Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Honestly didn't see it because it was buried under all the other threads.
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread! Then again, it hasn't been using since March 3rd of this year...
(Don't) take me home.We just need to bump it then.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDid anything brought up in the thread actually get dealt with, though?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99ยขIDK. One of the biggest issue with cleanup threads is that a lot of people just say "Hey, this needs fixing" but don't actually make the effort to get it fixed.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhat would a Berserk Button cleanup do that simply removing misuse them you see it wouldn't?
I'd guess that's why cleanup stalled. Unless misuse is still rampant enough to warrant a rename, what else can be done other than cut misused examples when we see them?
Edited by Ferot_DreadnaughtIt can help to determine if an example actually is misuse, give people a place to discuss cuts they feel were invalid, and act like other cleanup threads do.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAnd a place to point to for disputed cuts.
I try to remove misuse for this trope whenever I see it.
It's difficult because many people use it for "character gets angry over x once" or "character is mildly annoyed" or "character gets angry about a thing that enrages every sane person"; completely ignoring that it has to be 1. extreme anger, 2. over a relatively minor/insignificant thing, 3. shown repeatedly.
It's also hard to find the correct trope (for the given example context) if you don't know the work. We do have many other Anger Tropes and it's likely one of them fits the narrative. If not, there is a possibity it's a missing trope because characters getting angry about something will always carry some narrative meaning, and it's likely there's a pattern.
I agree about everything that was said about cleanup efforts and cleanup threads. Whoever is reading this, please help fix this wiki and lend a hand. Projects and Trope Repair Shop need your help. :-)

I've just seen a whole lot of examples that are "character gets angry about something most people would be angry at". It's ridiculously common its not even funny.
