Kenka Banchō 3 cast
Rashin Koko (Rashin High School)
The school where the main character comes from, which goes to Kyouto for a week-long school trip. The school's prefecture of origin must be chosen before playing the game, and the very first boss of the game will be the region's respective banchō.
Takashi Sakamoto
The 18-year old banchō of Rashin High School.
- Living Legend: Catches the attention of all the bancho in Kyouto after defeating his prefecture's bancho in the station.

A teacher of Rashin High, known as "Suzukin" (Tin Suzuki) / "Suzumecium". He threatens to not graudate Takashi unless he goes to the school trip to Kyouto.Kiyoshi Furuya
A teacher of Rashin High, known as "Kiyo-chan". He's mild-mannered in comparison to Toshirō, and more understanding of students. Shinsengumi / Ikeda Kōkō (Ikeda High School)
A organization of Kyouto ruffians, who have the tradition of challenging other banchōs that come from other regions — so far, they've been undefeated in ten years. They belong to Ikeda Kōkō, the school with the most powerful Banchōs in Kyouto.
Isami Kondō
The banchō of Ikeda High, and therefore the strongest banchō in the country. He's Aya's older brother.Toshizō Hijikata
The sub-leader of the Shinsengumi, and a man who values harsh discipline.- Anti-Villain: He's not interested in fighting against foreign banchos, and offers the main character to have a truce.
Sōji Okita
Shinsengumi's #3, who is in charge of Ikeda High whenever his two superiors are out.Aya Kondō
A 17-year-old student of Ikeda High, although she tends to skip classes. She's a friend of Kotone, and tries to protect her from possible ruffians. One of Takashi's possible love interests.Kashitarō Itō
A Ikeda High student who asks Takashi to defeat Hijikata.- The Starscream: He asks the main character to rid of his superiors probably either to ascend within the Shinsengumi, and/or get revenge from being expelled from Ikeda high.

Ryujiro Sakamoto
Takashi's father, and the head priest of a buddhist temple. However, he's rather accquainted with violence. He appears later in Kyouto looking for souvenirs for his neighbors, but he's obviously watching his son's progress.Kotone

The 47 nationwide banchōs
The Series Mascot of the franchise's games developed by studio Bullet (Kenka Banchō 3, 4, 5 & Bros.). They first appear in the third game as banchō representatives of The 47 Prefectures in a school trip to Kyouto, and the player character has the possibility of defeating every one of them. In the sequels, they appear as extra characters, although Bros. introduces a new set of 47 rivals, this time in Toukyo. Hokkaidō & Tōhoku regions
