Personal opinion on this season is that it really sucked. The tegridy farms plot took over way to much with Randy coming very close in my view to becoming the Wesley of the show. Honestly my favorite episode of this season was "Let them eat Goo" mostly because it finally had Randy lose for once in this season. All in all this season was kinda lame, and the political stuff felt more like a crutch for the show especially with them not really having much to say.

Whenever it wasn't focused on Randy the episodes were at their best.

Yeah, I don't think I'll be watching that. I doubt Randy can carry an entire show on his own.

Well, after that pathetic performance during Saturday Night's game, Tom Brady can at least take solace in the face that people may no longer want to steal his fecal matter as he definitely seemed past his prime.

In other football news, LSU Tigers facing Clemson Tigers in the Championship game reminded me of the Not Without My Anus episode of South Park where the teams in the CFL championship had the same nickname.

Why is the website showing the title as Stan Marsh instead of South Park? Ex: Western Animation / Stan Marsh

Out of curiosity, is there any episode later that deals with Craigx Tweek, or was that just a one episode gag?

[up] Not so much an episode, but South Park: The Fractured but Whole gave the two of them a super attack that unlocks after you help them with their relationship counseling.

Also, "Put It Down" had Craig helping Tweek pull himself together and "Splatty Tomato" has them joining the other kids for reasons.

The show itself has paid very little attention to it since. I'm guessing Matt and Trey felt that story was basically done with once they did their gay romance plot.

I figure that once the decision was made to make their fake relationship an actual relationship (and not break them up permanently), it was harder to derive humor and plot from them since they're supporting characters with less substance to them than the main group.

Without elevating them beyond supporting Day in the Limelight status, you can really either make a plot where their two differing personalities lead to misunderstandings and shenanigans (which they did in Put It Down) or a plot where they break up and eventually make up for humor and drama (which they did in Fractured But Whole). And then maybe to a plot where they're the humorously contrasting Beta Couple to one of the main cast's Alpha couple, but who's even else in a relationship right now?

I also get the impression Craig isn't really a character they enjoy basing plots around. Before Craig X Tweek actually gave him something to do consistently, Craig had... what?... the Pandemic thing as a central character, and then Craig Vs Tweek way back in the very beginning of the series, and a brief run as Stan's rival somewhere in between there, but..?

Token is supposed to have a girlfriend.

It's still possible, seeing as Matt and Trey seem to be drifting away from the boys as main characters to some extent.

They do a lot of Writing by the Seat of Your Pants, and even with the growth of story arcs they've found themselves going in wildly different directions than they anticipated. PC Principal was supposed to be a one-episode joke character, but Parker and Stone found they liked him more than expected (he's one of the few to give Cartman a Shut Up, Hannibal!, in this case by beating the shit out of him). I think Craig and Tweek are on the same level as Mackay, where you can count their spotlight episodes on one hand despite being around forever. "Put It Down" became about them probably because being a new relationship helped drive the message cleaner, these things rarely start as an obvious "Now we'll do a Tweek/Craig story.".

One of my favorite South Park moments was the one where Matt & Trey troll the audience into thinking the episode will spawn into a second part.

Will Professor Chaos destroy the world? Who Will Stan Kyle & Cartman choose as they new friend? Which South Park character will die? All questions will be answered... now: no, Tweek, Ms. Chokesondick

Credit to Matt & Trey for doing this joke before The Simpsons Movie's "To Be Continued... Right Now" gag.

I think a lot of people here on this site demonizes Kyle or view him as an unimportant character.

Heck, someone even listed him as a sociopathic hero on his Character Page!

No! Kyle is not a sociopath! Stop treating him like if he’s a shitty character.

Stop ignoring that he does cares about his brother Ike, in the Dead Celebrities Recap page says that Kyle spent half of the episode talking with Cartman about chipotle, even though he STILL helped his baby brother!

In the Awesome page for the show, there’s no cute brotherly moments about Kyle defending Ike, for example, you could add the moment when he defends his brother from his own mom in the Season 20 finale episode, that was really awesome! In the Heartwarming page, there’s only THREE brotherly moments between them that are viewed as cute, you could also add the speech that Kyle made to Ike in the end of Miss Teacher bangs and that they hugged each other at the end.

The Kyle hate needs to stop!

Dude, calm down. No one here is "hating on Kyle". No one is having this argument. This thread is basically dead out of season, and I haven't seen anyone "hate on Kyle" in at least the past few years. Stop whipping up drama where there is none.

Also, if you really think this is such a big problem, bring it up here.

Also, this is the same Kyle who debuted the series by kicking his baby brother through a window. I think sociopathic hero is somewhat deserved just based on that. Also, this is South Park. All the characters are sociopathic to some degree.

I'm curious about where this crusade against supposed Kyle haters is even coming from. Looking back over the last few pages, nobody's said, implied or done anything of the sort.

Rewatching the newer episodes and this is REALLY bland. Even the skits with Acceptable Targets are boring. The fire is still there so maybe my sense of humour has become stale.

I dunno. As I got older I started to see the older episodes as aging badly and relying too much on shock value for humor, and the newer episodes as significantly better overall, with better jokes and character stuff.

Imo, it's like the difference between Family Guy and The Boondocks.
