    In General
The many antagonists the Tree Friends have to face, many of which are Ax-Crazy animals.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: All of them have reigned victorious over the Tree Friends (with the possible exception of The Demon).
  • Karma Houdini: None of them have ever suffered a comeuppance.

    The Ant Family
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_ants_profile.png
Voiced by: Misha Klein Jessica Teach, Jennifer Hansen (2000), Sarah Castelblanco (2000-2004), Kenn Navarro, Ken Pontac, Warren Graff (2003-present)

A family of ants who are Sniffles' arch-enemies. Small but surprisingly deadly.

  • Amicable Ants: Played straight with each other, but inverted to a horrifying degree with Sniffles.
  • Ant Assault: They're a family of ants that tortures and kills Sniffles, who is supposed to be their natural predator.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: The Ants always succeed in murdering and torturing Sniffles.
  • A Boy, a Girl, and a Baby Family: The family consists of three kids (a baby, an older brother and their sister) and their single mother. As for the dad? Some fans assume he died prior to the series; most likely eaten by Sniffles.
  • Ax-Crazy: The Cold-Blooded Torture they put Sniffles through (especially in "Tongue in Cheek") isn't something those who are sound of mind would do.
  • Character Catchphrase: They only say "AAAH!! AAAH!!"
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: They inflict downright brutal torture on Sniffles whenever he tries to eat them in longer, more complex and painful ways then even Fliqpy (a sadistic serial killer) does to his targets.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Yes, Sniffles is usually trying to eat them, but the Ants take their retaliation far beyond self-defense by torturing and killing him as painfully and brutally as possible.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: They care a lot about each other, but are horrible to Sniffles.
  • Four-Legged Insect: They also lack antennae, except the baby ant who has one antenna on his head like a single strand of hair.
  • Hero Antagonist: Sympathetic or not, Sniffles is played as the villain against the ants as he is the main instigator of their fights (sans "Suck It Up") and the ants mainly attack out of self-defense — albeit extremely disproportionately.
  • Mama Bear: In "A Hard Act to Swallow", the mother ant attacks and goes inside Sniffles to rescue her youngest offspring, who was eaten at the beginning of the episode.
  • Non-Mammalian Hair: The mother and daughter ant have hair, although they're not mammals.
  • Put on a Bus: Since "Tongue in Cheek", they have made no further appearances in the show.
  • Red Is Violent: The brother ant wears a red cap and was specifically the one who caused Sniffles the worst death in the show's history via mind control.
  • Sadist: Not only do they torture Sniffles in ways that would make even Fliqpy (a serial killer who's an example of this trope himself) wince, they clearly enjoy doing so, judging by how they always smile while torturing him.
  • Satellite Character: Sniffles is the only character they ever interact with.
  • Shout-Out: The mother ant has the exact same hairdo as Marge Simpson.

    The Cursed Idol
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_cursed_idol.png
A mysterious golden object that causes death and destruction to anyone near it.
  • Artifact of Death: Just being near it will guarantee you a death.
  • The Cameo: Similarly to Truffles, the Idol can be seen hidden in the background on several episodes.
  • A Day In The Lime Light: It has major roles in: "Treasure Those Idol Moments", "Hello Dolly", and "Idol Curiosity".
  • Demoted to Extra: Hasn't made a starring role since "Idol Curiosity" in 2006.
  • Expy: Of the Fertility Idol. Its likeness is very similar to it.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: It was willing to pay for the taxi's fare in "Idol Curiosity" rather than just killing the driver.
  • Reality Warper: The Idol can bend the laws of physics - whether it be body-piercing coils or sentient earthquakes - just to kill any of the main characters.

    The Demon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/s3e1_demon.png
A paranormal squid-like creature that possesses Cub in the episode "Read em' and Weep"

    The Kraken

A Kraken that decides to ruin Giggles and Russell's romantic sea date.
    The City Monster
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/monsterinaction.png
This monster is actually a nice parent figure when you get to know it.
The City Monster is a unknown creature that appeared in "Cubtron Z" that at first starts destroying the city but then acts like a parent figure to Cubtron after meeting him, Later at the end of the episode, the monster helps Pop take care of Cubtron who makes cookies for both of them.
  • Ambiguous Gender: The monster's true gender is currently unknown. Although, there are many hints that it might be a female.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The reason the monster stopped being evil and started taking care of Cubtron is because Cubtron acted nice to it.
  • Beneath the Mask: A positive example. The monster is first shown to be evil but after it interacts with Cubtron it's shown to be a nice loving helpful parent figure.
  • Female Monster Surprise: Implied: While the monster's gender isn't confirmed, it roars in a male voice but acts like a mother figure and at the end of "Cubtron Z", the monster is shown to act female showing to wear eyelashes and an apron like a housewife.
  • Gentle Giant: Downplayed: It acted like a very evil monster but is very nice when it comes to Cubtron.
  • Good Parents: A sweet parent figure to Cubtron.
  • Heel–Face Turn: The Monster becomes a nice parent figure after it met Cubtron and later is shown living with him and Pop.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: When Cubtron becomes nice to the monster it shows to be very nice to him back showing that it probably just wanted to be respected.
  • Kaiju: The monster is shown to have some lizard features.
  • Karma Houdini: The Monster suffered no comeuppances for destroying the city.
  • Monster Is a Mommy: This monster acts motherly towards Cubtron upon meeting him. Later in the end of the episode, it makes cookies for both him and Pop.
  • One-Shot Character: Only appears in "Cubtron Z".
  • Ship Tease: It has one with Pop (who is a bear). In the end of the episode, The Monster is shown to be dressed like a woman with cookies for him and Cubtron meaning it possibly wants to be Pop's new girlfriend/wife, and the fact that Pop isn't bothered with anything that happened at all. (Unless they're doing Platonic Co-Parenting) Their current relationship status is unknown.
  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: The ending in "Cubtron Z" shows the monster wearing an apron and having eyelashes, implying it's feminine side.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: It's the huge (ambiguously) girl to Pop's tiny guy.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: The Monster looks like it was about to attack Cubtron but it starts acting maternal to him instead, showing that The Monster doesn't want to hurt (robot) children.
    Pod Lumpys
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/s3e6_worldofdummies3.png
A bunch of aliens that grew from a seed that came from outer space whom Lumpy decides to use as slaves. They resemble Lumpy and are even more idiotic than him.
  • Accidental Murder: They kill Sniffles, Petunia, and Cuddles and almost killed Toothy. Thinking that they're chores Lumpy wants them to be either cleaned, chopped, or fixed.
  • Alien Blood: They have green blood.
  • Doppelgänger: To Lumpy.
  • Clone Army: They replicate to the point that the ending implies that they've taken over the world.
  • The Ditz: They prove to be even more Lethally Stupid that Lumpy.
  • Expendable Clone: Lumpy treats them as this, as whenever a piece of their body is severed, said piece turns morphs into another pod clone, effectively multiplying them.
  • Me's a Crowd: Near the end of the episode, there's practically hundreds of them.
  • Self-Duplication: They have regenerative powers. Meaning that if one clone is chopped into pieces, both pieces would regenerate into two seperate copies.
  • Servant Race: Lumpy uses them as slaves to complete his chores.
  • The Speechless: They don't speak.
  • One-Shot Character: They only appear in "Peas in a Pod".
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: They're not inherently evil. They just want to follow their master's (Lumpy) orders.

    Whistle
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/31___doggone_it_part_1_12_53_53.jpg
A seemingly nice and passive dog who goes rabid whenever he hears a whistling noise. Can be best described as a dog version of Flippy.

    Crow
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crow_0.png
A small crow, whom Lumpy develops a rivalry over.

    Russell's Piranha
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/s3e9_russell_and_his_piranha_fish.png
Russell's pet piranha he presents in his school's show and tell. Extremely carnivorous and gets the taste of Tree Friend blood — leading it to a massive feeding frenzy across the school. Also one of the few one-off antagonists Lumpy does not face.
  • Fingore: Eats the flesh off of Flaky's fingers fast enough that she doesn't even notice at first.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Is surprisingly fast and can quickly dispatch any Tree Friend in mere seconds.
  • No Name Given: Russell never reveals its name in its only episode.
  • One-Shot Character: Only appears in "Something Fishy".
  • Piranha Problem: Able to kill Giggles and Petunia in mere seconds and has a major taste in their flesh.
  • Smarter Than You Look: It seems to be a typical piranha with limited intelligence. But it's shown to be way more cunning than any of the Tree Friends ever thought, managing to navigate throughout the school using Giggles' cup of water and the school's sewage system as well as turning on its owner (Russell).
