Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
This has happened before. Apparently, they save the sandbox stuff offline and write it offline, and then bulk update later, so edits in the interim end up undone by accident.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness...Isn't the point of a sandbox so editing can be done on the wiki itself, but without touching non-sandbox articles?
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Yes, yes it is. But that's how they do it, so, idk.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI suspended them since this has happened at least twice; they said it "probably won't happen again" (in the Not So Different TRS thread) but it did anyway.
Edited by GastonRabbit Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I really don't think we should be editing users' personal Sandbox pages, at least without notifying them. That's kind of rude. Wick cleanups don't have to be that comprehensive.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That might need a further discussion, because whenever people ask about it on TRS, Septimus tells us that everything, Sandboxes included, need to be cleaned.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness^^A part of me gets that logic (it's not on an official page so no harm no foul), but I also think it's helpful to remove tropes that no longer exist everywhere, especially from sandboxes that are acting as drafts. Better the troper know sooner rather than later that a trope they want to use doesn't exist/has been changed.
Current policy is wipe everything, but if the mods want to hammer out or change the policy, I have no qualms. This question was 75% to check whether I did something wrong anyways
Edited by amathieu13I actually just made a thread so we can discuss the sandbox stuff more in depth.

I'm doing wick cleaning on Bald Of Awesome given the TRS thread's decision to rename and redefine it due to rampant misuse and ZCE. During my cleaning I came across Nightelf 37 who's keeping the page for their own use. No biggie, I erased the link and explained why 2 days ago.
Today I'm doing some more wick cleaning and without really noticing, I ended up back on that same sandbox because nightelf37 re-added the link (amongst a litany of other edits). I removed it again without realizing I had already done so.
Did nightelf37 start an edit war by re-adding something they wrote after I deleted it and did I engage in an edit war by removing it again even though it is part of a clean up?
