How come Waxing Lyrical's a production trope? I don't see it.

Probably should get working on that essay now...

The pages for Ska and 2 Tone seem kind of untidy. It might be better to change the Ska page into an article encompassing Carribean/Jamaican music in general, which could include information about reggae, sound systems, calypso and so forth.

Obviously 2 Tone would have to keep its own page, seeing as it's British music with Jamaican influences.

I should probably think of something witty to write here.

I think the tropes are a bit out of order (and in need of folderization) - it seems to me that, after the genre list, the tropes fall into six categories:

1. Composition Tropes (e.g. Common Time, Epic Riff, Driver's Gear Change)

2. Lyrics Tropes (e.g. Painful Rhyme, This Is a Song)

3. Production Tropes (e.g. Fading into the Next Song, Record of Loudness War)

4. Interpretation Tropes (e.g. all Cover Version tropes, In the Style of, Filk Song)

5. Narrative Tropes (e.g. Leitmotif, Triumphant Reprise)

6. Cultural Tropes (e.g. Fake Band, Garfunkel)

They seem a bit mixed up at the moment.

Yeah. I have a crazy idea here, but I'm going to group Melody, Pitch and whatever else there is as "basic tropes", while throwing Nose Yodeling and those others as "singing tropes". In fact, I'm gonna go do that now.

Probably should get working on that essay now...
