From YKTTW

Tzintzuntzan: To Sci Vo: should I add new tropes about pop music directly to the Music Tropes list, or to a new sub-list? (I'm not sure if we ever got consensus on this.)

Sci Vo: I would say, put them in Music Tropes for now, then YKTTW for a Pop Music Tropes sub-index when you have some there to point to. That'll get the most consensus for it.

Sci Vo: Since it's a red link, I can't tell for sure what's intended, but it seems to me that the Truck Driver's Gear Change would belong in Sound FX Tropes.
Kalle: I really, really think we should start moving off the artist pages to Music Of Note (if not their own separate index,) because it's only a matter of time before they start usurping the space meant for the actual tropes.
Bring The Noise: What is with all the redlinked artists on this page? Can we get them launched or delete them please?

Kilyle: Where the heck is the "everybody can hate on Country Music" trope and why isn't it on this page? (Or, if it's on this page and I just can't spot it, why hasn't SPOON been notified as to its inability to have a logically useful name?)

Xaris: Would anyone object to me making a sub-index for metal tropes?

Lordnecronus: Not at all. The less clutter, the better.

Alucard: Following that notion, I've done the same for the other genres. I've left Hard Rock because 1. rock isn't a problem with regards to size (yet) 2. I think of it as a legitimate over-genre and 3. rock should get a free pass for essentially creating most of the genres listed here.

Unfortunately, there are also artists listed under some of the genres, and they'll probably be indexed as their respective genre ('R.E.M. is a sub-trope of Alternative Rock', does that make any sense?). It might be smart to remove the artists as typified examples of the genre, and instead incorporate them into the main body of work (if they're influential enough to be listed, then they should have no problem finding their way into the main article).

Tonestronaut: Anybody mind if I add Blues, Jazz, and Rhythm & Blues genres? I'll write the articles first.
