That sounds more like it could be Wrap It Up (the work gets a last-minute finale) or Left Hanging (the ending leaves numerous questions unanswered). Cut Short is usually for works that get cancelled before they could get an ending.
Edited by WoodKnapp94Seconding Wrap It Up when it's because of outside factors like the series getting canceled- Cut Short is when it just suddenly ends
Cosmic Deadline overlaps, but also applies to planned endings- basically it's the tendency for plot threads to mostly end at the end of a work, which gets really noticeable when the pacing suddenly gets accelerated.
Does Cut Short cover instances where a work is given the axe, and is forced to quickly wrap up the story, often leaving a lot of plot threads hanging and story/character arcs not being concluded satisfactorily? This is apparently a common occurence in Shonen Jump mangas where titles that consistently rank low in the polls are axed.
