So just out of curiosity, with mentions of Kinder World being a hate fic to Spectrum and the mention of Nightmare Moon beating Celestia I just gotta know. Where did these mentions come from? Were they confirmed by Word of God or is bullshit coming over the horizon?

A moderator has done so. In the future, head over to this thread to post edit requests.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Re Cut: Since when do we care about whether an author wants us to have a Page on his work? It doesn't Look unpublished after all-the only exception to this rule.

Some people are cool with wiki pages being made about them and/or their works, some aren't; I'd probably be cool with it... but he found out about it (because someone linked him) and he's not cool with it for whatever reason. And he found it before it's become this intricately-linked work, so there is very little reason that either of us can think of to not just hit the delete key.

Deleting it on request is just common courtesy - he doesn't want it here, and in the absence of a system with which to remove it himself, the admins should just respect his wishes, and remove it as requested. An "opt-out" policy which is usually obliged by most decent site administrators. And noticeably easier than *not* deleting it, because it didn't get cut, and now we're discussing this in more depth than we really need to. One mouse click and none of this had to happen.

I think I'm beginning to see why he's not a fan of this site and it's users, you've all got a very strange attitude about things.

EDIT: Also, reading into some of the listed tropes, quite a few are outright wrong or fitting only in name.

Why doesn't he get a TV Tropes account himself, show he's the writer and request the page be deleted?

Apparently because for some reason he doesn't like this site. I think we should take his word for it and delete this just to be safe, and respect his wishes.

Reading what his reply was quoted as he doesn't seem to be a very likeable person, I'm sorry but it's true. I bring it up because thus far he wouldn't come onto the site to state his case, and the way he acted when he was told no I think would make us less likely to carry out his wishes.

I'm an aspiring author myself, I really do want to finish the novel I'm writing, have it published, and I know how TV Tropes and the web itself works. People who read, like and dislike it would discuss it, give their thoughts on it. I can no more censor what's written than I can go twelve rounds with a Slayer, nor would I have or expect the right to do so.

Yeah, the idea of a publisher having the right to tell us what we can trope about is just ludicrous. Nobody gets to do that. If it is published, anyone can write it up.

So correct them. That's the thing. It can be edited really easily.

Not much point regardless. The fic is gone, so this page should probably come down.

Although I myself would love to have my own future work get a place on here, there's a teeny tiny problem with that according to some people I've discussed this problem with. I'm not the author of this particular work and neither are you. I should not have assumed he'd appreciate TV Tropes limelight and thus the appropriate people should have just listened to and fulfilled his request.

We've already seen the page for "Beating the Heat" deleted despite it still being up on its site, (for reasons I'm unaware of though) so why not this one?

Beating The Heat was cut under the Content Policy. This work is not a violation of that policy, so it won't be cut; the page for a (once-)published work is not deleted upon request, sorry.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
