Chaldea Security Organization

The Chaldea Security Organization is a secret agency founded by Marisbury Animusphere, one of the Clock Tower's twelve lords, and sanctioned by both the Mage's Association and United Nations. By bringing together the most brilliant minds in magic and science, Animusphere aimed to guarantee humanity's existence for at least the next hundred years.

Masters

     Kratos
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/raf_grassetti_kratos01.jpg
The Ghost of Sparta. The Bane of Olympus. Slave of the Gods. Bastard Son of Zeus. Former Servant of Ares. General of Ragnarök. Savior of the Nine Realms. Acting Master of Chaldea.
  • An Ice Person: Faye's Leviathan Axe was bequeathed to him after her death, and allows Kratos to utilize cryokinesis to freeze and decimate foes.
  • Batman Grabs a Gun: Even being in an alternate universe, the Blades of Chaos follow him, Kratos reasons that no matter how much he hates it, its primordial fire magic is too powerful not to use them for the trials he will face in the singularities.
  • Body Horror: The ashes of his wife and daughter are magically fused to his skin, turning it white. Furthermore, the chains of the Blades of Chaos were seared into his forearms, to the point where long after abandoning them, he still has their marks along his flesh. The novelization also reveals that the chains burned so deeply into his arms, the heat's scorched his bones.
  • Clingy MacGuffin: Even being stuck in an alternate universe won't stop the Blades of Chaos from finding Kratos. It's really Athena going out of her way to torment him.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: The original series is very much this to Kratos. Though since then he became a father, and he deeply cares for his son, it's clear that Kratos is still wracked with guilt over what he used to be.
  • Fire/Water Juxtaposition: Kratos' Leviathan axe deals Frost damage and freezes his opponents in contrast to his Blades of Chaos from the old games, which were constantly on fire and burned whoever touched them. He ends up wielding both, and will often need to switch between them depending on what he's facing.
  • Gentle Giant: Especially in Ragnarok. Kratos wants peace more than anything and will not resort to violence unless in self-defense, showing restraint at times where physical retaliation would have long since been justified (such as his first meeting with Baldur in God of War). Push him too far, however, and this goes out the window.
  • Grumpy Old Man: Falls into this, especially when he's anti-social with other characters.
  • I Am a Monster: Still thinks of himself as this, brought right back when the Blades make their appearance. The words of da Vinci and Caster Cu in succession, despite knowing he did not reveal in full his story, actually put a balm on this well justified mindset.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Kratos was gifted a retractable shield from his wife Faye, along with his other weapons, to protect himself from strikes and projectiles alike.
  • My Greatest Failure: At the time of the events of GOW 2018 and Ragnarok, Kratos considers his massacre of the Greek gods and turning Greece into an inhospitable wasteland for centuries is this.
  • Resurrective Immortality: The novelization of the first Norse entry indicates that Kratos is essentially cursed to live with the guilt of his sins forever, to the point where when he tried killing himself all the way back in III, he was brought back to life. It's even pointed out that when impaling himself on the Blade of Olympus failed, he hurled himself off a nearby cliff, only to be carried back onto land without a hitch. It's also made clear that this is why he can never part with his chained blades. Even when he tries to rid himself of them, they will always come back to him in some form or another.
  • Trapped in Another World: After being ambushed by some of Odin's remaining servants, he ends up teleported to an alternate universe with no way to return to his home world.
  • The Spartan Way: Subverted; While he tends to be harsh and strict towards Mash, he refused to train her the same way he was.the exact type of Spartan upbringing that he personally went through.
  • Tragic Keepsake: The Leviathan Axe he wields belonged to his late wife.

     Ritsuka Fujimaru
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/female_ritsuka.jpg
The last Master available in Chaldea after their destruction. Actually a total newbie in terms of magecraft, she has now become the last hope for humanity. Well, before Kratos came.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: This version of Ritsuka, unlike the game where she lived as a muggle before being picked up by Chaldea, is fully aware of magecraft and its society. She is part of a magus family, but her older sister got all the praise and became the heir. However, it's made very clear that like canon, beyond her high-Master affinity, she has no talent in magecraft.
  • Always Someone Better: Is on the receiving end of this before and now. From her older sister who did everything right to that her co-Master is a literal God who's solved two Singularities after she nearly got killed. This does little to help her self-esteem.
  • Beneath the Mask: Behind her happy attitude, Ritsuka is in truth an insecure mess who holds an inferiority complex caused by her parents and even other magus seeing her as a disappointment in the world of magecraft.
  • The Bus Came Back: After Singularity 1, Ritsuka finally awakens. After Shayton, who had been possessing her is exorcist of course.
  • The Chosen One: It's made very clear by Cu and Odin that as much as a boon Kratos is for Chaldea, only Ritsuka can deal with certain problems that appear in the Seven Singularities and the Lostbelts.
  • Demoted to Extra: For Singularity F and Singularity 1, Ritsuka is little more but a girl in a coma.
  • Determinator: Subverted and then Played Straight. This version of Ritsuka admits that due to her poor skills in magecraft and even mundane activities, she constantly gave up and never really changed herself. Always giving up. To the point where when invited to Chaldea, she took it as an opportunity to run away. However, despite her complicated feelings in knowing she isn't the only Master and starting out with only Mash, Ritsuka decides to quit running and actually try her best to prove her resolve to save humanity.
  • Disappointing Older Sibling: Inverted. It's Ritsuka who's the disappointment while her older sister is the accomplished one. Being the heir to the family and is good in both magecraft and mundane talents compared to Ritsuka.
  • Grand Theft Me: It's revealed that in truth, Ritsuka had never been poisoned. In reality, she was slowly being taken over by the corrupt Cursed Arm demonic hand, Shayton, using Ritsuka's blood as a medium before being expelled and killed by Romani.
  • Genki Girl: Is a very excitable person and talks a lot both in her mind and with her mouth. Being rather happy and smiles a lot. Though this may be a mask to hide Ritsuka's more... insecure traits.
  • Nice Girl: For all of Ritsuka's problems, she's still a good person and even defended Jeanne Alter from Medusa's jabs while being worried for Mash. Having even considered Servants and even vat-grown homunculus as people rather than tools to walk over on.
  • Put on a Bus: During Singularity F, Ritsuka is poisoned and put out of commission with Kratos taking her place as Master until she awakens.
  • Reincarnation: Chapter 20 reveals that despite having been killed since Fuyuki, Cursed Arm had managed to get his blood inside Ritsuka with Shayton slowly overtaking her to be reborn in her body. Thankfully, Jeanne Alter forces it to reveal itself and it is subsequently killed.
  • Super-Strength: While being possessed, Ritsuka displays enhanced strength that makes the Servants somewhat struggle when trying to restrain her.
  • Worf Had the Flu: After Jeanne Alter reveals its ruse, Shayton awakens within Ritsuka and attempts to kill Romani. While defeated, Da Vinci notes that the demon hadn't fully integrated itself within Ritsuka and was forced to move after being outed despite being weakened.

Directors

     Olga Marie Animusphere
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/goolga.png
A member of the prestigious Animusphere family of magi and the second director of Chaldea. She monitors the future and is trying to prevent the extinction of humanity.
  • Astrologer: Her family is the current head of the Astrology department of the Clock Tower.
  • Beneaththe Mask: She tries so hard to project the usual mage persona of haughtiness, but it doesn't take much for the mask to crack and reveal the Nervous Wreck that relies on others she really is.
  • Broken Pedestal: Lev, the one person she has absolute faith in, reveals that he killed her and was scheming against her the whole time. This revelation coming from her trusted mentor and the person she was putting her faith into for fixing everything shocks her and she feebly tries to dismiss what he's saying as lies.
  • Dead All Along: The Olga Marie seen in Fuyuki is actually her soul Rayshifting after her physical body was destroyed by Lev's bomb.
  • Refused by the Call: She has zero Rayshifting aptitude and Master compatibility, so she never had a chance to be the Master that could save humanity.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Kratos manages to trap her soul in one of Atreus' marbles, with da Vinci making plans to put it in a doll body.

     Romani Archaman
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/goroman.png
More known as Dr. Roman, he is the head of Chaldea's medical ward. He is responsible for making sure the Master candidates stay in good health. He becomes the Director stand-in on account Olga being currently indisposed.
  • Big Good: He is the primary character who all others at Chaldea look for guidance during the crisis and he quickly proves to be very adept at doing so despite the emergency nature of his hastily appointed role.
  • Godzilla Threshold: As his wish was, Romani desired only to be a human. While he doesn't have his former power back when he was Solomon, he still has knowledge on how to use some of them. When Ritsuka rampages due to her possession and nobody else can free her, Romani gives in and uses his latent connection with God to perform an exorcism.
  • It's All My Fault: While it was an innocent mistake that nobody else noticed, Romani feels this way when thanks to Jeanne Alter, everyone realizes Ritsuka was possessed the entire time. Blaming himself for never realizing.
  • Locked Outofthe Loop: He didn't know about the Heroic Spirit fusion project and regrets being unable to prevent what happened.
  • Mission Control: From events of Singularity F and on, Roman serves as this appearing as a hologram to communicate with Kratos and Mash while overseeing their Rayshifting.
  • Oh, Crap!: Has this when Jeanne Alter she senses a demon in Ritsuka...then turns and see 'Ritsuka' is up and lunges to attack him.

Heroic Spirits

     Mash Kyrielight (Shielder)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mash_3.png
A member of the Chaldeas Security Organization, resident Demi-Servant, kouhai to Ritsuka Fujimaru and as of now, student to Kratos in the ways of the warrior.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: While Galahad isn't entirely to different from canon, here, he's a bit more of a spectator rather than shutting himself off. Also, while he still hates his father and finds his Berserker-variant a disgrace, seeing his father howling in madness and being forced to kill him does affect Galahad more than he lets on. To the point where it's implied that one of the few regrets he had was not helping him in life.
  • Designer Babies: She was created specifically for the purpose of becoming a living catalyst so Chaldea could create a living Demi-Servant. While the experiment did work, Galahad was not happy about what had been done and refused to help Chaldea until Goetia and the Demon Pillars enacted the Incineration Order.
  • Everyone Has Standards: For all the spite he directs at Lancelot, Galahad is nonetheless deeply shaken when the Blades of Chaos cause the Berserker knight to lose his arms and puts an end to his misery through Mash who's left bawling after the deed.
  • First Friend: When given a chance to return to being Ritsuka's Servant, Mash immediately agrees. Seeing herself as Ritsuka's first Servant and contract.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Her primary weapon is a giant shield that is bigger than she is tall, but she can use it to a terrifying degree.
  • More than Mind Control: Technically, Mash has full control of her body. However, despite not taking action, some of Galahad's emotions can influence her movement or even her own emotions.
  • Near-Death Experience: When facing Lancelot, it's made VERY clear that Mash would have died had it not been a combination of Lancelot holding back and Mash being saved at the last second by Kratos.

     Cu Chulain (Caster)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fgo_caster_cu_chulainn_2.jpg
A hero from the Ulster Cycle of Celtic mythology, Ulster’s greatest warrior, and one of the Red Branch Knights. While he is best known for being the champion that wielded the demonic spear he received from Scathach, the Witch of Dún Scáith, she also trained him in Norse magics. Hence, he is said to have also been an adept of rune magic.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Downplayed. While Cu is still the same, unlike his Hollow Ataraxia variant, this Cu admits that he wasn't proud for killing his son and breaking his vows with Emer, his wife.
  • Bash Brothers: Forms this with Kratos and make a hell of a team together.
  • Blood Knight: Cu loves a good fight. Being ecstatic at facing strong foes and enjoys training with Kratos.
  • Druid: Thanks to his Class change, Cu is this as a Caster. He vocally complains about it, as he's weaker compared to his Class as Lancer. Though it does have its uses, as being a Druid was essential in stopping Baldur.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Not Odin himself, however, Cu all but states Odin isn't pleased seeing what his GOW counterpart did to his family. It's heavily implied that when meeting GOW!Baldur, Odin is rather saddened when meeting him.
  • The Paranoiac: Not Cu, but the man in his head, Odin. While Cu is willing to let Kratos keep his secrets, like his myth, Odin doesn't and abuses the Servant-Master contract to see into Kratos's memories.
  • Other Me Annoys Me: Odin is very displeased with his GOW counterpart. Considering GOW!Odin was an abusive, manipulative, sociopathic tyrant, it's hard not to see why.
  • Pretty Boy: Ritsuka comments that Cu is this, the man not being to bad-looking.
  • Put on a Bus: Inverted. Due to Ritsuka being put out of action and Kratos appearing, Odin has Cu stay with Chaldea instead of leaving since things have gone-off script.
  • Secret-Keeper: Due to Odin looking into Kratos's memories, including sensitive stuff, Cu for his part respectfully says nothing about what he knows of Kratos's life.
  • So Proud of You: It's implied that the pep-talk Cu gave to Baldur wasn't actually Cu, but Odin. Proud that his son stood up against his GOW counterpart.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Upon meeting Baldur, Cu (and Odin) admit that they do feel bad for the life Baldur led. Attesting that Baldur, while he needs to be defeated, is ultimately someone who was fucked over by his parents.

     Leonardo da Vinci (Caster)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/davinci1.png
Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian polymath whose genius, perhaps more than that of any other figure, epitomised the Renaissance humanist ideal. While they historically lived in the body of a handsome man, da Vinci said that The Mona Lisa represents the ideal of beauty that they pursued throughout life. Thus after becoming a Servant, da Vinci "redesigned" their body into its current form; for true genius transcends common understandings of appearance, gender and age.
  • Artificial Human: She made a duplicate puppet of herself which she pretends is her Master to remain in the present at Chaldea.
  • Insufferable Genius: Da Vinci is a bonafide genius and is very proud of this fact. She also really likes to remind people of how smart she is, which earns quite a bit of eye-rolling from the protagonist and Roman. However, unlike many examples of this trope, she's kind, caring, and socially adept... but no less full of herself.
  • Mission Control: Da Vinci's typical role in Chaldea is remaining at base, monitoring the situation and providing advice from the sidelines.

     Medusa (Rider)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/medusa_1.png
Youngest of the Gorgon sisters. Originally a chthonic deity, she and her sisters had to flee to a shapeless island due to the arrival of the Olympian deities and their fanatical faithful. Despite her beauty, she has been variously described as a serpentine monster who petrifies anyone foolish enough to gaze into her. Through it all, she is rather indifferent and would rather drink and read, and was also the only one of the three sisters to "grow".
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Unlike her Hollow Ataraxia variant, who liked Poseidon, this Medusa doesn't like him. It's later explained that Medusa actually did like Poseidon once and admitted she did fall for him. But when the chips were down and she was suffering because of Athena, Poseidon wasn't around to help, making her become bitter at him.
  • Chain Pain: Uses some chains as her main weapon against enemies. Being very good with it mind you.
  • Deadly Gaze: Can petrify people with a single look if she wanted to. Warning her comrades not to look at her when she has her blindfold off.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: When she first meets Kratos and realizes he's a God, she accuses him of tricking her, instantly ready to fight. It takes time, but Medusa soon realizes Kratos isn't like the other Gods she knew and slowly warms up to him.
  • Family of Choice: While it's unclear if the Pegasus is her actual son or just a gift in the story, Medusa still treats him with care and love.
  • Gorgeous Gorgon: To Kratos's surprise, this Medusa is a beautiful woman instead of the less than eye-pleasing variant from his dimension.
  • The High Queen: When told about her other self from Kratos, Medusa actually finds the idea of her being a queen amusing. Especially since this means she ruled over her sisters, where here she's a doormat to them.

     Jeanne d'Arc Alter (Avenger)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fh7t5ho.jpeg

  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: While Jeanne Alter from the game does feel fury and rage due to Gilles implanting these feelings, they were still false at their core. Here, his death and the betrayal from her Servants causes her to become more wrathful and undergoes her transformation as a real Avenger much sooner where in canon, she had just chosen the Class because she liked it.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Loses an arm from the resulting betrayal of Baldur. She makes do with her other arm and her powers.
  • Artificial Limbs: Since Jeanne Alter's left arm cannot regenerate, Da Vinci decides to make her a new one.
  • Become a Real Boy: It's suggested then claimed that despite having originally been a counterfeit Jeanne that Gilles made up, Jeanne Alter has become a real Servant due to his actions and her own character development. Slightly deconstructed as due to her complicated circumstances in becoming a true Servant, she became an Avenger and cannot regenerate her lost arm.
  • Chuunibyou: As Ritsuka realizes and Avenger proclaims, she finds German words cool for her new name simply because German words sound better in her eyes.
  • Detect Evil: It's revealed that during her creation, Gilles added some of the original Jeanne's abilities into Jeanne Alter. This allows Avenger to notice and discover that Ritsuka was being possessed by Assassin the entire time.
  • Evil Knockoff: Let's just say Jeanne Alter has a complex about this. More so since she discovered much earlier she was a fake the entire time.
  • God Was My Co-Pilot: Questions and nervously fears this, as she has no idea how to respond if it's true. Even reading the bible just to gain a better understanding of God if he might be her enemy or not.
  • Handicapped Badass: Thanks to Baldur's betrayal, Jeanne Alter was missing an entire limb during the entire first Singularity. It does little to actually slow her down in killing the enemy.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After being betrayed by Baldur and losing Gilles, Jeanne Alter at first joins Chaldea for revenge. Once the Singularity ends, she joins them full time.
  • Hoist by Their Own Petard: To have her summoned Servants obey her, Jeanne Alter has Gilles slap them with Madness Enhancement to control them more easily. When she faces Charles, and tries to get him to let her go or help out against Baldur, Charles refuses since the trait she forced on him makes him act otherwise. Jeanne Alter notes the irony in this.
  • Never Learned to Read: Like the original, Jeanne Alter can't read one bit.
  • Revenge: After being attacked by Baldur and left for dead, betrayed by her Servants, and losing Gilles, Jeanne Alter becomes consumed by genuine rage and hate that it causes her to become an Avenger.
  • Secret-Keeper: Is one for Romani, knowing his true identity as Solomon.
  • Spotting the Thread: While Jeanne Alter is the furthest from being a pure Saint, she could immediately tell that Romani's exorcism wasn't something a normal person can do. Claiming that what he did used God or one of his Angel's personal intervention. This forces Romani to secretly tell her who he truly is.
  • There Is a God!: After her life was saved by a cross from Charles, then somehow brought into Chaldea despite not having done so herself, Jeanne Alter thinks that maybe God had done so. She then proceeds to witness and learn who Romani really is.
  • Tsundere: Like canon, Jeanne Alter can actually be rather nice beneath her more violent traits. Not that she would ever admit it, with Da Vinci playfully noting Jeanne Alter is this trope.
  • Underestimating Badassery: When Avenger faces Charles, she assumes she'll beat him quickly due to him being a rather weak Servant. Cue him slowly gaining an advantage over her with the Assassin pointing out to Avenger that he was only weak because he killed normal people. But against sinners like her, he gains a conceptual advantage and nearly wins.
  • Wound That Will Not Heal: After having her left arm town off, Jeanne Alter at first seemingly can't regenerate it due to the stress and trauma of the situation. Later on, after Orleans, it's revealed that her arm genuinely cannot heal. Da Vinci claiming that due to her circumstances, Jeanne Alter's 'wound' isn't actually a wound, thus it cannot heal.

Enemies of the Human Order

     Lev Lainur Flauros
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/golev.png
A key member of Chaldea, who created the various systems they use to summon Servants and watch over history. However, he is revealed to have been the bomber that sabotaged Chaldea, and reveals to have a part in the incineration of Human History.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Many in Chaldea knew him as a supporting member that was kind. Upon the end of Fuyuki, Lev drops this act and makes it clear he sabotage Chaldea and gleefully berates Olga with great cruelty of her failures and death.
  • Break the Haughty: Lev's loss against Kratos has left the Demon Pillar both in rage and, despite claiming otherwise, a fear of the God after being nearly killed in his human form.
  • Evil All Along: Like canon, Lev was never on Chaldeas side. Admitting that he'd never been loyal to the organization, thus had no problem in getting nearly everyone killed during the explosion he set up.
  • Evil Is Petty: Even though Kratos is a God, against all the Demon God Pillars, alongside their King, Kratos can't actually beat them in a direct fight.. This doesn't stop Lev from trying to get Kratos killed in Orleans as payback for his defeat.
  • Humanity Ensues: While Lev won't admit it, the other Demon God Pillars point out him staying in human form causes him to be much more emotional. Which includes anger and rage at Kratos.
  • Kick the Dog: Bad enough that he crippled Chaldea already. But when he meets everyone at the end of Singularity F, he begins cruelly admitting his crimes. Taking a special kick in rubbing this in Olga's face and insults her for trying to deny it as she begs him not to.
  • Worf Had the Flu: As long as Lev remains human, he cannot actually exert his true power. Even so, the idea that he was still nearly killed infuriates Lev. The other Demon Pillars noting that he's actually staying in his human form so he could save power to use if he meets Kratos again.

Heroic Spirits

Fuyuki : Arturia Pedragon Alter (Saber)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/artoria_alter_1.png
An alternate version of Altria Pendragon, the King of Knights. This Altria has been corrupted by "All The Evils In The World", transforming her into a heartless tyrant.
  • Battle Aura: Altria Alter is constantly wreathed in an aura of black and purple/pink mana.
  • Cool Mask: She has a mask that covers the upper half of her face, and armor in the shape of fangs that covers her chin and jawline.
  • The Corruption: She is the result of Arturia being corrupted by Angra Mainyu's cursed black ooze, though her profile indicates that this drew out her suppressed negative emotions.
  • Death Glare: Her expression is almost always fixed in a stern scowl.
  • Graceful Loser: She takes her defeat in Fuyuki quite well, even smiling at and acknowledging her opponents as she fades away.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Altria Alter's eyes turn gold instead of their normal green, due to her Dragon Blood awakening as a result of the violent nature forced upon her by The Shadow.
  • Sword Beam: The power of her Noble Phantasm, Excalibur Morgan: Sword of Promised Victory, fires a blast of dark prana from her sword. After her animation update, it gets the same "pillar of light" appearance as Altria's Excalibur, albeit a "pillar of darkness".

     Orleans: Baldur (Alter Ego)
From Kratos' blood being used as a Catalyst, a formidable foe has come back to torment Kratos once more in the body of one of Jeanne's dear siblings.
  • Adaptational Badass: In regards to their curse: while in canon Baldur was unkillable from magical and physical threats, he could still be hit and even left temporarily 'dead'. Here, Baldur is utterly untouchable from anything aside from mistletoe. He can also feel again, which he takes for joy.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: While Baldur is a monster that needs to be put down, some Servants do feel bad for him considering his past. Upon looking through Kratos's memories, both Cu and Odin admit Baldur was done wrong. With Atalante helping him as she sees him as an abused child.
  • Fighting from the Inside: As a Pseudo-Servant, Baldur is a combination of himself, his Nasu-counterpart, and Jeanne's brother, Jean. The latter constantly attempts to break free from Baldur but fails, while Baldur's Nasu-counterpart gives up. A small pep-talk from Cu allows the Nasu!Baldur to fight back and help Chaldea defeat Baldur, weakening him.
  • It's Personal: Admits to Kratos that while he's mainly killing him to get back home, he's also doing it as payback for killing him just as he got his senses back and for preventing him from killing his mom.
  • Grand Theft Me: Is a Pseudo-Servant using Jeanne's brother, Jean, as a vessel. Baldur takes control of the body and is attempting to remake it into his own.
  • Jerkass Gods: Baldur isn't the nicest God around. Aside from Atalante, he cares very little for his allies and his quite crude. He also admits to Jeanne Alter that even if Lev hadn't promised him a trip back home by killing Kratos, he still would have killed her as a peasant shouldn't command a God.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: Unless mistletoe is involved, Baldur is literally untouchable by Chaldea. If not for Cu, then the chances of beating Baldur would very much have been more difficult, if not impossible.
  • No-Sell: Baldur, after years of living from sensory deprivation, already has gone mad. Meaning Jeanne Alter and Gilles' attempts in slapping Madness Enhancement to control him was already doomed to fail.
