace the stun effect from the second skill with a slow effect.

  • An Ice Person: Despite being an undersea-based hero, Atlas dabbles in ice manipulation, especially with his passive. Most likely because he hails from the sea of a very cold region (Northern Vale)
  • Chain Pain: Mostly for his ultimate to link nearby enemies to one designated location.
  • Cranium Chase: As with the case of his Ejected State for Perfect Match.
  • Stone Wall: Given as a Tank, he has middling offensive points. However, he's one of the tougher heroes to kill and players will want to avoid being approached by Atlas, unless they want to get stuck in ice, chained together with his ultimate and then get a mass-piledriver together to a vulnerable location.
  • Super Not-Drowning Skills: Despite the Abysmal Sea being extremely dangerous to everyone else, Atlas manages to escape out of the hole. Before that, he manages to live there for a while.
  • Unique Enemy: Although not explicitly mentioned in the main Lore, his side-story (named Fighters on the Stormy Sea) adds Bane as one of his enemies.

    Barats, Dino Rider

    Baxia, Mystic Tortoise
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_baxia.png
"Rocks need no protection from the rain."
Voiced by: Yuu Wakabayashi (Japanese)
One of the original students of the Great Dragon of Cadia Riverlands. The towering Baxia was the assigned guardian of the realm. He used to train with a certain man named Yu Zhong, who turned out to be the reincarnation of the Great Dragon's nemesis, the Black Dragon. Regardless, Baxia respected him and listened as Yu Zhong told him about his ambition to travel the Land of Dawn beyond the Cadia Riverlands. Baxia occasionally helped him sneak away from the Riverlands and getting scolded for it. One day, Yu Zhong returned as a changed, sinister man. His differing philosophies with the Great Dragon peaked that he attacked his teacher. Baxia defended his master and in an ensuing fight, Baxia prevailed as he knocked Yu Zhong off the cliff. He saw his closest friend plummet to his apparent death.

Years later, Baxia continues his duty as the guardian, assisted with Great Dragon's chosen successor Zilong. During the raid of the Dragon Altar by the assassin's group Finch, Baxia hears distressing news: Yu Zhong survived their previous fight and is the mastermind of the raid.

Baxia is a Tank/Support hero who uses his twin shields and overwhelming toughness to break down the enemy, leaving them defenseless and unable to regain their lost health.
  • His passive is Baxia Mark. Baxia permanently reduces damages that he receives by a flat number. In the same time, the enemies hit by Baxia's skills will suffer greater shield damage and reduction in HP regeneration.
  • His first skill is Baxia-Shield Unity. Baxia joins his two shields together, forming a rolling ball that accelerates his speed over time. If he crashes into an enemy unit, he stuns the crashing target while dealing damage and knocking nearby enemies back. During the acceleration phase, Baxia can recast this skill to jump and bypass obstacles. If he crashes into an enemy while jumping, the damage, stun, and knockback effects are slightly greater.
  • His second skill is Shield of Spirit. Baxia launches his shield as a projectile, dealing damage to everyone in its path, but stopping if it hits an enemy hero or jungle creep. The enemy hero/jungle creep will be marked with a Baxia Mark and slowed. If it hits an enemy hero or jungle creep, Baxia can recast this skill after a very short cooldown (but if he misses, the cooldown will be longer by default).
  • His ultimate is Tortoise's Puissance. Baxia puts his shield forward and gains a boost of speed. Meanwhile, he leaves trails of lava in the path he walks, damaging and slowing enemies who walk there. During this duration, the damage reduction effect from Baxia Mark is greatly increased.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Despite being classified as human, Baxia has blue-cyan skin color. No one has any idea why, since everyone else in Cadia Riverlands have normal skin color.
  • Anti-Regeneration: Baxia's Baxia Mark reduces enemies' shields and healing. This can stack with another healing/shield reduction item like Necklace of Durance, Sea Halberd, or Dominance Ice, amplifying its effect. For this reason, Baxia is a hard counter for heroes who depend a lot on self-regeneration (like Alucard).
  • The Big Guy: The token towering guy of the Oriental Fighters, and also the toughest.
  • The Four Gods: He represents the Black Tortoise/Xuanwu/Genbu within the Oriental Fighters, since Baxia is the biggest fighter and he wields something that can represent a tough tortoise shell. Also, his title is also a giveaway.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: He dual wields two giant shields with spikes on their edges. He can join them together into a giant rolling ball with him at the center.
  • Stone Wall: As befitting of tanks, Baxia is incredibly tough to take down, and he's surprisingly quite nimble. But he's no Lightning Bruiser, as he cannot dish out great damage in the short time. His job is to get in the heat of battle, soak up damage while making those who regenerate suffer by giving them Baxia Marks.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Used to be training mates with Yu Zhong, the reincarnation of the Black Dragon. When Yu Zhong rebelled, Baxia had to put him down, even if it turned out to be temporary.

    Belerick, Guard of Nature

    Edith, Forsaken Warden
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_edith.png
"I am the priestess of Primal Lightning, the hunter of all the Evil Gods!"
Voiced by: Xanthe Huynh (English), Mei Shibata (Japanese)

On an island above Sanctum Island lived the Gods from the Land of Dawn within the Celestial Palace. Before the Endless War broke out, the Ancient Ones attempted to control the order in the Land of Dawn. They sent Kaja and Uranus to arrest unruly Evil Gods and imprison them in the Temple of Thunder on the Sanctum Island where they would be supervised by a priestess named Edith and her god-powered mecha Phylax. Eventually, after the Endless War and the Ancient One vanished with the creation of the Twilight Orb, Edith fell into deep slumber.

She's later found by a fisherman and taken to his village. She's damaged on the head and could only remember her name: Edith. Regardless, she lived a normal life with the villagers there happily, with the peculiar trait that she never aged like the rest of the villagers.

Eventually, her foster father becomes so frail and old that he takes Edith to the ruins where he found her, previously he told her to never go there again. There, they encountered Uranus, who's cross at Edith forgetting her mission and prepares to strike down the old man as interloper. Memories of her past life flood Edith's head and she's able to re-summon Phylax... but instead decides to defend her human father that raised her.

Kaja is able to stop the fight and informs them that due to a clash between heroes in pursuit of the Heart of Anima, the Celestial Palace has stopped functioning and started plummeting to the skies. The sealed Evil Gods started fleeing from their prison. Both Kaja and Uranus set to fix the seal and prevent the further plummet of the Palace while Edith is tasked to re-capture the Evil Gods. But first, she takes her father home and bids him farewell, promising that she will return to the father who raised her and gave her a human heart.

Edith is a Tank/Marksman hero who switches between crowd-controlling her foes with her mecha Phylax and blasting them to oblivion from afar by herself.

  • Her passive is Overload. After three seconds of casting a skill, Edith's next normal attack will shoot out a chain lightning that can damage up to 4 enemies. Minions take extra damage.
  • Her first skill depends on whether she is inside or outside Phylax:
    • Inside Phylax, it becomes Earth Shatter. After a short delay, Edith has Phylax smash the ground, knocking up all enemies in a moderate area in front of her. With the exception of suppression effects, nothing stops Phylax from executing the ground smash.
    • Outside Phylax, it becomes Divine Retribution. Edith summons a Bolt of Divine Retribution to an area, damaging enemies in the area during impact. For a short time, the area will still be affected and enemies staying there will take damage over time.
  • Likewise, her second skill depends on whether she's inside or outside Phylax:
    • Inside Phylax, it becomes Onward. Edith controls Phylax to dash, damaging everyone on the way, and if she bumps into an enemy hero, she stops and throws them to the back of Phylax.
    • Outside Phylax, it becomes Lightning Bolt. Edith shoots out a bolt of lightning to a line, damaging the first enemy hero hit and immobilizing them.
  • Her ultimate is Primal Wrath. Edith accumulates Wrath based on the damage she received while inside Phylax. When activated, Edith ejects from Phylax, knocks back nearby enemies, and gains a shield on her own. For an extended period of time, Edith will function as a Marksman, where she becomes more fragile, but her normal attack becomes ranged and more powerful. Her skillset also changes during this duration. She gains extra attack speed and spell vamp based on the Wrath she has accumulated and converts her physical and magical defense points into magic power. Edith can recast this to re-summon Phylax and end the ultimate prematurely.

  • The Ageless: Edith is stuck in the age of 'just barely out of preteen' because she does not age, being created by the Ancient One.
  • Ambiguously Human: Edith is the only guardian of the Sanctum Land who looks like a full human, compared to Uranus and Kaja, yet there are no signs that she's an Artificial Human. Despite being able to believe that she's like a human thanks to her upbringing, how she's created by the Ancient One remains a mystery (most likely not through normal birth procedure).
  • Badass Adorable: Petite, cute, is trying to content with her newfound humanity with things like noticing about the cute fashions that girls wear, and... she still got her god-killing skills at her disposal, she'd kill more than her mecha would do.
  • Daddy's Girl: Being raised by a human father with love makes Edith very devoted to her foster father that she defies her original orders just to protect him. She still references him as she walks in the arena.
  • Humongous Mecha: She pilots Phylax from the inside through mystical manner, and generally it works like other big mechas. It's not too big by Mobile Legends standards (The Lord/Turtle still tower over it), but it's definitely bigger than other big heroes.
  • Leitmotif: She has her own music theme that plays when she's being selected and after she activates her ultimate, overriding the current battle music until the period ends.
  • Kill the God: Although a warden/jailer, she has a quote calling herself a hunter of evil gods.
  • Killer Rabbit: With Phylax being a towering figure and Edith is just a petite little girl, you'd think that Edith is just a harmless, cute girl who is nothing without her mecha. There's a reason why she's designated as a god-killer: Her ultimate causes her to temporarily ditch Phylax and change her style (and skill set) into an offensive mage/marksman hero who zaps you with lightning bolt, converting Phylax's defenses into magic power. If Phylax is about crowd-controlling, then Edith is about killing.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Before using the ultimate, Phylax seems like just like a slow, lumbering tank. It has okay crowd control and moderate damage, but nothing too severe. It makes you want to beat the hell out of it with ease while it can only middlingly stun you. Until you fail to realize that it's building Wrath meter. Once it's full and the Ultimate button is pressed, Edith pops up, and now you face a petite floating little girl... with a beefy shield, crazy attack speed, spell vamp and acts like a magic marksman drawing magic power from Phylax's defense points ready to zap your large HP into oblivion in a short time even before she's forced to get back to Phylax.
  • Insistent Terminology: Moonton catalogues her as a tank and a marksman when her ultimate has a time limit and its best used when you have the upper hand, most of the time you'll see her in the more practical Phylax form, unlike actual dual classes like Roger who is a true half marksman half assassin with no time restrictions to his change of movesets.
  • Shock and Awe: Using her ultimate turns her into a mini-Eudora, since she shoots out god-powered lightning and turns into a Mage Marksman, with deadly lightning-based skills (but can't stun much) and shooting lightning as normal attack like a marksman.
  • Sliding Scale of Gameplay and Story Integration: Uses magic but does not have a visible mana bar, she presumably has an infinite supply of mana unlike Kaja and Uranus given her priestess position, she actively spreads her gods words while Uranus and Kaja were mere creations of the gods, giving her favoritism.
  • Upbringing Makes the Hero: Edith was at first a much more robotic girl (though not completely a robot) who only cares about her duty. Being raised by a human gave her a much more humane heart that she does not abide to Uranus treating her father as an interloper who needs to die.

    Franco, Frozen Warrior
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_franco.png
"I love the smell of gunpowder in the mornin'!"
Voiced by: Taishi Nakamura (Japanese), Wataru Tsuyuzaki (Japanese, Adventure)
Franco is the unexpected leader of the tribes of the Frozen Sea in the Northern Vale. Before his rise, he was once ridiculed for his small stature, unbefitting of a warrior. In the face of such ridicules, Franco trained hard, away from his people. He returned just in time to save his tribe during the raid of the dreaded pirate Bane, surprising those who ridiculed him in the past now that he's grown so strong. Franco resisted Bane so greatly that he offered a truce. However, Franco correctly predicted that Bane was planning to stab him in the back while trying to get the artifact known as "The Heart of Aurora", which would grant him immense power. So, Franco pretended to accept the truce, only to backstab Bane and sink his ship when he didn't expect. Hence, Franco became the de facto ruler, savior, and protector of the Northern Vale. However, he somehow knew that Bane wasn't done for. And indeed, the pirate would return in a new form, but Franco stands ready to oppose him anytime.

Franco is a stout Tank/Support hero who catches unsuspecting heroes with his long hook before mightily delivering beatdown to those caught in his hook.
  • His passive is Wasteland Force. If Franco hasn't taken any damage in five seconds, Franco gains movement speed bonus, small HP regeneration and accumulates a Wasteland Force stack, going up to 10 stacks. He can consume them all to increase the damage of the next skill he casts.
  • His first skill is Iron Hook. Franco launches a long chain hook to a direction. If it hits an enemy, Franco then drags the enemy to his side.
  • His second skill is Fury Shock. Franco stomps the ground, dealing damage to nearby enemies based on his HP and slowing them down.
  • His ultimate is Bloody Hunt. Franco suppresses a target enemy near him and viciously beats them down multiple times, dealing damage to the enemy.

  • Arch-Enemy: Bane remains as his worst and ultimate enemy. Even moreso that Franco knows he didn't completely kill him before.
  • Big Good: He's the leader of the biggest tribe in Northern Vale and has thrown himself to work on the region's restoration after Bane wrecked the area.
  • Expy: He's one of the many-many heroes throughout the genre who takes tips from Pudge the Butcher, since he has a hook skill and an ultimate that involve him hacking his target into pieces while keeping them in place. He even has a butcher skin (Masterchef) to make the homage more apparent (and it used to be his default skin before he was redesigned into a Viking warrior to lessen the similarities).
  • Genius Bruiser: He trains hard to increase his strength, but he doesn't ignore intellectual abilities. It's his cunning that eventually allows him to outgambit Bane.
  • Horny Vikings: His design is that of a viking living in the north. He's more of a good guy and protector than a pillaging guy, though.
  • Non-Indicative Name: His title is "Frozen Warrior", but that just means he hails from a frozen area; he absolutely does not use any forms of ice manipulation.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Beforehand, Franco was a short guy thought to be more fitting as a dwarf, not a warrior, so people ridiculed him and suggested that he become a harmless trader instead. Franco instead took it upon himself to train hard and become stronger. Once he finished his training in the cold areas of Northern Vale, he came back as an ultimate badass that drove away and eventually eliminated the dreaded pirate Bane from his region. Finally, his former taunters acknowledge that he's such a badass now and accept him as their leader.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: He's the guy with the skill to hook his enemy from afar, encouraging enemies to hide behind their minions.

    Fredrinn, Rogue Appraiser
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_fredrinn.png
"See value in me? Heh... you should."
Voiced by: Dustin Rubin (English), Hirosato Amano (Japanese)
An appraiser who runs a store in Los Pecados, with a crystal attached to his scarred chest. In truth, Fredrinn is actually the eldest son of House Vance of Moniyan Empire. He didn't like the strict rules of the house and was almost sent to the Monastery of Light, so he ran away from home and never came back. The inheritance of the house was then passed to his youngest brother, Harley.

During his adventures, he came across a fellow adventurer named Fray, and they became best friends where Fredrinn often stood in for Fray's protection. However, when they found a peculiar crystal containing immense power within a ruins in the desert, Fredrinn became desperate to get them. An eerie spirit attempted to to make them soul sacrifices and destroyed the ruins in an attempt to bury them. Escape seemed impossible, until Fray grabbed that crystal and used it to teleport Fredrinn alone to safety. When Fredrinn came into, all that remained was his body with the crystal attached to his chest, a set of armor to compliment that crystal, and one peculiar compass. From that compass, Fredrinn received a message that Fray still lived, but he's in a place unknown. However, he has faith that Fredrinn would come and retrieve him.

Fredrinn now spends his time running his appraisal store in Los Pecados, since he could take advantage of the less-academically gifted people by being the only educated man there, his service charges could get ridiculous to filter rude customers. However, he has only one goal for being an appraiser: By gathering unique artifacts brought to him, he may find clues to relocate Fray.
  • Berserk Button: His adventure tales have been spread out by adventurers alike. However, Fredrinn will not take it well when someone misinterprets his tale into "Fredrinn got his crystal because he's greedy and killed his best friend for it." He doesn't appreciate reliving his trauma of losing Fray, let alone having people spin a negative tale about it.
  • Con Man: His business strategy is: Tell a super high value for his offered item, then charge a ridiculously high service price (possibly surpassing the item value). Since he's more educated than the people of Los Pecados, everyone falls for it. If there are customer who ends up being rude due to the pricing, he kicks their asses and then take the artifact as the payment. Despite so, Fredrinn is usually portrayed sympathetically since he needs a huge sum of money and tons of information to find his lost partner.
  • Every Scar Has a Story: In case of Fredrinn, he's got an extensive tale of adventure and trauma on how he got his scar with a crystal lodged on his chest.
  • Fan Disservice: After Fray used the magic crystal on Fredrinn to help him escape, it lodged into his left chest, forming a rather unsightly scar that radiates out of it.
  • I Will Find You: His present motivation in adventuring is to find Fray.
  • Long-Lost Relative: He could have been the heir of House Vance and be the cool big bro for both Harley and Lesley. Unfortunately, that's not Fredrinn's calling in life.
  • Mr. Fanservice: A tall, confident, muscular man wearing an unbuttoned jacket, with a deep voice courtesy of Dustin Rubin. His splash art completes the vibe with his smirk.
  • No Shirt, Long Jacket: His default outfit. His Royal Renegade skin downplays this by having a dress shirt underneath, though it still shows much of his chest.
  • Unknown Item Identification: In-universe. His job is being an appraiser. The problem is that he usually charges his services to be way more expensive than the true value of the item he appraised.

    Gatotkaca, Mighty Legend
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_gatotkaca_0.png
"Muscles of Iron, Bones of Steel!"
Voiced by: Abe Daiki (Japanese), Koji Takeda (Japanese, Adventure)
The Man of Steel of the Arcapada universe, born from Bima and Arimbi and trained to be the champion of Gods. After one particular defeat, he's thrown into the cauldron of heavens, Candradimuka, where he received a great dose of training to become the legendary fighter he is. He's ready to strike down his foes armed with his Brajamusti and Brajadenta gauntlets and his Antakusuma armor, and one of such foes is the king of Ashura, Martis.

Gatotkaca is a Tank/Fighter hero who excels in entering the combat from afar and soaking up damage before returning them to his attackers tenfold.

  • His passive is Steel Bones. Gatotkaca converts a percentage of his lost HP into physical defense, making him durable against physical attackers the closer he is to death. Additionally, it grants him the Rage bar that fills up the more he gets attacked. After reaching a certain Rage number, Gatotkaca modifies his next physical attack to deal extra damage and steals life based on how many Rages are consumed.
  • His first skill is Blast Iron Fist. Gatotkaca smashes the ground to shatter them in a line. The shattered ground stays for awhile and deals damage over time and slowing enemies that enters the area.
  • His second skill is Unbreakable. Gatotkaca charges for a short period. When the charge concludes, he dashes to a line and taunts whoever gets caught in the line, forcing them to attack him. The longer he charges, the further his dash will be.
  • His ultimate is Avatar of Guardian. Gatotkaca leaps to the sky and marks a large circle quite far from his location. After a short delay, he dives straight to the center of the circle, smashes the ground and knocks up all enemies caught in the area, except those at the edge of the circle; they get pulled onto him instead.

  • Achilles' Heel: Magic damage. Gatotkaca's passive does not provide him magic damage reduction whatsoever.
  • Attack Reflector: Not in the most traditional sense. Gatotkaca is tough, he has ways to force you to attack him and when you actually attack him, it will fill up his Rage and after it reaches a certain level, he strikes back HARD based on the lost HP so far (it usually surpasses the damage given to him), recovers some of his lost HP and if you keep attacking him, he'll be happy to repeat the reflecting process over and over again.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Some of his lines are based on some of the Indonesian culture ("Unity in Diversity", basically the English translation of Indonesia's motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika") or even memes ("Om Telolet Om", with 'telolet' being the sound of car honking because the streets of Indonesian cities, especially the capital, is extremely congested)
  • Dynamic Entry: If you see a circle suddenly painted to the ground, you better watch out: That's when Gatotkaca will suddenly dive out of nowhere to the center of the circle and join the battle.
  • Foil: For his fellow Indonesian hero compatriot, Kadita. While she is a slippery mage/assassin who is haughty and specializes in quick burst damage, Gatotkaca is a stalwart tank/fighter who is honorable and specializes in long, sustained battles.
  • Flying Brick: Gatotkaca is based on the Javanese version of the character from Mahabharata where he's originally often likened to Superman (without being too much of a clone). Hence, he comes with some of the more basic Flying Brick traits: He can fly (though he only uses it during his ult), he's got Super-Strength (his Rage-filled attacks) and Super-Toughness (he becomes tougher when near death).
  • I Shall Taunt You: Those caught in his Unbreakable will be forced to attack him, which fills up his rage and allows him to strike back with Rage attacks.
  • Mighty Glacier: When his Rage fills up, anyone caught on Gatotkaca's mighty fist is in for a serious damage, and even worse if he manages to taunt them and force them to attack up close. However, despite some of his gap closer, he's not the most agile hero (his dash is very projected), so he's vulnerable of being kited.
  • Power Fist: The Brajamusti and Brajadenta gauntlets are put simply... huge. And helps enhance his rage-filled attacks or shattering the ground with his first.
  • The Rival: He engages in a rivalry with Martis, the Ashura King, who's based on the Asura race which also exists in the Buddhism myth, but not a part of Mahabharata epic overall. Gatotkaca is trying to prevent Martis from expanding his 'training course' into multiple realms, most of them will not end well, and it's his duty to defend the peace of the realms.
  • Stone Wall: His damage is a little puny, but he can last in fights extremely long due to his natural durability when he gets lower on health

    Gloo, Swamp Spirits

  • Asteroids Monster: Gloo can split himself into several Goo.
  • Benevolent Monsters: Gloo can be mischievous, but he is far from being a malicious being. His newer splash art better reflects this by carefreely running around rather than looking like he is chasing someone.

    Grock, Fortress Titan

    Hylos, Grand Warden

    Johnson, Mustang
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_johnson.png
"Come on, let's roll!"
Voiced by: Mitsuru Watanabe (Japanese)

Johnson used to be a sports star (possibly rugby), known as a famous quarterback with many fans. However, during one fateful journey home with his sports car, a girl suddenly appeared on his way. Johnson steered away in time to avoid crashing, but he and his car fell into a cliff. He ended up suffering a massive brain haemorrhage and death would be imminent if it wasn't for a group of inventors of Eruditio under Dr. Rooney discovering him and quickly brought him to the doctor. To save him, Dr. Rooney conducted a special treatment after discovering Johnson's body being compatible with defensive machinery: He turned Johnson into a cyborg packed with various defensive weapons and able to turn himself into a high speed sports car. Grateful at the doctor for saving his life, Johnson now dedicates his new life as a guardian of Eruditio. He protects the peace in the scientific city using his new cyborg enhancement he was given.

Johnson is a Tank/Support hero who crashes into the battlefield in high speed as a car and starts cleaning up from there.

  • His passive is Electro-airbag. Johnson gains a massive shield when his HP drops below 30%. This passive, however, has a rather lengthy cooldown to prevent abuse.
  • His first skill is Deadly Pincers. Johnson throws a spanner to a direction and he also gets to decide where the landing point is. The spanner deals damage to everyone in its path, but those hit on the landing point will be temporarily stunned.
  • His second skill is Electromag Rays. Johnson puts his shield forward and it emits electric charges, continuously dealing damage to and slowing enemies in a fan area. Creeps will take extra damage. Continuous hit on the same enemy will increase its damage. Johnson can walk and execute normal attack while in this stance.
  • His ultimate is Rapid Touchdown. Johnson transforms into a car. He starts out slow as an acceleration phase, where Johnson will reveal his own location to his enemy. Until the acceleration phase ends (naturally or manually), one ally can walk to Johnson and take a ride. Once the phase ends, Johnson starts driving himself. He can activate a turbo mode where he drives even faster. The car driving session ends when stopped manually or Johnson crashes into an obstacle or an enemy. When he stops driving, he emits an area-wide electric zone that deals damage over time and slows enemies within. If he crashes into an enemy, the enemy suffers massive damage and be temporarily stunned. An ally can ditch the ride midway by casting a skill while riding Johnson.

  • Big Damn Heroes: One of the most common ways to utilize the car mode is to take someone (preferably with AOE damage, like Odette) and then drive fast to join the battle, crashing into the enemy ranks and saving the day because your friend will also be in range to utilize their specialty.
  • Car Fu: Johnson weaponizes himself by turning into a car and looking for enemies to deliberately crash on them.
  • Cyborg: Johnson was once full human, but one accident later, he's cyborgified to save his life.
  • Drives Like Crazy: Proper driving just isn't for the Land of Dawn. It's more beneficial for Johnson to drive with high speed, if the player can control him well, because the crash damage gets bigger if he crashes at high speed and it also induces a surprise element. But failure to control him well means that Johnson will more likely crash to an unintended obstacle. Sometimes, you can pity whoever takes a ride with him.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Zig-zagged. Johnson can deal respectable damage, but he doesn't have enough speed to catch up with his enemies. That's if he's in humanoid mode. He can simply catch up by turning into a car and speeding up.
  • I Owe You My Life: Johnson joins the Eruditio Rangers as its respective big guy as a token of gratitude to Dr. Rooney for saving his life.
  • Shout-Out: Even before the Transformers collaboration, Johnson has always been meant to be the tribute to the Autobots. So, when the collaboration hits in, he naturally gets the Optimus Prime skin.

    Khufra, Desert Tyrant
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_khufra.png
"All shall succumb to my power."
Once upon a time in Agelta Drylands, there was a vast kingdom with unparalleled majesty. However, it was ruled by an absolute tyrant named Khufra. Greedy and ruthless, Khufra executed a campaign to subjugate the whole deserted area to expand his domain and riches, with only the Minoan Empire showing considerable resistance. To further hoard more power for himself and defeat the Minoan Empire, Khufra demanded help from a group of astrologers. When they refused, noticing his evil intentions, Khufra slaughtered them all except one astrologer who has fallen in love with him: Eslora. However, Khufra's evil proved too much for Eslora's own internal conflict that eventually she tricked him by promising to put him under a spell that would give him more power, but in truth, Khufra ended up cursed, mummified and sealed by Eslora in a monument so she could preserve his reputation to his own people. Khufra swore revenge on his lover's betrayal before he went to a deep slumber.

Millenium passed, the Twilight Orb explodes, and this undoes the seal of Khufra. Still remembering what happened before he was sealed, Khufra decided to embark on a quest for revenge against Eslora via her descendant, Esmeralda. After amassing an army, Khufra once again restarted his reign of terror, but he faced a tough resistance by the current defender of Agelta Drylands, Khaleed. After he was thwarted, Khufra retreated to the city of Tihuacan to recover from his losses. However, his rage against both Esmeralda and Khaleed remain burning, as is his ambition to restart his conquest and rule over the Agelta Drylands.

Khufra is a Tank/Support hero utilizing his mummy-like seals and bandages to disrupt the battlefield, sustaining himself and giving hell to those who like to dash around.
  • His passive is Spell Curse. For every 12 seconds, Khufra's basic attack changes from a normal melee attack to a ranged attack which deals damage based on his max HP, slows his target and also heals himself. The cooldown is reduced everytime he inflicts a crowd control to an enemy hero.
  • His first skill is Tyrant's Revenge. Khufra uses his bandages to plant himself to the ground, charging and pulling himself. When released, he then releases the bandages and jumps like being launched from a catapult; the range is based on how long he has charged. He deals damage to every enemies in his path, stopping when he reaches the maximum range or bumps to an enemy hero. If he bumps to an enemy hero, he deals damage and knocks up nearby enemies.
  • His second skill is Bouncing Ball. Khufra wraps himself up with his bandage, forming a giant ball that bounces around the ground. Throughout this period, he gains massive physical and magical defense bonus. He deals damage to and slows down nearby enemies everytime he bounces off the ground. If an enemy uses a dash skill to bump on him while being a ball, they instead gets knocked up.
  • His ultimate is Tyrant's Rage. After a small delay, Khufra pulls everyone around him to the front and deals damage while slowing them. If he somehow pulls them to a wall, they suffer greater damage and are stunned instead of slowed.

  • Evil Overlord: Khufra is the cruel and ruthless tyrant who leads his own kingdom to subjugate the realm for his own. Death and destruction follows afterwards.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: His immense power and sheer evil attitude is shown with how his voice has deep echo filter.
  • Hated by All: Being a shameless tyrannical king makes Khufra a target of hatred by many. Even Eslora, his ex-lover, decided to turn against him. On returning, all he does is making even more enemies, between both Esmeralda and Khaleed and even Moskov (even as he falls from grace as well).
  • Heal Thyself: His passive is his only form of sustain. It's also based on his own max HP too, so if Khufra manages to trigger it, he's going to heal a lot.
  • Mummy: He's using mummy bandages while not really bothering to wrap up his face. He used to be sealed within a sarcophagus and wrapped up with said bandages by Eslora, therefore making him some sort of mummy emperor.
  • Sins of Our Fathers: On waking up, Khufra wants payback against Eslora. However, she's long dead. He settles with targeting her descendant, Esmeralda, instead.
  • Stone Wall: Unlike most Tanks, Khufra doesn't have extreme direct main crowd control skills, but he has one of the highest defense buffs available and his main way of defense is making those who likes to zip into his ranks regret zipping in the first place.

    Minotaur, Son of Minos

"I, Minotaur, will finish off what was left undone!"
Voiced by: Hiromu Mineta (Japanese)

The Prince of Minoa, a race of bipedal bulls that lived in the Agelta Drylands. Minotaur is passionate about fighting, but often falls into a berserker rage, displaying destructive strength. While he remained popular with his people, his father was worried that his attitude wouldn't make him a good king. So, he gave Minotaur a trial to defeat a mysterious masked figure from a foreign land. Minotaur put up a good fight, but was eventually defeated by attrition. However, shamed after his defeat, Minotaur instead acted like a Sore Loser and flew into a rage, rejecting the graceful helping hand of the figure and beating him to a bloody pulp, with the crowd watching and losing faith in Minotaur. But once his rage subsided, to his shock, Minotaur learned that the masked figure was actually his father in disguise. Now truly ashamed of his actions, Minotaur retreated to the Minoan Labyrinth, training to control his rage better so he could fulfill his father's dying words: for him to shoulder the responsibility of a king and usher his people to glory. Unfortunately, right after he finished his training, the Twilight Orb nearby exploded, wiping out the civilization of Minoa. The labyrinth protected Minotaur, but he was too late to see what was going on outside; it was sealed shortly after he left. Time stopped for Minotaur as he fell into a deep slumber. Years later, the seal of the labyrinth was broken. Minotaur was briefed on what happened by the labyrinth guardian, Aldous, and he departed from the labyrinth with the goal of finding what remained of his kin, rebuilding the Minoa civilization, and fulfilling his father's dying wish.

Minotaur is a versatile Tank/Support who builds up his rage to unleash utter destruction on his foes, keeping them in place to die, while in the meantime, healing his allies.

  • His passive is Rage Incarnate. Minotaur does not use Mana as resource; he uses Rage. His skills do not consume Rage and are only affected by cooldown. The Rage meter builds up every time Minotaur takes or deals damage. When the Rage maxes out, he is enraged. He gains enhanced attack and defense, refreshes his non-ultimate skills' cooldowns, and his skills gain bonus attributes.
  • His first skill is Despair Stomp. Minotaur jumps forward and smashes his hammer to the ground, damaging and slowing both the attack and movement speeds of nearby enemies. He also temporarily gains increased attack after he uses this skill. In Enraged state, the area of effect is increased and also deals extra damage scaling with his HP.
  • His second skill is Motivation Roar. Minotaur heals himself and his nearby allies. He also increases his allies' attack speed with it. In Enraged state, Minotaur also gains a regeneration effect on himself; if he's hit by an enemy, he immediately heals himself back.
  • His ultimate is Minoan Fury. Minotaur channels, gaining Rage on his own. He can walk at a slower pace while channeling. In Enraged state, Minotaur instead furiously smashes the ground three times, the first two smash slowing enemies down and the last one knocking them up. The third smash deals true damage and still slows enemies once they land.

  • Combat Medic: Even in the early game, he has strong healing and everyone builds him with roaming healing boots, which on top of the item "Oracle" he can fill over half your health bar without having to use a support emblem.
  • Last of His Kind: He's basically the last living Minoan, since he was stuck in the labyrinth when his civilization got wiped out.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Initially a slow Mighty Glacier, he hits and moves surprisingly quickly by the end.
  • Master of All: He is both a tank and support.  He also has an attack buff based on his health and can slow down enemies. His ultimate, which has a low cooldown, has one of the longest and strongest stuns in the gamenote . After he uses that, his other skills have their cooldowns reset, and he now has a boost on every skills and stats.
  • Our Minotaurs Are Different: The Minoan race is a race of bull-like creatures. Being their prince, he's literally named Minotaur.
  • Self-Made Orphan: He unwittingly killed his father when his rage got the best of him and he assaulted the stranger who beat him in fair combat. The stranger turned out to be his father in disguise.
  • Shaped Like Itself: He's a minotaur whose name is literally Minotaur.
  • Sore Loser: He didn't take being beaten by a mysterious stranger well; he instead rejected the stranger's helping hand and messily killed him. To his shock, that stranger was his father. Minotaur regretted it big time.
  • Warrior Prince: Minotaur is the prince of his people and is famed for his mighty combat prowess.

"For honor!"
Voiced by: Zach Lazar Hoffman (English), Masaaki Yano (Japanese), Tomokazu Sugita (Japanese, Adventure)

Tigreal is the chief knight of the Moniyan Empire. Born from the esteemed Witting family, he became a knight at the tender age of 16 and worked his way up to be the bravest and greatest knight. However, during a campaign when he was 20, a miscommunication with certain greedy higher ups caused his squad along with the Second Regiment of Moniyan Empire to be trapped in an inescapable ambush by abyssal demons. Tigreal ended up being the Sole Survivor thanks to the sacrifice of deputy commander Roland (Alucard's father). However, the Moniyan Empire decided to cover up the incident and forced Tigreal to be silent about it while marking Roland and his squad to be disgraced and be marked "disobedient". Unable to bear with this, Tigreal left his post and retreated to the Northern Vale where he had some soul-searching after befriending and fighting alongside the tribes there. It was enough for him to eventually return to the Empire and resume his post, with greater conviction to protect the innocent.

Tigreal is the archetypical Tank/Support hero who bravely charges to the battlefield with shield and hammer ready, wreaking havoc within the enemy ranks while taking hits like a champ.

  • His passive is Fearless. Tigreal gets a stack of blessing everytime he is hit by basic attacks or casting a skill. After gaining 4 stacks, Tigreal can consume all stacks to negate the next basic attack to him by a hero.
  • His first skill is Attack Wave. Tigreal smashes the ground with his hammer, sending a conical ground shockwave, damaging and slowing enemies hit. The farther the enemy, the greater the slow.
  • His second skill is Sacred Hammer. Tigreal charges forward with shield in front, pushing enemies caught in it while dealing damage. He can recast this skill again where he will deliver an upper strike by his hammer to knock the enemy up to the air.
  • His ultimate is Implosion. Tigreal channels great power within him, pulling enemies around towards him. At the end of the channeling, Tigreal smashes his hammer to the ground, dealing damage and stunning nearby enemies.

  • Art Evolution: And a change of weapon to go: In the early build, Tigreal wielded a BFS, making him a carbon-copy of Garen. Over time, Moonton improved his art and gave him a shield to make the similarity not too obvious, but eventually Moonton thought it wasn't enough to quell the copycat accusations and finally settled him with a hammer instead.
  • Big Brother Mentor: He's the senior knight who tutors most of the next-gen Moniyan Empire Knights, including Alucard, Fanny and Harith.
  • Knight in Sour Armor: While he looked like the Shining Armor type, Tigreal himself has been suffering some PTSD and knows that his Empire can be a bit too ruthless and corrupt. However, he still strives to use his position to do actually good things despite what has happened. He learns this mindset during his retreat to Northern Vale.
  • The Paladin: He's close enough to be a 'Senior Holy Knight', although he's a little lacking in white magic. However, the image is still enhanced with his hammer-wielding knight look.
  • Skill Gate Characters: The essential, cheapest, and most newbie-friendly Tank-Roamer hero. Tigreal fills up the most basic needs of new players about being a tanky disruptor of enemy ranks who concentrates on soaking up damage while crowd-controlling his enemies rather than actually killing someone.
  • Stone Wall: Tigreal isn't the hero to rack up a lot of kills. He's there to charge to the enemy, soak up damage while disrupting them with crowd control. And he can soak up A LOT.
  • Survivor Guilt: The sacrifice of his squad and Roland's during the fateful ambush and being told to keep his mouth shut by the Empire that he serves are eating up Tigreal's psyche. He retreated to Northern Vale to recover from that.

    Uranus, Aethereal Defender
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mlbb_uranus.png
"Hmm... Uranus has awakened."
Voiced by: Kei Sato (Japanese), Daichi Hayashi (Japanese, Adventure)

A construction made to protect a temple

  • Achilles' Heel: Mages and Damage based on Health because for his healing to be effective he needs to build up counters, for example a Eudora that makes her standard 3 skill combo will give him 3 counters and a bunch of his health will be lost in an instant vulnerable now that he lacks the health to build up counters, Uranus shield kinda mitigates burst damage but you need items to make it defensive enough.
  • Magic Eater: He himself says he feeds on Aether, which basically tells us he is powered by using an energy of reality... magic itself wich explains his potent healing.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: His late game with a proper build, his ultimate skill boosts his shield, the effectiveness of his damage counters, shield blast strenght and healing counters effectiveness on top of a speed boost ensuring a Uranus players succesfully forces the enemy to use skills while being able to run away and heal to return back to battle, its also a terrible idea to 1v1 a mid-game Uranus because he can just leave you vulnerable.
  • Uranus Is Showing: Thankfully averted! There is no dirty jokes coming from this Uranus.
