Yeah, I like it when the cosplayer looks almost exactly like the character.

^ Mileage variance is commonplace in everything, even cosplay. I guess it takes skill to cosplay, but they have been all good examples of people with excellent skill.

You are not an anime character. You should not try to look like one, because it just ends up looking creepy as hell.

How is it creepy as hell? The only cosplay I really consider creepy is kigurumi, because of how their faces don't change.

I think doing cosplay is fun because it gives me an excuse other than Halloween to dress up and, unlike Halloween, it's usually with the goal of looking pretty and not the goal of making children cry.

Though making children cry is incredibly fun.

Anyway, keep 'em coming! This thread is relevant to my interests (those being reference pictures of anime-style characters with guaranteed correct anatomy and realistic lighting).
