  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Is in love with Yuka, who likewise likes him, but neither wants to admit it.

  • Red Is Heroic: The red-colored leader of a team of heroes.
  • Super Mode: With the powers of Mio's Justi Crystal and his two teammates, he can become Riser Shirogane.

  • Beta Couple: His Ship Tease with Mio is second to the teasing Shouta and Yuka gets, but it still gets a lot of focus.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Is a black Justiriser, in contrast to his teammates' red and blue, but is just as heroic as them.
  • The Lancer: In early episodes, where his colder and more pragmatic personality clashes with Shouta's passion. After he fully joins the team, this gets dropped in favor of him being The Smart Guy.
  • Ship Tease: It's shown quite a few times that he and Mio like each other. The epilogue implies they became an Official Couple.

Subverted in the finale when she dresses up like a warrior maiden wielding a bow to join the Final Battle, fighting Mooks alongside Reika and Demon Knight.
  • The Ojou: An upper class and refined Japanese woman who comes from a family with a long lineage.
  • Ship Tease: Likes Shinya a lot. It's implied in the epilogue they got together after the conflict ended.

  • Ambiguously Human: It's hinted in the final few episodes that she also shares a link to Planet Riser, given how she helps to awaken Jinno's true Riser power, but this never gets followed up on.
  • Badass Normal: At least to the extent where she can fight Mooks by herself.
  • The Big Girl: Granted she's not one of the Justirisers, but her athleticism and skill when it comes to fighting basically make her one for the normal humans.
  • Bodyguard Babes: Mio's expert bodyguard woman.

  • Parental Substitute: Raised and cared for Mio after her parents died in an accident.

  • Large Ham: Loves to get loud whenever he's making a point.
    Nolun

    Kaiser Hades

Kaiser Hades

Portrayed by: Takashi Taniguchi (voice)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kaiser_hades_ep17.jpg
Click here to see his true form.
An evil alien warlord seeking to conquer the universe. In the past he destroyed Planet Riser when they posed a threat to his conquest before turning his attention to Earth next, only to be sealed by Nolun.
  • Big Bad: He leads the Hades Army, is responsible for the devastation of Planet Riser in the past and seeks to do the same to Earth once he's unsealed.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: The Big Bad of Gransazer, Belzeus, was a Corrupt Politician in The Alliance who sought to manipulate and deceive his way into becoming ruler of the universe. Hades, by contrast, is a straight-up Evil Overlord who seeks to conquer the universe through militarized force. Belzeus stayed behind the scenes for most of Gransazer and didn't show up until the start of the final arc, while Hades's presence looms over the show from the very first episode. There's also the fact that the name "Hades" is quite the opposite of Belzeus.
  • Climax Boss: The Justirisers have to unlock Justi Kaiser to finally defeat him.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: He's the Big Bad for the first half and plays a critical role in the plot, but he's finished off in episode 33, leaving his brother's even bigger army to become the enemies for the rest of the series.
  • Evil Overlord: He unrepentantly plays every dark lord trope straight. He's an evil space tyrant bent on the dominating of everything around him.
  • Last Villain Stand: After Shirogane stops his Magneshielder from destroying Earth, Hades assumes his true kaiju form and goes on a rampage in a last ditch attempt to defeat the Justirisers.
  • Maou the Demon King: He's a tyrannical overlord with demonic overtones. He's even referenced as a "Space Demon King" in the opening of Chousei Kantai Sazer-X the Movie: Fight! Star Warriors.
  • One-Winged Angel: Assumes his gigantic true kaiju-like form for his final battle against the Justirisers.
  • Orcus on His Throne: After he's unsealed, he spends most of his time sitting on his throne and sending his minions out to battle the Justirisers, and only gets off of it once all of them are dead.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: If you look close, you can see his eyes are blood red.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Starts the series off sealed as a result of Nolun's actions. He's freed by Zora a quarter of the way in.
  • You Have Failed Me: Kills Basky when she flees her fight with Kageri, both for failing to defeat her and to send a message to his other subordinates that they'll be next if they also fail.
    Doctor Zora

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doctor_zora_ep14.jpg

  • Back from the Dead: Gets brought by in episode 42 by Commander Adorocs, and uses the opportunity to settle her score with Kageri.
  • Climax Boss: She's the first villain the Justirisers fight using Ranga, Kageri's Phantom Star God.
  • Designated Girl Fight: Zig-zagged. She fights all three Justirisers, but Kageri is the one she mainly develops a rivalry with. It's Kageri's mecha formation that finally defeats her, and when she's brought back in episode 42 she mainly fights Kageri, who is the one who defeats her again.
  • Evil Genius: She's a technological genius who creates each of her Cyber Knights.
  • Genius Bruiser: A genius scientist and tough and formidable fighter capable of taking on all three Justirisers.

  • Light Is Not Good: Initially she wears a white cloak, until she discards it in favor of bronze battle armor after getting her upgrade.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: An evil scientist working for a tyrannical empire.
  • One-Winged Angel: Turned into a Space Beast by Kaiser Hades after he's unsealed.
  • Recurring Boss: Fights the Justirisers in episodes 5 and 15-16.
    General Bacchus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/general_bachuss_ep17.jpg

  • Ambiguously Human: He looks human, but him being a member of the Hades Army calls that into doubt. He's actually a Riser alien.
  • Amnesiac Dissonance: From hero who fought to defend planets from the Hades Army, to (post a memory wipe from Kaiser Hades) a villain who fights to invade planets for the Hades Army.
  • Black Knight: He's purple, but he fits the archetype as a knight gone errant.
  • The Brute: As a Hades Army member, he's their main muscle for hassling the Justirisers.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: To Logia, the Evil Counterpart from Gransazer. Logia was a member of a race proud warrior aliens who became rivals with the Gransazers out of a desire to avenge his comrades, while Demon Knight is a former hero of the benevolent Riser aliens who only fights for the Hades Army because his mind was wiped by Hades. Logia also using a pistol as his main weapon, while Demon Knight fights using a sword.
  • Evil Counterpart: He transforms like the Justirisers do, uses similar powers to them and serves as their rival on the villains' side.
  • Good Powers, Bad People: He possesses the same Riser power that Nolun and the Justirisers do, but because of his memory wipe he uses it for evil instead of good. Subverted when he regains his memories and turns good again.
