openVictorian England PS2 title? (Resolved maybe?) Videogame
I know for sure it was a PS2 title, released roughly around the same time the Sly Cooper games were.
The game takes place in Victorian England. The protagonist is a boy blond hair, no shoes, white shirt and brown pants, extremely dirty from soot, mud etc.
The game features an Absurdly Spacious Sewer with giant rats as an enemy. The sewers had huge copper tubes sll over and brown walls; it was pretty disgusting.
Another common enemy are Monster Clowns. I remember that a duo of them are fought as minibosses in a circus tent; a crowd was watching them perform in s circus tent and the boy springs from his seat, points at them and loudly accuses them of being evil. Cue boss fight.
The gameplay was Hack'n'Slash and the graphics more towards realistic, but with a gold-brown saturation.
For some reason, when I think of that game, Oliver Twist comes to mind but I don't think there's actually any relationship.
Edited by LermisopenPixel Fantasy Game Videogame
The game I'm thinking of was released relatively recently, probably a few years ago. You play as a female fairy and are helped by other female fairies that are your friends, especially during the final boss fight. In the last phase, you get taken to a dimension resembling hell and the boss turns into a dragon with a wicked sounding name, with his health bar at the top of the screen. I think your allies spend a good portion of the boss fight charging up a special attack and giving you a shield/buffs while you fight him.
It's basically a 16 bit fantasy game with some gothic elements thrown in. It's quite a unique one but I can't remember the name for the life of me.
Edited by ToltecSpiritopenVHS strategy guide for NES games Videogame
I remember seeing a VHS tape showing NES game strategies uploaded to You Tube years ago, but I can't find it now, on You Tube or off.
It had an "all-star team" consisting of six kids/teens wearing t-shirts and shorts who played the games while a narrator introduced them and gave the strategies. The tape started out with a really cheesy intro that showed the team striking poses and doing air guitar, as well as stop-motion footage of the games they'd be playing. The team's captain was the oldest, a blonde-haired teen named Ron. There are also a girl with '80s hair names Jennifer and a short blonde girl named Sharon who introduced herself with "Yo, dudes!" The games they covered included Legendary Wings, Golgo 13 and Rampage.
resolved An obscure video game where a character regrets her past actions (Found!) Videogame
There was a somewhat obscure video game (maybe an RPG?) that I'm pretty confident that there was a TV Tropes page for a few years ago. But I forgot to bookmark it. The game has an Asian setting in 19XX (Not sure of the actual year). It has two protagonists: a male and a female, both went to the same school. Back in their school days, they had an oppressive government or something along those lines. So some of the students of this school and their teacher started a secret club to rebel against the government's unfairness. Later in the game, it is revealed that the female protagonist had been the one to betray the club and all of the members (because of jealousy or envy of someone else?), and that the male protagonist had been one of the club members and was arrested. The male protagonist is nearly dead, and the female protagonist had actually returned to the school to lament on her past actions that took most of her classmates' lives. That's the most I can recall about it. Please help!

I remember someone playing a game as a kid on a computer that had better graphics than anything I've seen at the time. I remember metallic rooms and interesting looking gun designs. I don't remember there being any fighting in the rooms he traveled through, but I think he showed me a couple of the weapons on empty rooms he traveled through, maybe he cleared them before. I think there was some kind of gun that launched deadly disc blades. I think there were some windows in one of the rooms that had some Nevada-type desert landscape with mountains or something but it could have just been sunlight with no landscape visible underneath, could have filled in some blanks in my memory and assumed it involved aliens, but I don't really know for sure. I expected to experience a fun weapon like this in the Halo series, being a Scifi series with aliens, but it didn't have the interesting futuristic guns I remembered so it's not that. Anyone got any ideas? The main console out at the time that I knew of was the N64 and the reflections seemed beyond that system's capabilities from what I remember, and I had a couple games that required it that were out at the time too: Jet Force Gemini and Donkey Kong 64.
It could be possible that I remember the graphics being better than they were though, but I think it was probably a PC game.
openiOS puzzle and city-building? Videogame
Trying to find a series of at least two games I once played, I'm pretty sure on iOS. It was a puzzle game where you upgraded a town by gathering resources via puzzle games. I think they were "draw a connecting line" type puzzles, and I remember that upgrading to get new types of resources was a big deal, both unlocking them, and then doing matches that would generate more. I think the second one might have had a more exploration-y bent and multiple towns, but the first one was just the one. There were various items you could research and manufacture to do things like clear "junk" tiles or harvest all of a specific resource or any number of things. I absolutely cannot remember their name, and checking my voluminous iOS purchase history has turned up nothing.
openSpace-Themed First Person Shooter for Kids Videogame
My friend is trying to remember the name of a space-themed first person shooter for kids. He remembers it having very cartoony 3D graphics. He also thinks it might have been an edutainment game with on-rails shooting and floating barrels, but he's not sure about that. He does remember aliens, lazers, and puzzles though.
openOld PC game using full motion video where you are a flying robot Videogame
Hello everyone,
I've been trying to find that videogame for ages: it is a (very) old point-and-click videogame using full motion video in which the player is a flying robot. You are the companion of two other humans, and IIRC your spaceship kinda crash on an alien ship, and you and your companions are trying to restart the engine while exploring the place (and since you are a flying robot, you can easily go to places they can't). I don't remember much about it, except that in the very beginning your companions (one male, one female) boot you up and you can answer Yes/No to continue (every other options will lead them to shut you down). Ring a bell?
Edited by NonoRobotopenChildren's Educational Library Game. (Edit: Solved!!) Videogame
Ok so I played this game on the children computers at my library. The game has 2 main characters a boy and girl who you lead around point and click style. They also have a talking flying yellow rectangle that follows them around. (It might be a backpack or something) The game taught math and science. The girl had an uncle (I think) Who took them to this goo island where the game takes place. The island is very Mayan Temple themed. This was all at a 3rd grade level. Every time you solve a puzzle you get goo beetles you need to collect to finish the game. Some of the mini games included figuring out different parts of a life cycle, logic puzzles, strategy, etc. The goo was hurting the characters on the island. I vividly remember a bunch of anthropomorphic flowers who sung a song about the goo that infected the island. I only ever played this game at the library on children computers, which have preset games on them and can't access the internet. The goo beetles came in all different colours that were needed for a final puzzle. The game also had a squeal for 4th graders that focused more on history and took place in a desert. PLEASE let me know if you remember anything about this. Thanks!
Edited by TheGoodUsernamesAreTakenopena magical bakery game Videogame
so ur this magical girl with a long blonde hair and purple dress. Strongly reminds me of rapunzel, but the game is old af... like it's back when I am in elementary (I am not in college). So the magical girl is using her magic to run a bakery, and you sell em. There's a lot of magical properties, with colors of purple. The game is really simple, it's really similar with the usual bakery flash game but with beautiful colors of purple, and magic.
openForrest Games? Videogame
It was an indie game revealed at e3 2018 I want to say, about surviving in the woods. The short teaser had a pot boiling on a stove and a bear with glowing eyes.
Edited by James1968openA stat building game based around music Videogame
There was this web game that might have been called Rock Band Game or Rockstar Game (naturally trying to Google got me Rock Band and Rockstar Games, but both are unrelated). It was a text only game - you would come up with a band name, then have them "practice", play concerts, and make albums- the more you practice, the better your albums are and the bigger concerts you play. You'd get to pick a set amount of song titles for "albums", and the songs would get a number rating next to them. I want to find it to see if it's still playable (doubtful) or if the fake bands and albums are still archived somewhere so I can maybe find my old one.
Edited by MikeKopenPoint and click adventure with two main characters? Videogame
Saw this maybe like 5 years ago. It has this one girl who dresses up in a nice dress to be a sacrifice to this huge metal alien thing and this boy who lives alone in a spaceship. And it turns out the thing is the spaceship that the boy lives in.
openA few video games I vaguely remember from long ago Videogame
There are 3 particular games that I remember watching but not necessarily playing from a ways back, but I never found out what they were. My memory of them is very hazy but I'll try my best to describe them accurately.
The first game was on either N64 or PS 1. I'm pretty sure it was a first-person shooter. The level I remember was some sort of office-ish building with an elevator with a green light. There was a woman who kept following the player who didn't attack but was apparently an enemy(I think the guy playing referred to her as an Evil Twin). Eventually the guy playing cornered the woman in a room and melee'd her(apparently other forms of attack didn't work). It was unintentionally funny because the cheap blood effects made it look like she had incredibly rosy cheeks.
The second game was on the PS 2 and I think the guy playing it said he was at the finale, which took place in a Colosseum-like place. It may have been a Prince of Persia game, or at least something with a similar style. When the hero got to the end the villain(some Pope or priest guy) got so spooked he slipped over the edge to his death. The actual Final Boss then appeared, who was some 12-foot tall evil god/demigod with violet energy waves.
The third and final game was something I played at an electronics store, either on PS 2 or OG Xbox. I think it may have been a third-person shooter. The game, or at least the level I played, took place in what appeared to be some kind of house filled with toys. It was not clear to me if the heroine was supposed to be a doll or if she was a human woman who had been shrunk.
openEducational web game Videogame
There was this website a while back full of educational games that you had to make an account for. The most distinct thing I remember about it was that one character in it had a living vehicle friend who he summoned through some kind of bouncy ball. Two games I remember taught you about dinosaurs and another about dental hygiene.
I also remember the character designs remind me of Arthur.
Edited by sifsandopenCutesy On-Rails light gun game for the wii? Videogame
I remember this one video game i had when i was very young, which was a on-rail light gun game for the wii. It had a very cartoony style, and was about a clown who was tired of being laughed at, so he took over the circus/theme park he worked at with a whole bunch of robots, and a boy and a girl had to liberate the theme park. i remember the first half of the game took place during the day, and the second half at night. there were 5 levels, with a boss at the end of each, and you had to repeat them when it became night. i remember distinctly that one level took place in a spooky hall of mirrors, and another level had a boss of a guy riding a big ape.

Because he's not done getting ready...
I think it was a sprite-based RPG, but I"m not sure.
I'm sure I read about it on this site, though.
If I knew what trope I was describing, I think I'd be able to find it...

I remember this being either a DS or PSP game. My knowledge of it is incredibly limited. I remember there’s being 4 party members and a lot of banter between cast members, and I don’t think any one member was a designated PC. There was an area populated by lion people and an area where any NPC that spoke to the party turned into snakes. I also remember there being a spell that took control of one of your party members, since there was an animation of them getting down on their knees and bowing. I remember the art style being a bit ugly and cartoony. Any ideas?
Hello all.
I have vague memories of a game from the ZX Spectrum or Atari era. Graphics were wire-frame, and the game-play revolved around constructing a team of modular robots to escape a facility.
Enemies were other robots that you can take parts from once defeated, and if you strayed out of bounds too far you were beset by nigh-indestructible robots that looked like manic teddy bears.
I can't remember anything more as I don't think myself and the friend who owned the game got particularly far. Thank you for any help in finding this!
