Should we include a separate section n this page for tropes relating to the Deadpool short at the beginning?
Hide / Show RepliesThat might not be a bad idea to keep the tropes separate, as I don't think it warrants a page of its own.
Maybe someone can edit the entry for the Deadpool short? The "No Export for You" trope is kind of redundant now, I'm in the UK, saw Logan this afteroon, and the print I saw had the Deapool short.
There's no mistaking Ryan Reynolds' backside, believe me...
Some days are diamonds, some days are rocks.Tropers are already putting stuff for the teaser on Deadpool 2
Edited by jormis29I haven't seen the movie yet, so I might be wrong, but...judging by all of these tropes revolving about Big Bad Zander Rice and his actions, should he be considered a Complete Monster?
Hide / Show RepliesI would agree, considering he's also a Complete Monster in Innocence Lost, which was one of the sources of the adaptation.
Edited by AmbaryernoHe's a lot less of a villain in the movie than he is in the comics keep in mind. Also discussion about it on the thread in 2 weeks. We shouldn't really be talking about this right now.
Did Charles seem more lucid or coherent to anyone else when he was avoiding taking his anti-seizure meds? If so, then No Medication for Me is not only applicable but borderline justified (only borderline because Xavier transmits while seizing)
Doesn't this count as a Genre Deconstruction of the superhero movies?
Hide / Show RepliesI would say so, especially if you consider the direct Take That! Logan makes when he looks at Laura's comicbooks.
The film's summary on iTunes pegs Nathanial Essex as the Big Bad.
Hide / Show RepliesNo other official synopsis says anything about it, while Word of God outright says that Essex is NOT in the film.
Are we sure the movie is set in 2024? I doubt things would change this much after a year, 21 years however might.
Hide / Show RepliesWhile I agree 1 year after the good future in Do FP is a pretty tight crunch, this is what we have from Word of God. Until we get official news otherwise (either Word of God again, or the movie comes out) that's the word on the setting.
It's entirely possible it may even BEGIN in 2024, but then skip ahead a few years for the story itself.
Well, now it's saying 2029, which makes a little more sense I suppose but I really hope it's not canon, you know takes place in a third timeline possibly, I know that's wishful thinking but that's how I feel.
Well now a latest TV spot has Logan saying that a new mutant hasn't been born in 25 years, but that's impossible, they said it takes place in 2029, only 6 years since Days of Future Past, so how could that happen? But the director and Hugh Jackman mentioned before that it's another universe, they confirmed it so in an interview.
As I said above, Mangold has already confirmed it's the same timeline, and Jackman's remarks were misconstrued. We'll have to watch the movie to see how it all actually fits together.
Guess so, still it be nice if it really isn't canon and that the X-Man actually have the bright future they deserve
There are some entries that reveal that corn was modified to kill the mutant gene that are not marked as spoilers.
