Generic Tree Friends
Background characters who, very much like the main cast, can be caught up in messed-up gory glory.
- Faceless Masses: Mostly their faces aren't shown. One of the few exceptions being "Class Act", where Flippy is briefly shown stabbing one to death in the background.
- Mooks: Mostly there to detail the severity of the collateral damage whenever the regular Sugar Apocalypse comes knocking on the Tree Friends' door.
- Put on a Bus: They haven't made an actual physical appearance since "Wrath of Con".
- Recurring Extra: Usually seen in the background.
- Reused Character Design: As of "Class Act", they all look very similar to Toothy. Prior to that episode, they varied in color and species much like the main cast.
Truffles
- Blowing a Raspberry: One piece of promo art has him doing one to the audience.
- The Bully: Kenn Navarro stated that Truffles was supposed to be a bully-type character.
- The Cameo: Ever since he lost Vote or Die to Lammy & Mr. Pickles, Truffles could only appear through making small cameos in the background of episodes. Ironically, however, he makes more appearances than Lammy & Mr. Pickles.
- Death by Cameo: Occasionally he makes his cameo as a dead body.
- Demoted to Extra: Only has non-speaking cameos.
- Flat Character: Mostly due to the fact that he will never have his own episode.
- Irony: Despite losing Vote or Die and being reduced to cameos, he makes far more appearances than the characters who beat him.
- Killed Offscreen: How all of his deaths occur due to being a cameo character.
- Non-Standard Character Design: Like Lumpy and Sniffles, he lacks the common nose style of most characters. While distinctly heart-shaped, it is bigger, has visible nostrils, and is more purplish in color. He also lacks normal hands and feet, having hooves instead, as well as being the only character to bear tusks. His ears and tail are unique as well.
- Perpetual Frowner: With one or two exceptions, he is always shown frowning.
- Running Gag: His constant cameos throughout the series starting in "A Bit of a Pickle".
- Spoiled Brat: Truffles has been referenced as a brat by the creators. His personality could also be hinted by his appearance.
- Silent Bob: We've never heard his voice. At least not yet.
- Tuft of Head Fur: Has curly hair atop his head.
Lumpy's Elephant
- Accidental Murder: Combined with the fact that it Does Not Know Its Own Strength, it is the main cause of death of Mime, Cuddles, and Shifty.
- Ambiguous Gender: It is never shown what its gender is. However, if you listen closely while Lumpy is scolding it, you can hear Lumpy say "bad boy!" implying the elephant is a male.
- A Day In The Lime Light: It's a main character in "Junk in the Trunk".
- Does Not Know His Own Strength: Its lack of knowledge towards how strong it is causes Mime, Cuddles, and Shifty to die.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Appears briefly in "Mime to Five" before its first major role.
- Elephants Are Scared of Mice: In the episode 'Junk in the Trunk", he got scared when Lifty held Cuddles' mouse up to his face, causing him to back up and knock Shifty out of the windsheild of Lifty and Shifty's van
- Morality Pet: Lumpy is most nice towards the elephant (when the latter isn't causing mischief). Bonus points for being a literal pet.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: He's a cute elephant.
