Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Hmm. I might be overthinking it, but after reading through all of Edit Banned... Is there any relation to JIKTV, banned for a single issue wonk of bashing this same person?
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessYes. I PM'd Fighteer about it and he said it's a positive match.
Already same thought immediately. Take a look at KJ Tropes' own troper page. That was an immediate red flag to me.
I removed the Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful! entry, with a note that re-adding it in a neutral tone would be acceptable.
^^ Man, they sure managed to fly under the radar, then... guess we need to keep an eye out.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIt wouldn't be a bad idea to keep an eye on that page.
I'd normally ask for a lock, but it might not be needed if new information about the page itself comes up. I guess?
I mean, I'll just be keeping an eye out for pro-wrestling fans with a "J" and "K" in their name for now on. Just to be safe.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhen did you change that, Michael Katsuro? A while back?
If so, they are edit warring(which means this page is worth watching too).
And sounds good, War Jay 77.
Irene: What I meant was that I changed it after reading about it here just an hour or so back. So far, things are fine. No edit warring.
Edited by MichaelKatsuroWhat page did you edit(could you link it?)? I can't find your edit. Maybe something happened where it didn't save?
Good action, regardless. Discussion page is the best call. :)
Oh, I see. I was thinking of the https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Wrestling/TrishStratus article, which is a different one that the user also put inproper information on. The one brought up in the first post of this thread. That will need to go too. I can look at it when I'm not typing on a built-in mouse(so a bit later when I use my separate mouse). It makes highlighting a pain and all.
Edited by IreneI am removing the entry and bringing it to the regular Discussion.
Sure, I can link it. The page in question is Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!, and you can see my edit on the history page, which is here.
So was KJ Tropes banned without a chance to make a public defense, leaving behind two dozen stubs?
That would explain the lack of activity in September. Not saying everything has must be done on a schedule, we're not doing term papers or filing taxes. Everyone knows I leave stuff undone here, using this wiki daily is not something I have sworn to, nor is the "follow" feature appealing to me. All the same I am still able to go back and work on things when I remember, am reminded and or feel like it. I can be on here for several days in a row or "follow" pages if I want to. A bunch of pages never followed up on is something I'd like to avoid.
In this case, no defense was allowed because he was ban-evading and that's an instant boot out of here.
I mean, a defense was allowed. When he was banned as JIKTV. He chose instead to ban-evade.
Saying no defense was allowed is a bit disingenuous.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.^ yeah, I meant no offense was allowed in this case. Like you said, he could have (and might have?) taken it to the Edit Banned thread, but evaders get no second chances.
I had a feeling they were a ban evader. I took it to a mod, but they told me there was no clear connection to any ban evaders. Did they wait until after that to use the same computer, or something?
Edited by pikachu17 17 pikachus all in a row.Errr, yeah, Indirect, did you actually read the thread to find out why they were banned?
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhat I haven't read is evidence JIKTV has evaded bans before. Or maybe I have and just forgot about it? I wasn't for banning JIVTV, I remember that much, but I was for him laying off the Trish Stratus page. Still, I do remember finally getting him away from it only for him to banned for something else. The only ban evader I can recall with clarity is Johnnyfog, who I believe openly mocked moderation.
And yes, if this is ban evasion on J Ik TV's part I get it, but as coincidental as it is(Trish Stratus, again. I'm at this thread because I myself was reminded of JIKTV by KJ Tropes and checked the Stratus page history on a whim), I had still planned to give KJ Tropes a chance, to state a case, to make a defense.
These new pages, despite the oddly similar titling, write ups, indentation and spacing, were being curated and cross wicked more reliably than JIKTV did, featured more obscure subject matter and in some cases KJ Tropes was removing JIKTV potholes I found annoying myself but couldn't think of justifiable reasons to remove. My initial thought was that someone smarter than JIKTV had come to the wiki via a page he created and came to the conclusion that was how to go about adding to the wiki. I only became more suspicious when the curating and cross wicking suddenly stopped, and I was reminded of the stubs JIKTV had "gifted" us.
And here we are. Suspicions or not, I did want to read a defense from KJ Tropes. I was under the assumption this would be the first offense, if guilty. I know from experience that JIKTV's views are not unique to him. For all I know there is some Trish Stratus hater club somewhere out there on the internet. I've stumbled across forums centered around bashing The Dog Whisperer, a website called Rachel Ray Sucks and a "society" dedicated to hating on a Robotec character, so it wouldn't even be the strangest example of it's type.
I believe a mod would be best suited to explain the situation here.
Our rules are explicit. If you were suspended or banned and make a new account, you are automatically banned on that account too. There is no appeal, no "chance to explain". This is an absolute policy with no exceptions.
Well, that's not quite true. I think we may have allowed it exactly once, but that user ended up being banned again anyway, neatly proving the point.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I believe KJ has recieved at least 1 other suspension as well, so it wouldn't even be a first offense...

KJ Tropes' recent edits on Trish Stratus have been pretty defensive and complaining/insulting.
Their entry for Medal of Dishonor doesn't seem too bad in and of itself (assuming that's an okay trope to list) but their edit reason, "Don't say, "Trish wasn't actually in the match, she didn't deserve that." The whole mess could have been avoided if it had been a Bradshaw-Nowinski singles match. Bradshaw may be an asshole, but he had about a decade of experience at that point (he debuted in 1992), so he and Chris could have held the match together." seems needlessly defensive and unrelated.
After this, their entry for Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful! includes her starting the "Molly Holly 'big ass' garbage" and including her fans dismissing criticisms, which again seems unrelated. The edit reason is "This is the truth. You can not claim that what I described did not happen."
