“Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior: The iconic sequel from 1981, and the first to be released in the United States.”

Incorrect. MM 1 had a short run in the US in late 1980. It was distributed by American International Pictures. It’s the whole reason there is a version dubbed with American voices.

The individual movies should not redirect here. There should be a franchise Mad Max page for general tropes, and each film should stand alone on its own page.

So Film.Mad Max as a franchise page (Franchise/ is not suitable here) and Film.Mad Max 1 etc for the individual pages? That works.

Could someone explain this:

"* Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: All MFP officers carry a S&W .357 Model 28 revolver at all times. This could have been very useful to Max when he dropped his shotgun while facing the bike gang.

When does Fifi cajolé an investor? It's really not implied they don't have ammunition.

Also, in a deleted scene, Max takes several boxes of .357 and 12 Guage ammunition from MFP arsenal when he starts his Roaring Rampage of Revenge.

Also, the 'investor' is the commisionor, who is unhappy about spending the amount used to modify Max's Prusuit Special just to keep him on the force. They replaced the cars destroyed in the chase (in Real Life, the crew just shot the chase last).

Canon Discontinuity: In Beyond Thunderdome, Max's V8 Interceptor is once again whole.

V8 interceptor in beyond thunderdome?

where in the film does it show up? the car he is pulling with the camel team in the beginning is some kind of covered pick up truck or light suv. and what cars are seen in the movie are mainly patchwork, and the train was some kind of semi. so where does the last of the V8s show up?

This is factually incorrect:

===

  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: Everyone in Beyond Thunderdome apparently, as there's only one death in the whole movie. Given the high body/gore-count in the previous two movies, this has the unfortunate effect of making events appear slightly ridiculous.

    • The lone death, however, is pure Nightmare Fuel.
===

Blaster is killed in the Thunderdome. Before he died, Blaster impaled a spectator during the fight. One of the kids is swallowed by the sand. (Yes, one kid is pulled out of the sand but he (or she) is holding a piece of clothing which *another* kid was hanging onto. This last kid does not come back out.) At the end of the movie, some of the thugs die. The train rams one of the thugs' car, it explodes at high speed. The guy who was riding on the back is seen stuck in front of the train but the driver is gone, most likely dead. One of the thugs is catapulted over a parapet overlooking a steep incline. Again, speed, distance, height make it unlikely that he survived. Another one falls off a bridge, etc.

Beyond Thunderdome is not as "in your face" as the previous installments but death is present.
