Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

Um... NO? Especially since they're not characters?
Space Battles Dot Com fanworks (unnoficial) index in my Sandbox. You already brought this up almost two years ago. I would normally say you should give it up, but you do have a point as they are indeed not characters (though I don't really think deleting them is necessary either).
Edited by Piterpicher Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods Of Incremental)They clearly don't have characterization at all(even mooks have more at times, though those often do not get character pages either unless they're a more specific one). Species sometimes do(I know there's been a debate on what should count for those. I don't remember the exact ruling on that).
These, that said, aren't even close to characters, by any definition. They shouldn't be on those pages. Like, anything of note has somewhere else they can go. This also sounds like some of these particular type of objects might be poor examples as well.
^ I feel obliged to point out that there is still zero consensuses about limiting character pages to just characterisation tropes.
Having said that, however, I have been a bit iffy about troping things like object on character pages unless they are specifically tied to a single character/group/etc.
The problem seems to be that many people don't want to trawl through the alphabetised trope list on the Work page to find out every trope that applies to a specific thing that they are interested in and want them all collected in one place. As such I have often thought of suggesting the creation of location, item, faction, etc. subpages for such things and keeping character pages for every trope applying solely to specific named characters.
^ Well, the consensus is that only characterization tropes count. The issue is that nobody knows what a "characterization trope" is.
I can tell you what it's not though, and it's not inanimate objects.
Edited by WarJay77 Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness^ Well characterisation trope (tropes about a character's characterisation) vs. character tropes (any trope that applies to the character) anyway but that is beside the point.
I do think a specific Objects subpage could be a good compromise in this particular situation.
@piterpitcher My bad i forgot that i already brought it up :/
Edited by Silverblade2^ Eh...I'm not sure.
My philosophy when it comes to character pages is that they're only warranted when there's enough character tropes on the work page to justify a split. They should never exist just to exist.
