For show and tell, Russell brings his pet piranha to school. Carnage quickly ensues as the piranha escapes his bowl.
"Something Fishy" provides examples of:
- A Day In The Lime Light: While Giggles isn't a starring character in this episode, this is the closest instance where she plays a major role after the TV series.
- All Part of the Show: In the school play, Russell's killed by his piranha, and Sniffles and Mime are killed in the scuffle. After these events transpire, the crowd cheers and applauds, apparently thinking it's all part of the play.
- Eaten Alive: The piranha is swallowed up by Giggles, but once she reaches the bathroom, the fish manages to escape painfully... for Giggles.
- Fingore: Flaky's fingers and hands are eaten to the bone.
- Fishbowl Helmet: In a literal variation, Lumpy mixes up the prop space helmet with the piranha's fishbowl.
- Gory Discretion Shot: We don't see what happens to Giggles when she's eaten, but the blood stain from the bathroom stall she's in makes it obvious that it's not pretty.
- Half the Man He Used to Be: Mime gets cut vertically by Russell swinging a flagpole around.
- Piranha Problem: Russell's pet causes all the carnage of the episode.
- Stripped to the Bone: Flaky's fingers and Russell's head are picked clean by the piranha.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Russell, Mime, Sniffles, Giggles, and Petunia die.
