No, that is intentional. It is because TLP is primarily for tropes and those go in Main/. If you are writing a work page draft in TLP or anything that doesn't go in te Main/ namespace, you need to copy everything on the draft and create the page manually in the corresponding namespace and then discard the draft instead of launching it.

I know I've launched media pages from TLP, so that explanation appears to be lacking. As I recall, you still have to copy+paste to the right url, but launching allows you to link the TLP with the discussion subpage.

I am pretty sure that doesn't work with the current system. If the Main/ namespace is the only one allowed on TLP how does it get attached to a namespace like Series/? Especially since Main/ redirects to work pages are not allowed anymore.

I think the only possible way is a Main/ redirect, and those aren't used anymore. The old system apparently didn't just immediately create the page for you, so maybe back then you could do non Main/ namespaces, but...

No, it wasn't created. I did something wrong on Lupin III: Dead or Alive, so it didn't work there, but got it right on the other page.

Sounds like you were using the older system then. Nowadays, when you launch something, it instantly creates the page in Main/. There's no way to not.

That had to be the older system if that happened back in 2014. TLP was still YKTTW back then and wasn't overhauled yet.

^^ It'd be cool to be able to launch other namespaces out of the TLP, though that's honestly a low priority issue compared to every other improvement the TLP needs. It's not really a big deal to have to copy + paste a draft's formatting rather than launch it directly.

I’m probably missing something, but I thought you didn’t need to use Trope Launch Pad to create media pages. What exactly was the issue here?
You don't but if you need help, you are more than welcome to use TLP for media pages, useful notes, and other non trope pages.
