What episode did the The Muppets Shout-Out featuring Stan and McGucket as Statler and Waldorf happen in? I don't see it on the page here.
Hide / Show RepliesTwo things, really.
1. Why is the page edit locked?
2. (And this is why I noticed the edit lock) why isn't the portal in Society of the Blind Eye mentioned? The episode aired about 6 months after Close Encounters of the Rick Kind, so that would count as a shout out. (On a similar note, there's a plumbus in Journal #3, though that really isn't surprising, since everyone has a plumbus)

Hop on over to this page and add them.In the Rick and Morty episode "Close Encounters of the Rick Kind", which aired in April 2014, we see some junk fly out of a portal- a question mark mug, a pen, and a notepad. Six months later, when the Gravity Falls episode "Society of the Blind Eye" premiered, we see Stan open the portal at the end... and a question mark mug, a pen, and a notepad get sucked in.
Not sure if it's a shout-out or just a coincidence: in Bobs Burgers season 2, episode 1 "The Belchies" (aired March 11, 2012), Kristen Schaal's character Louise, who's trapped in a well, wishes she had a grappling hook. In Gravity Falls season 1 episode 1 (aired June 15, 2012), Kristen Schall's character Mabel gets one.
Hide / Show RepliesLikely a coincidence. Both episodes would've been in production long before either of their respective staffs would know of the other one, and the scripts would be done way in advance.
An excellent example of Hilarious in Hindsight for Bobs Burgers, though.

Hide / Show RepliesWhich symbol? Most such coincidences are happenstances.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHas anyone noticed how the beginning of the Tales from the Crypt-esque episode is eerily similar to the beginning of Gregory Horror Show?
Curiosity brutally murdered the cat and stuffed it into a sack. Can this be used as a shoutout:
In Sock Opera, the preist outfit Dipper wears resembles the character Reverend Harry Powell from the movie "Night of the Hunter".
It's kinda obscure and I only thought of it after watching it recently (Anglofish)

- In the Dippers Guide to the Unexplained The Tooth, its so big it looked like it belonged to a titan.
Just because it's big isn't enough to call it a shoutout
I'm pretty sure the Pain Hole in Dipper vs. Manliness is a reference to the Pain Box from Dune.
