The hindsight tropes as a whole tend to have this problem.

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.

Yeah, I think the hindsight needs to come later- that's where the hindsight part comes in, after all.

Last I checked, it was decided Hindsight and related only applies to the work made so, not the work or event that makes it so.

This has been discussed before. Adding examples because a given work made a previous event funnier is misuse of the trope. The same rule applies to Harsher in Hindsight and "Funny Aneurysm" Moment.

At best, they might go on the pages for the earlier work, but this misuse is very prevalent.

Sorry for the bump, but I was reading the Spoilers Off page when I found this: "On that note, when a moment in an earlier episode/installment is made Harsher, Heartwarming or Hilarious in Hindsight, made into a "Funny Aneurysm" Moment, or made more clear by a later installment, the respective reaction goes onto the YMMV page for the later installment; the earlier installment should never reference the later one for these reactions."

It was added to the page in June 2019. Not only does it contradict Fighteer's statement that HIH only applies going forward, but it also has nothing to do with the page's topic itself. Is it okay to remove?
