The line at the bottom of the description "explains" it. Basically saying that people can theorize certain characters under this.

Of course but... idk, doesn't seem that different from most symbolism-ridden tropes.

Oh, I'm not saying that it's a good reason.

Should we discuss whether to remove if from Just for Fun?

I support making it a normal trope. The examples aren't being used for speculation, they're real examples of the trope. (Well, I found one that might be a bit iffy, but only because it sounds more like Barrier Maiden.) As far as I can tell, it was only put on Just for Fun because of one line in the description.

It's wild to find a trope that's being misused by having examples that are actually good.

It already is one. It's just on the JFF index

I see no point on having it listed there, so just remove it?

I see no reason why it should be indexed on there. Perhaps in its very oldest state, Tzadikim Nistarim was written up like a JFF page rather than a trope page. Its addition to the index predates page history, so it's hung around for a while.

The page is so barebones and old I'm not really sure what is and isn't an actual example.

The examples are mostly so partial-context that it seems difficult sussing out what's a genuine example and what's a shoehorn.

It's already under Sandbox. Not Thriving Pre 2010 Tropes, so it is set to get a proper cleanup/decision about it eventually.

^^ + ^ Well, that's a different problem.

Plugged into wayback and it was never written to be JFF.

The sandbox is a project of mine. I'm in the process of fleshing it out but I kinda got hung up about why it would be in JFF. I thought that maybe I misunderstood the definition, but it seems I didn't. I'll remove it from JFF.

I've gathered from the examples and description that it's about direct references to a specific bit of Judeo-Christian religious tradition, either in Hebrew (the trope name) or as the '36 righteous souls'.

In any case, I think my question has been sufficiently answered. Thanks, everyone.
