I don't think it needs to be cut just because the website is down, as it definitely existed at one point.

If it was moved to a new name, so should our page. And any broken links need to be fixed or removed.

If the new wiki is an official successor, then maybe moving the page and leaving the old name as a redirect would be a good idea. I doubt the mods will just cut the page completely, since the Wayback Machine could probably be used to view older versions of the old site, and archives have generally been an argument against cutting works pages.

Our page is a little too busy telling everyone how awesome that wiki is. I am generally skeptical of articles on wikis and other informational sites, however tongue in cheek, because the content is rarely tropable. For example, this particular article mainly consists of trope names followed by external links and a short, unhelpful explanation.

It reads like a marketing piece, not a wiki article. As far as I'm concerned, it needs to be cleaned up or cut for violating our rules on Auto-Erotic Troping. I do appreciate the irony that a site designed to celebrate trolling and creepypastas would have an article on our wiki that is subtly trolling us, but that's not enough to justify keeping it even if it is intentional.

I recommend taking it to the cleanup thread.

^Yeah, that's a good point. I admit that I was mistakenly thinking of the policy for how properly tropable Web Original works (mainly stuff that isn't in either the Wiki/ namespace or the Website/ namespace) are handled when it comes to whether they do or don't get cut.

Edit: I posted a vote in favor of cutting the Trollpasta Wiki page in the websites cleanup thread. I'm holding off on adding it to the crowner in case further posts comment on whether it has a chance of being salvaged.

Many of the pastas should probably be broken into their own pages. For example, Blood Whistle has a lot of examples.

^Multiple pastas (albeit usually not jocular ones, as far as I know) already have their own pages, so there's precedent for that split. The argument here is that a hosting site for them may not be tropable on its own.
