The "should < 3 Tear Jerker items get their own page automatically" is not something that we've resolved yet, afaik...but those items should be somewhere on the Downward Spiral pages, not left in the parent page.

I'm pretty sure Synchronicity was referring to putting the Tear Jerker examples on YMMV.The Downward Spiral if there aren't enough to put on a dedicated subpage for the album (at least pending a resolution to the debate she mentioned over what the minimum amount of examples is, if there is a minimum), and I think that would be a good idea.

Answer is yes, btw. It doesn't look like an edit war because Time Lord Victorious did not add them to the page beforehand.
If a creator (the band) has entries for a specific work (the album), the entries should be at that work. Someone looking for tropes for The Downward Spiral should not have to navigate away from its pages to find them.
Already added the entries from the band's Moments pages that I could find on the album's YMMV page.

When I created a Nightmare Fuel page for The Downward Spiral, I removed all of the Moments item examples in its YMMV page due to them already being mentioned (with better detail, on top of that) in the Moments pages of its band Nine Inch Nails. Then Time Lord Victorious came in and re-added the Tear Jerker entry for the song "Hurt" (albeit with an even shorter description) in The Downward Spiral's page.
What I want to ask is, what's the policy on including album-specific examples on both the album's YMMV page and the Moments pages for the artist (when the album doesn't have its own page for the itemnote )? And, based on the re-add of the "Hurt" entry, is an edit war at play here?
