Spider Society

    Otto Octavius/Superior Spider-Man 
The Superior Spider-Man is Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2. When he and Peter worked together to stop his fusion reactor, the two somehow switched bodies leaving Otto's mind in Peter's body and Peter's in Otto's. Unfortunately, Peter died and Otto chose to honor his friend by becoming Spider-Man.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Unlike his Comic Counterpart, Otto having his body switched with Peter's was a complete accident.
  • Anti-Hero: Otto takes a far more cold and brutal approach against criminals compared to his Peter's ways.
  • Big Good: He's one of the leaders of the Illuminati, and later travels the Multiverse recruiting Spider-People to his cause in fighting an unknown enemy, implied to be Kang the Conqueror.
  • Only Sane Man: Throughout the Spiderverse series, Otto is the one trying to keep things serious when he recruits other Spiders only to be interrupted by his team.
  • Rich Genius: Otto uses his intellect to start a business of his own called Parker Industries that even rivals Oscorp.
  • Ship Tease: Otto starts to develop romantic feelings for a woman named Felicia Hardy. They are currently dating at the moment.
  • Sole Survivor: He's presumably the only one that survives the onslaught of the Illuminati by Kang.
  • Spider Limbs: Superior possesses four large robotic spider legs on his suit.

    Miyuki Shirogane 
A high school student from the prestigious Shuchi'in Academy. He also spends much time as his world's Spider-Man.

    Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider 
An American Girl that moved to Japan following an incident with her best friend, Peter Parker. It was in Japan that she met and befriended Ryuko Matoi and Hobie Brown. After the three, and Mako, narrowly escaped Satsuki Kiryuin, they hide out at the former home of Ryuko's father where they got attacked by a horde of spiders and bitten, granting them the abilities of spiders and life fibers.
  • Evil Costume Switch: Gwen wears Junketsu when on Ragyo's side.
  • Trauma Conga Line: Gwen not only lost her mother, but also watching her best friend died right in front of her and her father being killed.
  • You Killed My Father: Gwen has a major beef against Nui who's revealed to be her father's murderer.

    Ryuko Matoi/Spider-Woman 
A young woman with a bad temper, she challenged the Honnōji Academy's ruler, Satsuki Kiryuin. She, along with Gwen, Hobie and Mako hide out in her late father's home only to stumble upon living clothing that attaches to her body. The being is named Senketsu. With it, and being mutated by the spiders that feasted on him, Ryuko can channel the power of Life fibers and Spiders.

    Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk 
Hobie Brown was born to a British man and a Japanese woman. Unfortunately, the couple divorced, resulting in the father to take Hobie with him back to the UK. Years later, Hobie travelled to his mother's homeland where he not only met his best friends, Ryuko and Gwen, but also gained the powers of the spiders and life fibers.
  • Cain and Abel: The Abel to Tsumugu's Cain. Hobie has an antagonistic relationship with his older brother, Tsumugu, not only for what happened following their parents' divorce but also towards his older brother's crusade against life fiber users, particularly his friends.
  • Family of Choice: His relationship with Gwen and Ryuko are that of brother and sister. It's because Hobie sees them as family is why his spider instincts has him pursue Satsuki.
  • Love at First Sight: Falls for Satsuki Kiryuin the first time he saw her.
  • Nothing Personal: Hobie announces to everyone in Honnōji Academy that he has no personal grudge with them and that they're just only a means to finally get a chance to date Satsuki.
  • The Power of Rock: Thanks to the powers given to him, Hobie can weaponize rock and roll.
  • Use Your Head: One of Hobie's tactics. With Hobie's mask having spikes, expect a MAJOR headache.

    Mako Mankanshoku/Spider Mech 
A quirky girl with a quirky family. Her life takes a different turn after Ryuko and her friends challenges Satsuki Kiryuin which leads her to be bitten by an irradiated spider.
  • Mini-Mecha: Through her smart persona, Mako created a mech suit called SP//dr or Mako Spider as she called it.
  • Split Personality: The incident with the life-fiber irradiated spiders caused Mako to develop an alternate personality called Smart Mako that only surfaces whenever she sleeps.
  • Super-Intelligence: Mako's actual power which only manifests when Smart Mako takes over.

    Satsuki Kiryuin/Silk 
Satsuki is the president of Honnōji Academy's Student Council and she rules over the school with an iron fist. When a group of transferred students challenged her rule, Satsuki is determined to bring them down.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Satsuki would sheds her cold and calculating demeanor as she continues interacting with the Transfers, namely Ryuko and Hobie.

    Loid Forger 
A Spider-Man that works with the secret spy agency, WISE.

    Shinji Ikari 
A young boy who lost his mother in a tragic accident. He ventures to Tokyo-3 to reunite with his estranged father only to discover that his old man wants him to become a pilot to a machine called the Evangelion and inherit powers from a mysterious being called Garia.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: Although acted like his canon counterpart for a short while, Shinji developed into a brave, open and sociable person along with taking his responsibilities as an EVA pilot and as a hero very seriously, even if it means killing for the sake of others. He also eventually chose to discard his father, no longer wanting to seek his approval.
  • Antagonistic Offspring: He already has deep resentment towards his father, Gendo for abandoning him. That later changes after seeing how far Gendo, NERV and Seele have crossed the line with their machinations, leading Shinji to opt to killing his father for the world's sake.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Gendo and NERV removes Shinji's spider powers after he proves to be too insubordinate for them to handle. This is Averted as Shinji still has his powers thanks to Garia.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Following his "supposed" death, Shinji wears a black suit with a white spider insignia until he reclaims his Spider Bracelet from NERV.
  • Humongous Mecha: Shinji piloted Eva Unit 01 and then later, Leopardon.
  • I Let You Win: Shinji insists that he let Asuka in their fights although Asuka doesn't believe him.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Shinji has finally had it with his father's asshole behavior and leaves Tokyo-3 to go to Germany. He didn't get far.

    Rei Ayanami/Spider Girl 
A mysterious young girl from NERV who is also the First Child.
  • Everyone Has Standards: While Rei is normally steadfast loyal towards Gendo Ikari, she is genuinely shocked how unperturbed he was about his son's death.

    Asuka Shikinami Langley/Arachne 
Asuka is the Second Child from Germany who is assigned to go to Tokyo-3. Proud and arrogant, she always butt heads with her fellow Children, especially Shinji.

    Peni Parker/Spider Mech 
Being the daughter of a NERV scientist, she would be sought out by her father's colleagues after they discovered her to be the Fifth Child. Although she's a candidate to pilot an Evangelion, her Eva has yet to be finished and so she opted to use a small mech suit to battle.
  • Berserk Button: For some reason, implying that it's her fault for what happened to Uncle Ben is this.
  • Composite Character: Peni has a mix of elements of the Peni Parker from the comics, Peni Parker from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Peter B. Parker's Mayday from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
  • Foil: To Shinji. Both Peni and Shinji lost their mothers. However, Peni has a loving father while Shinji has an abusive one. Peni is a Genki Girl while Shinji is a Shrinking Violet.
  • Mini-Mecha: Her mech suit she uses until her Evangelion arrives from the United States. It also acts as Peni's Entry Plug.
  • Genki Girl: She's a bundle of positive energy. Even after ejecting from a fighter jet, which she crashed against an Angel, doesn't break her demeanor.

    Tōji Suzuhara/Armored Spider 
A member of NERV and Fourth Child to pilot the Evangelions.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: In canon, Toji was hostile towards Shinji because his sister got injured following Eva Unit 03's fight against Sachiel. In Spider's Thesis, Peni rescued Toji's sister, removing those negative feelings Toji would have had towards Shinji.

    Miles Morales 
A young man that once possessed the power of the Cursed Spider and is the vessel of an evil demon.

    Megumi Fushiguro 
A Jujutsu Sorcerer who Miles passed the Cursed Spider to.

    Kazuma Satou/Spider-Ham 
A boy that died and reincarnated into another world to fight the Devil King. He became that world's Spider-Man (sort of) after being bitten by a radioactive spiders, followed by the radioactive pigs.

    Shido Itsuka 
A teenage student from Raizen High School that somehow got caught in a fight between the AST and a Spirit. He died in the aftermath but was revived by Madame Web who chose him to be the protector of the Spirits.
  • Cool Shades: Shido has to wears this due to how sensitive his eyes are now.
  • Fangs Are Evil: Shido is not evil but he does take note that the fangs he has makes him look more like a vampire. He even once thought that they are meant to steal the Spirit's powers.
    Kotori: You wish. No, you're not gonna get the girls that easily. You're gonna have to learn to make them like you. Not trying to hypnotize them, Dracula.
  • Healing Factor: Shido possesses accelerated healing which is the reason he survives Origami's shot.
  • Otaku: He's a fan of One Piece which is why he is extremely turn on when Kurumi wears the infamous swimsuit from One Piece Film: Strong World.
  • Super-Reflexes: Shido doesn't have the Spider-Sense so he has to train really hard to pick up attacks fast and dodge them.
  • Transformation Trinket: Shido keeps his Spider-Man suit inside a gauntlet that takes the appearance of a watch.
  • Wall Crawl: Attempted and Subverted. Shido tries to stick to walls only to fall face first into the ground below.

    Cid Kagenō 
A young boy who died and reincarnated into another world. He was chosen by the Spider Goddess to be her avatar.

    Tsukune Aono 
Tsukune is a seemingly average boy that got enrolled into Yokai Academy. Unfortunately, to his horror, he is in a school full of real monsters. He tries to escape but after an incident with one of the students, he discovers that he possesses superhuman abilities similar to that of a spider.
  • Alien Blood: Moka bites onto Tsukune who is shocked to discover that he has purple blood.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Tsukune is actually a hybrid between a human and a Spider Yokai.
  • Supernaturally Delicious and Nutritious: There is something about Tsukune that makes him attract various monsters. Moka likes how tasty his blood is while Kurumu senses a power within that she desperately wants.
  • Token Human: He initially was this in a school full of monsters only to discover he has transformed into something else. Then it's revealed he was already a monster whose powers awakened after Moka bite him.

    Ichirō Inuyashiki/Cyborg Spider-Man 
After an encounter with an UFO, Ichiro Inuyashiki was converted into a cyborg. Not only that, he also turned into a version of his favorite comic-book hero, Spider-Man.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Ichiro went from a fan of Spider-Man to becoming one himself.
  • Cool Old Guy: He spends time with his grandson, reading comic books. Then, he became a cyborg superhero that looks like his favorite superhero.
  • Cyborg: Both in his "human" form and Spider-Man form.
  • Otaku: He's a big fan of superhero comics, mainly Spider-Man. He also knows his favorite hero's other incarnations like Spider-Ham, Spier-Man Noir, PS4 Spider-Man and Superior Spider-Man.
  • Spared By Adaptation: He survived pass the asteroid incident.

    Peter Parker (Re:Zero - The Princess and the Spider) 

     2002 Spider-Man & Amazing Spider-Man 
Two Spider-Men summoned to help Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
  • Alternate Self: They're variants of Peter Parker from other universes. Echidna summons them, alongside Re:Zero Peter, to the Witches' Domain since they are technically the same person.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Amazing Spider-Man's rescuing Rem is this after failing to rescue Gwen Stacy of his world.

    Miles Morales (No Way Home) 
From an alternate universe a bit similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Miles Morales would be bitten by a radioactive spider and later be found and mentored by an older version of Peter Parker. Following Peter's death at Avengers: Endgame, he became the sole Spider-Man.

    Peter Parker (The Spider's Curse) 
An American Jujutsu sorcerer who was the original possessor of the Cursed Spider.

    Alternate Peter Parker (SPOILERS
An alternate version of the Spider's Curse Peter Parker. He is one of the last remaining Jujutsu sorcerers following their massacre at the hands of this world's Satoru Gojo.
  • The Ace: To the point he beats and almost kills Satoru Gojo.
  • Alternate Self: He's this to the Spider's Curse Peter Parker.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Peter and Gojo were close friends but the death of Riko Amanai split them, with Gojo turning evil and Peter having to oppose him.

    Takuya Yamashiro 
A young man who joined the Demon Slayer Corps.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: This version of Takuya had an uncle who was killed by a Demon, then having being bit by a Demonized spider.
  • Amazon Chaser: Takuya has his eyes set on Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira.
  • Demon Slaying: Takuya joins the corps to hunt down and kill Demons like the Kizuki and Muzan.
  • My Greatest Failure: Takuya had a girlfriend who was killed by a Goblin Demon.

    Ryuu Lion 
An Elf that works in the Hostess of Fertility. She used to be an Adventurer.
  • Cursed with Awesome: For some reason that even Anansi doesn't understand, anyone that acquires the power of the spider would become very strong, but would also experience misfortune and tragedy.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Ryuu accepts Anansi's offer to receive the power of the spider.
